Usually, you can’t finish a seasonal quest or claim its reward after the event ends. Check for an officially announced rerun, then search for the exact item at the event attendant, the Calamity Salvager, or Mog Station. Those are item-specific possibilities, not a guarantee that every missed reward can be recovered. Seasonal Event Replay can reopen eligible quest content, but it does not award the event’s rewards.
What you can do after an FFXIV event ends
Your options depend on the particular event, item, and your character’s eligibility. There is no universal recovery system for missed seasonal rewards. An event may return, a vendor may offer certain items from an earlier run, or an exact item may have a current official store listing. If none of those routes applies, the official information for that item does not confirm a way to obtain it now.
Start by identifying the item, not by assuming all old event rewards work alike. A mount, outfit, hairstyle, orchestrion roll, emote, minion, and quest-related purchase may have different acquisition rules, even when they came from the same event. The route that works for one reward may be unavailable for another reward from the same campaign.

Find the item’s exact name and the event that awarded it. Then consult the official FINAL FANTASY XIV Lodestone event page or announcement for the event dates, reward details, and any instructions about items available after the event. This helps distinguish a quest reward from an item that was sold by a vendor or offered through a separate store listing.

- Quest reward: Check whether the quest can still be completed, whether the event has returned, and whether the item is listed through an official vendor or store.
- Event-vendor item: Look for a specific post-event note naming the vendor and item. Do not assume a vendor stocks every reward from that event.
- Store item: Verify that the exact item is listed in the official store for your region. A past event announcement mentioning Mog Station does not prove that its event rewards are for sale there.
- Quest-related exchange: Check whether the item requires a quest flag, a prior completion, or another condition before an NPC will display it. The Calamity Salvager specifically warns that its stock varies according to conditions met by the player.
If you cannot determine the item’s original route, search its exact name on official FFXIV pages before spending time on replay or visiting vendors. Similar-looking items or items from different event years may not share the same availability.
Use this order to check your options
- Confirm the event is over. Check the official announcement for its dates and any end-of-event instructions. The Make It Rain Campaign 2026 page states: “Please note that seasonal quests cannot be completed after the event has concluded.” Treat the deadline as a real cutoff for that event’s quests, rather than assuming the quest giver will remain active.
- Look for an announced rerun. Check official Lodestone announcements and the event’s special site. If the event is active again, complete its quests before its new deadline. A previous rerun shows that a return is possible; it does not establish that another one is scheduled or that reruns happen on a fixed cycle.
- Check for an explicitly named event attendant. The Make It Rain 2026 page says certain items from previous campaign iterations were available from its campaign attendant. Check the relevant attendant for the exact item, the required currency, and any character conditions rather than assuming all prior rewards are stocked.
- Check the Calamity Salvager. Its official listing includes quest-reward purchase categories, but stock depends on conditions met by the player. Search for the precise item and account for any eligibility requirements shown in game. If the item is absent, that absence is meaningful; the NPC is not a catalog of every seasonal reward ever released.
- Check Mog Station or the official Online Store. Search for the exact reward and confirm that a listing applies to your region. The official pages cited here do not establish a current listing for any particular missed event reward. Do not substitute a similarly named bundle, character service, or progression item for the reward itself.
- Check your own characters and service account. Confirm that you are looking on the character and account that completed the original content, if the item is tied to completion or a claim. A missing item may be a delivery, storage, or ownership issue rather than an expired event, but the official item description should guide that check.
- Stop if no official route lists it. If there is no current rerun and the relevant vendor or official store does not offer the item, the available official information does not confirm a current way to get it. Watch official announcements for a possible return rather than relying on unofficial account sales or item trades.
How the possible routes differ
| Route | What it may let you do | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Active event or announced rerun | Complete the event while it is available and earn rewards through its stated requirements. | That the event will return again, or when it might return. |
| Seasonal Event Replay | Replay eligible quest content for events that support the feature. | That replay grants rewards. The official A Nocturne for Heroes special site says it does not. |
| Event attendant | Purchase or exchange specific items if the official event information says they are available and you meet the conditions. | That every past reward is stocked, or that the listing remains available indefinitely. |
| Calamity Salvager | Check eligible quest-reward purchase categories for the exact item. | That the item is in stock for every player; availability varies according to conditions met. |
| Mog Station or official Online Store | Purchase an exact item if it is currently listed for your region. | That a past event reward is listed merely because an event page mentions Mog Station. |
There is also an important difference between “possible” and “confirmed.” A rerun announcement confirms an opportunity only for the dates and requirements in that notice. A vendor note confirms only the named items and the vendor’s stated conditions. A store search confirms availability only if the exact item appears in the current regional catalog. None of these routes creates a general entitlement to every older reward.
Seasonal Event Replay is for quest content, not reward recovery
Replay is easy to mistake for a way to reclaim a missed item. It is not. The official A Nocturne for Heroes 2026 special site states: “You cannot obtain rewards by using the Seasonal Event Replay feature.” The official Maiden’s Rhapsody event page gives the same core warning: eligible players can replay past quest content, but replay itself does not award rewards.
Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallCrashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThat distinction matters even if you completed the event in an earlier year. During the 2026 A Nocturne for Heroes rerun, players who had completed the event in 2019, 2021, or 2024 were eligible to replay its quests. Eligibility to replay did not mean they could earn the event rewards again through replay. Replay is a narrative and quest-state feature, not a second reward claim.
Understand the replay warning before activating it
The 2026 A Nocturne for Heroes special site warns that replay makes certain quests incomplete. While those quests are incomplete, players cannot purchase or exchange related items from the Ironworks hand or recompense officers until the quests are completed again. If the event period ends before the player finishes the replayed quests, those items remain unavailable—even if the player had completed the quests before starting replay.
That creates a practical risk. A player who activates replay near the closing date can temporarily lose access to a quest-related purchase and then fail to restore it before the event ends. Read the replay warning, note which quests will be reset, and leave enough time to complete them. Do not activate replay merely to test whether it grants a mount or costume; the official notice already says it does not.

This warning is specific to that event’s replay setup. Do not assume the same NPCs, restrictions, or consequences apply to every seasonal event. Read the notice for the event you are replaying, especially if you are relying on an existing quest-related purchase or exchange.
What the 2026 FFXV rerun shows—and what it doesn’t
A Nocturne for Heroes, the FFXV collaboration, returned from September 24 through October 13, 2026. Its rewards included the Regalia Type-G mount, Lucian Prince costume set, Lucian Locks hairstyle, and orchestrion rolls. The 2026 announcement described the rerun as identical to the earlier event.
This is a concrete example of a rerun restoring an opportunity to earn event rewards while the event is active. It is not evidence that every seasonal event returns, that reruns follow a predictable schedule, or that an event will run again after its announced dates. As of October 13, 2026, that rerun’s announced window ends on that date; check the official event notice for its current status and deadline details.
The example also shows why dates matter. Players who waited for a replay feature after September 24 could revisit eligible quests, but replay did not provide the Regalia Type-G or the other listed rewards. Players seeking those rewards had to use the active event’s stated progression while the rerun was open.
Can you still get the event mount?
Possibly, but the answer depends on the mount and event. If the event is currently active or officially rerun, follow its quest requirements before the deadline. If it has ended, search the mount’s exact name in official event information and check the relevant attendant, the Calamity Salvager, and the official store. For example, the Regalia Type-G was among the rewards listed for the 2026 FFXV rerun; that fact alone does not mean it is currently purchasable outside the event.
If the mount was a direct quest reward, a vendor listing may not exist at all. If it was an exchange item, the event attendant may be the only post-event possibility. If it was ever sold through Mog Station, the current regional listing—not an old announcement or a third-party database—determines whether a purchase is possible now.

If no official listing or active event provides the mount, do not treat replay as a substitute for earning it. The official A Nocturne for Heroes site expressly says replay does not grant rewards.
Outfits, hairstyles, orchestrion rolls, and other rewards
The same check applies to non-mount rewards. A costume set may be tied to a quest completion, while an orchestrion roll may be sold or exchanged separately. A hairstyle may appear in a reward list but not in a later vendor catalog. Never infer availability from the item category alone.
Search the full in-game name, including punctuation and suffixes such as “Orchestrion Roll,” “Attire,” or “Hairstyle.” Then compare the item against the event announcement’s reward list and any named attendant list. If the pages describe several rewards but identify only certain prior items as vendor stock, assume the distinction is intentional.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWhen a store mention is not proof of availability
The official FFXV event special site mentions optional progression items sold through Mog Station for players who need to meet the event’s requirements. That is different from saying the event’s mount, outfit, hairstyle, or other missed reward is for sale. Check the current official store listing for the exact reward and your region before concluding it can be purchased.
Store listings can also be region-specific and can change over time. Confirm the item title, contents, platform or service-account applicability, and any stated purchase restrictions. If the official catalog does not show the exact reward, do not treat a related bundle or progression item as a substitute. The cited event pages do not verify a current store listing for any particular missed reward.
A physical game edition, guide, accessory, collectible, or toy does not restore access to a missed digital event reward. The relevant question is whether the exact in-game item has a current official acquisition route.

Costs and requirements you should verify
These routes do not share one standard price. An active event may require only the event’s quests and any stated in-game conditions. An event attendant may require a campaign currency or another exchange condition. The Calamity Salvager may show a purchase cost and may hide stock until your character meets the required quest flags. Mog Station or the Online Store may show a real-money price if the exact item is listed.
Because those costs and conditions are item-specific, do not publish or rely on a generic gil amount, token amount, or store price. Open the current in-game vendor window or official regional listing and verify the requirement at the time you intend to obtain the item. A page from an earlier event year may describe a different currency, price, or eligibility rule.
Common mistakes that waste time
- Assuming every old event returns: The FFXV collaboration returned, but its rerun does not create a schedule for other events.
- Using replay to chase rewards: Official notices explicitly separate replayable quest content from reward acquisition.
- Checking only one NPC: An item absent from the Calamity Salvager may still have an event-attendant route, and vice versa.
- Searching by category instead of exact name: “Old event mount” is not enough to establish availability. Use the precise item name.
- Confusing progression items with rewards: Mog Station items that help meet event requirements are not proof that the event reward itself is sold there.
- Ignoring the closing date: Seasonal quests can become impossible to complete once the event concludes.
- Activating replay at the last minute: Reset quest states can block exchanges, and the block may persist if the event ends before you finish the replayed quests.
- Trusting unofficial sellers: Account sales and unverified item offers do not establish a legitimate or supported acquisition route.
If none of the official options works
If the event has ended, no rerun is announced, and the precise item is absent from the relevant official vendor and store listings, there may be no confirmed way to obtain it at present. That is different from proof that it will never return: the official announcements establish specific event windows and item exceptions, not a permanent policy for every reward.
Keep an eye on official Lodestone announcements for a future rerun or explicit vendor availability. Save the exact item name and the event name so you can check quickly when a new notice appears. Until an official notice names a route, avoid assuming the item is recoverable through replay, player trades, or an unverified seller.
A quick decision checklist
- Write down the exact item name and the event that originally awarded it.
- Confirm the original event dates and whether its seasonal quests are closed.
- Search official announcements for an active or announced rerun.
- If a rerun is active, complete the reward quest before its deadline.
- If the event is over, check the named campaign attendant and the Calamity Salvager.
- Read eligibility and quest-state warnings before using Seasonal Event Replay.
- Search Mog Station or the official Online Store for the exact item in your region.
- If no official route lists it, treat availability as unconfirmed and monitor future notices.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I replay an old FFXIV seasonal event and get its mount again?
Usually no. Seasonal Event Replay is for eligible quest content, not reward recovery. The official A Nocturne for Heroes 2026 special site states that rewards cannot be obtained through replay.

Can I finish a seasonal quest after the event ends?
Generally no. The Make It Rain Campaign 2026 notice says seasonal quests cannot be completed after the event has concluded. Check the specific event notice for any named exception.

Where should I look for an old event item?
Check the exact item at the event’s named campaign attendant, the Calamity Salvager, and Mog Station or the official Online Store. Availability is item-specific and conditional.
Does the Calamity Salvager contain every missed event reward?
No. Its listing includes quest-reward categories, but stock varies according to conditions met by the player. An item may not be listed there at all.
If an event returned once, will it return again?
Not necessarily. The 2026 FFXV rerun demonstrates that a collaboration can return, but it does not promise another rerun or establish a schedule for other events.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Can I buy an old event reward because the event page mentions Mog Station?
Not automatically. Some pages mention optional progression items sold through Mog Station. Verify a current listing for the exact reward and your region before assuming it is purchasable.
What happens if I activate Seasonal Event Replay near the deadline?
For A Nocturne for Heroes, replay made certain quests incomplete and blocked related purchases or exchanges until those quests were completed again. If the event ended first, the restrictions could remain. Read the specific event warning before activating replay.
Can I trade with another player to get a missed seasonal reward?
Do not assume so. The official information does not establish that every event reward is tradeable, and unofficial account sales or item offers are not confirmed acquisition routes.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: After an FFXIV event ends, first look for an official rerun, then check the exact item at the named event attendant, the Calamity Salvager, and the official Mog Station or Online Store listing. Seasonal Event Replay restores quest content for eligible players but does not grant rewards. If no official route lists the item, its current availability is unconfirmed—watch the Lodestone rather than trusting assumptions or unofficial sellers.
