Go to the Safe Zone, open the Pickaxe Shop, buy a pickaxe with Cash, and equip it before returning to an egg. The latest dated guide, published October 15, 2026, lists 20 pickaxes: Wooden through Enchanted. Two other October 2026 guides list 18 and stop at Celestial, so Sci Fi and Enchanted should be confirmed against the shop currently visible in your Roblox game.
How many pickaxes are in Break and Steal an Egg?
The most recent dated list available for Break and Steal an Egg contains 20 entries. It starts with the free Wooden pickaxe and ends with Enchanted. The first 18 names, ending with Celestial, appear consistently across multiple October 2026 guides. Sci Fi and Enchanted appear only in the guide dated October 15, 2026, which makes the live in-game shop the deciding authority if your server shows a different list.
Pickaxes are a normal in-game progression system. You do not need a physical pickaxe, a special product, or an item outside Roblox. Cash is the reported purchase currency, and each upgrade has to be bought and then equipped before it affects egg breaking.

The table uses the values reported in the October 15, 2026 guide. Costs are displayed with the game’s abbreviations: K means thousand, M means million, B means billion, T means trillion and Qa means quadrillion. The prices are reported Cash costs, not Robux prices.

“Power” is the reported strength value for the tool. It is not a movement statistic, and the table does not establish that every server or future update will retain these exact values. If a row, price or stat in your shop differs, use the value shown in your own game.
Where the Pickaxe Shop is located
Travel to the Safe Zone. The Pickaxe Shop is reported next to the Animal Merging machine, making that machine a useful landmark when you enter the area. Shop placement can change with an update, so look for the pickaxe displays if the neighboring machine is not in the same position on your server.
You must reach the Safe Zone before you can use this purchase route. The guides describe Cash as the ordinary way to obtain the tools; they do not require a physical item or a separate paid product.

- Reach the Safe Zone. Enter the area where the Animal Merging machine and Pickaxe Shop are located.
- Open the Pickaxe Shop. Walk to the pickaxe displays and interact with the shop interface.
- Check the displayed Cash price. Select the next pickaxe you want and verify that your balance meets the price shown by the game. The table above is a planning reference, not a substitute for the live price.
- Use the purchase control. Click the price or purchase button for that row. A successful transaction should add the tool to your inventory or equipment collection.
- Equip the new tool. Open the inventory or equipment interface, select the purchased pickaxe and make it the active tool. Buying it without equipping it leaves your previous pickaxe in use.
- Return to an egg. With the new pickaxe selected, left-click the egg to apply its Power.
Wooden is granted at the beginning, so it is the first entry even though it has no purchase cost. Stone is the first reported paid upgrade at $80 and Power 4. The same buy-then-equip process applies to every later row.
What Power does—and what it does not do
Power affects egg damage
Power determines how strongly or quickly a pickaxe damages an egg. A higher value is therefore most useful when breaking the egg is the slowest part of your run. The reported progression rises from Wooden at Power 1 to Enchanted at Power 250B, with each listed upgrade providing a larger egg-breaking value.
Power does not increase running Speed
Pickaxe Power is separate from movement. It does not make your character run faster, provide a substitute for Trails, or by itself unlock a zone that depends on movement requirements. Travel time, entering a zone and escaping guards are described as movement-system problems rather than pickaxe problems.

- Egg takes too long to break: prioritize the next affordable pickaxe with more Power.
- Travel or escaping is the problem: improve the movement systems available to you, such as Speed or Trails, instead of expecting a new pickaxe to solve it.
- Both are slow: observe which part consumes more of a typical run, then spend Cash on that constraint first.
This distinction prevents a common mistake: buying a stronger pickaxe and expecting it to fix a movement-related failure. The tool changes egg damage, not running Speed.

Progressing through the ladder without wasting Cash
Start with the guaranteed baseline
Wooden is your starting tool at Power 1. Use it until you can afford Stone, the first listed purchase at $80 and Power 4. The early rows are Wooden, Stone, Iron, Golden and Diamond; their reported costs are Free, $80, $800, $20K and $160K respectively.
Move through the million and billion tiers
After Diamond, the reported ladder continues through Strawberry ($1.2M, Power 1K), Cactus ($6M, 4K), Lightning ($40M, 15K), Candy ($400M, 60K), Rainbow ($2.8B, 250K), Crystal ($20B, 1M) and Demon ($120B, 4M). These names are purchase rows, not separate quests identified in the available instructions. When you can pay for the next displayed row, buy it from the Safe Zone shop and equip it.
Plan for the trillion and quadrillion rows
The late ladder is Hacker ($1.2T, Power 15M), UFO ($12T, 60M), Secret ($80T, 250M), Cool ($600T, 1B), Galaxy ($4Qa, 5B), Celestial ($20Qa, 25B), Sci Fi ($75Qa, 75B) and Enchanted ($200Qa, 250B). The Qa suffix means quadrillion in the shop’s notation. Because these figures are extremely large, read the suffix carefully before confirming a purchase; K, M, B, T and Qa are not interchangeable.
Do not skip the equip step
The shop transaction and the active-tool selection are separate actions. After each purchase, check the equipment interface before attacking an egg. If the old name remains selected, the new Power has not yet been applied even though Cash was spent.

Why different guides show 18 or 20 pickaxes
Two October 2026 guides list 18 standard pickaxes and end with Celestial. The October 15, 2026 guide lists 20 and adds Sci Fi and Enchanted. That difference can result from a newer update, a guide being published before the final rows were documented, or a shop that displays content differently by version; the available evidence does not establish which explanation applies.
Use this practical rule:
- Open the Pickaxe Shop in your current server.
- Count the rows and read the names, prices and Power values shown there.
- Use the 20-row table as a reference for planning, especially for the commonly repeated first 18 rows.
- Treat Sci Fi and Enchanted as provisional until they are visible in your shop.
The live Roblox interface outranks a dated web list. A guide can become stale after a balance change, while the shop is the place where your actual purchase is authorized.

The shop is not where you expect
Confirm that you are in the Safe Zone, then use the Animal Merging machine as the reported landmark. If the layout has changed, scan the Safe Zone for pickaxe displays rather than assuming the shop has been removed.

Compare your Cash balance with the price displayed in the shop, including its suffix. A row that costs $20Qa cannot be purchased with a balance that only reaches $20T. Also check whether you are attempting to buy a row that your current shop does not list.

The pickaxe was bought but the egg breaks at the old rate
Open your inventory or equipment interface and select the purchased pickaxe. The documented process requires equipping the item after purchase. Then return to the egg and left-click while that tool is active.
You expected faster movement
That is a stat mismatch, not necessarily a failed purchase. Power changes egg damage; it does not raise Speed. For a travel or escape problem, investigate the movement options available in your game, including Speed and Trails.
Your list stops at Celestial
That matches the 18-row lists reported by two October guides. Check the live shop for Sci Fi and Enchanted instead of assuming they are missing from your account. If those rows are absent, follow the 18 entries your version actually exposes.
The displayed price differs from the table
Prefer the in-game price. The published values are dated reports, and prices or availability can change. Record the name, cost and Power shown in your own shop before spending Cash if you are comparing your server with an older guide.
Quick checklist for every upgrade
- Are you inside the Safe Zone?
- Did you find the Pickaxe Shop near the reported Animal Merging landmark?
- Does your Cash balance cover the price currently displayed?
- Did the shop confirm the purchase?
- Did you equip the new pickaxe rather than merely buying it?
- Are you testing it by left-clicking an egg?
- Is the problem actually egg damage, or is it movement, zone access or escaping?
- Does your live shop list the same number of rows as the guide?
What to remember
Wooden is the free Power 1 starter. Stone is the first reported paid upgrade at $80 and Power 4. The commonly repeated progression contains 18 rows through Celestial, while the newest dated list adds Sci Fi and Enchanted for a total of 20. All purchases are made with Cash at the Pickaxe Shop in the Safe Zone, and every tool must be equipped before use. Power speeds egg damage; it does not replace Speed or Trails for movement. Because the game can change, verify the name, price and Power in the live shop before committing your Cash.
