There is no official way to unlock everything in Toca Boca World for free. The app is free to download, but it includes paid in-app purchases. The current U.S. App Store listing, for example, shows Modern Mansion for $2.99 and Character Creator for $4.99.
You can still build a substantial collection without paying by using the starter world, claiming weekly Post Office gifts, and installing updates that add content for everyone. Avoid websites promising unlock codes, modified apps, or a cheat command: Toca Boca does not document an official command or “unlock everything” switch.
What you get without paying
The free starting content is Bop City, which includes eight locations and 39 characters. That is the guaranteed starter content described by Toca Boca’s help center.
Free content can also arrive through updates. Recent App Store version notes show several examples:

How to claim the weekly free gift
The Post Office gift is the most reliable recurring way to add free furniture, outfits, decorations, and pets to your collection.
- Open Toca Boca World.
- Travel to Bop City.
- Enter the Post Office.
- Tap the button marked with the gift symbol.
- Wait for the gift to appear.
- Double-tap the gift to open it and collect its contents.
Toca Boca says a new gift is released every Friday worldwide at the same time. Each weekly gift is available for one week only, so check the Post Office before the week ends. The exact release time may depend on when the worldwide release occurs; updating the app is also recommended.
Recommended Free Tools
Are all previous gifts still available?
No. The current official rule is one weekly gift for one week. The often-repeated claim that “all past gifts are available forever” is not a current general rule.
There is one specific permanent exception: gifts from 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 remain on the Post Office shelves from the earlier Gift Bonanza anniversary event. That exception does not mean every gift released afterward is permanently claimable. An older App Store article described Gift Bonanza as a temporary event that ended on December 4.
Look for free items in updated locations
The App Store listing also promotes hidden gems, secret rooms, and surprises in locations. Explore the free areas you already have, but do not treat unofficial lists of “every secret item” as complete: Toca Boca does not publish a current, complete inventory of all free hidden items.
Also check the version history after updating. A new location, building, furniture set, or item may become available to everyone without requiring a purchase. This is different from a paid bundle being discounted or from an unofficial unlock method.

What not to do
Do not search for cheat commands
No official command syntax, cheat code, or in-game switch is documented for unlocking the paid catalog. Guides that tell you to enter a code, type a console command, or paste a “free unlock” phrase are not supported by the official instructions.
Do not install modified APKs or hacked versions
A modified app can expose the device to malware, break saved data, or cause account and purchase problems. It can also be a disguised download that asks for unnecessary permissions or login details. The legitimate free options are the starter content, weekly gifts, and content released to everyone in updates.
Do not uninstall the app to fix missing gifts
Toca Boca says saved data and progress are stored locally on the device. Uninstalling the game removes that local data, including gifts. If you change devices or uninstall and reinstall, the company says missing gifts cannot be restored manually.
How to recover gifts after a crash or reset
If gifts disappeared after a crash or an accidental reset, use the in-game reset procedure instead of uninstalling:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- Return to the game’s start screen.
- Press the red reset button in the top-right corner.
- Open Bop City and check the Post Office shelves for the missing gifts.
There is an important trade-off: a manual reset clears your world progress. Toca Boca says purchases and characters created in Character Creator should remain, and the reset may also fix missing or distorted created characters. Because world progress is reset, use this only when the missing-gift problem justifies it.
What “free” means in Toca Boca World
| Content or method | Free? | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| App download | Yes | The App Store labels the app “Free · In-App Purchases.” |
| Bop City starter world | Yes | Includes eight locations and 39 characters. |
| Weekly Post Office gift | Yes | Released every Friday and normally available for one week. |
| Publicly announced free updates | Yes | Some locations and items are released for everyone. |
| Paid packs and tools | No | Examples listed by Apple include Modern Mansion at $2.99 and Character Creator at $4.99. |
| Cheat commands or “unlock everything” codes | Not officially available | No official command or switch is documented. |
Best legitimate strategy for building your collection
- Update the app first. This ensures you have the latest free locations, items, and gift content.
- Visit the Post Office every Friday. Open the gift and place the items somewhere safe in your world.
- Explore Bop City thoroughly. Look for the advertised hidden rooms, surprises, and usable objects.
- Read the version history. It identifies content released for all players.
- Protect your local save. Do not uninstall the game just because a gift is missing; try the official reset procedure first, understanding that world progress will be cleared.
This approach will not provide every paid house, pack, outfit, or creator tool. It will, however, give you the official free content and prevent the two most damaging mistakes: installing an untrusted modified app and deleting local save data.

How do I get free items in Toca Boca World?
Go to Bop City, enter the Post Office, tap the gift-symbol button, wait for the gift, and double-tap it to open it. Weekly gifts are released every Friday and normally remain available for one week.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Are old Toca Boca gifts available forever?
Not all of them. Toca Boca says gifts from 2018 through 2021 remain permanently on the Post Office shelves. The current general rule for other weekly gifts is one week of availability.
What should I do if my claimed gifts disappear?
From the start screen, press the red reset button in the top-right corner, then check the Post Office shelves. This resets world progress, although Toca Boca says purchases and Character Creator characters should remain. Do not uninstall the game.
Does reinstalling Toca Boca World restore lost gifts?
No. Saved data is stored locally, and uninstalling removes local progress and gifts. Toca Boca says gifts lost after uninstalling, reinstalling, or changing devices cannot be restored manually.
Is there a Toca Boca World unlock code or cheat command?
No official command, code, or unlock-everything switch is documented. Be cautious with sites offering hacked apps, generator tools, or download files.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: You cannot officially get every Toca Boca World item for free. Use the eight-location, 39-character Bop City starter world, claim the Post Office gift every Friday, install updates that release content to everyone, and protect your local save. Treat “all gifts forever,” reinstall-to-restore, and unlock-code claims as inaccurate or unsafe unless Toca Boca’s current support pages explicitly confirm them.
