In Clover Time’s beta, the main way to get Normal, Medium, and Big Chests is to farm bosses. Normal Chests also have reward-based routes, while opening lower-tier chests can reportedly build pity toward higher tiers. The drop rates and pity rules below come from two gaming guides updated October 6–7, 2026, not official developer documentation, and some figures conflict.
Which chest should you farm?
Choose a target based on the tier you need and the reported boss odds. Pro Game Guides recommends Chain Bandit for Normal Chests, Mana Wolf for Medium Chests, and Fire Mage for Big Chests as relatively easy farming targets. These are guide recommendations, not independently measured comparisons.
| Chest sought | Reported boss route | Reported chance | Other reported route or progression |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | Pro Game Guides lists Chain Bandit, Earth Bandit, Mana Wolf, Zora, and Fire Mage. Gamezebo lists Salik instead of Chain Bandit, alongside Earth Bandit, Mana Wolf, Zora, and Fire Mage. | 9.5% per listed boss in both guides. | Daily and Playtime Rewards are reported by Pro Game Guides. Gamezebo additionally reports a first-time tutorial reward, an offer when pressing Esc to leave, and a Robux purchase in the developer product store. |
| Medium | Both guides list Mana Wolf, Zora, Fire Mage, and Magna Swing; the fifth name is Heath Grice in Pro Game Guides and Heart Grice in Gamezebo. | Pro Game Guides: 3.45% per boss. Gamezebo: 9.5% for Mana Wolf, Zora, and Fire Mage; 3.45% for Heart Grice and Magna Swing. | Both guides report one Medium Chest per 50 Normal Chests opened. Gamezebo also reports a 0.56% Medium Chest drop from a Normal Chest. |
| Big | Fire Mage, Heath/Heart Grice, and Magna Swing. | Both guides report 0.75% per listed boss. | Gamezebo reports one Big Chest per 25 Medium Chests opened and a 0.63% Big Chest drop from a Medium Chest. |
Pro Game Guides says Fire Mage is the only boss that can drop all three chest types. Names and some odds differ between the guides, so check the game’s current boss names and drops rather than treating these numbers as guaranteed. See Pro Game Guides’ Clover Time chest guide and Gamezebo’s Clover Time chest guide.
What Normal Chests reportedly contain
The quantities and odds in this table are Gamezebo’s figures dated October 6, 2026. Pro Game Guides gives a conflicting Stone Ore chance: 100%, rather than Gamezebo’s 8.99%. The odds below are guide-reported and not independently verified.

Sources classify Nero differently: Gamezebo calls it an Item, while Pro Game Guides calls it a Pet. Pro Game Guides also summarizes Medium Chest at 10% and Notifier at 3.3% from a Big Chest; those entries do not align neatly with every distinct Gamezebo reward entry, so treat each source’s list as its own reported table.

- Pro Game Guides reports maximum holdings of 50 Normal Chests, 25 Medium Chests, and 10 Big Chests.
- Both guides report that opening 50 Normal Chests yields one Medium Chest. Gamezebo further reports one Big Chest per 25 Medium Chests opened.
- Gamezebo reports one Mana Crystal per 10 Big Chests opened. Pro Game Guides does not independently confirm this threshold.
The guides do not explain whether pity progress carries across sessions, whether it resets after a reward, or how the game handles partial progress. Confirm the counter or current in-game behavior before planning around these thresholds.

How to use the reported odds
For a practical route, farm the boss named for the chest tier you want, and treat its percentage as a reported chance per listed boss rather than a promise about a fixed number of kills. If you are building toward Medium or Big Chests, track chest openings as well as boss drops, since the guides report opening-based thresholds. Because Clover Time is described as a beta and may change, boss names, caps, reward routes, and odds may differ in a later game update; the cited guides were updated October 6 and 7, 2026.
