To leave the Frigate, retrace the engine-port route to the lower exterior wing, continue to the rear docking bay, and ride a Reclaimer down to the map. Landing on the ground does not finish the raid: you must still reach an active extraction point.
The documented way down
The Frigate’s practical return route reverses the path used to reach it. From the ship’s interior, go back through the engine port, descend to the lower exterior wing, and continue toward the rear docking bay. A Reclaimer at that dock is the clearest documented way to return to the host map.
When you boarded the Frigate, a Reclaimer carried you upward after you climbed or grappled onto it and interacted with it to disrupt its flight. For the trip down, board a Reclaimer at the rear dock and ride it without disrupting it. After it sets you down, treat the landing as a return to the map, not as extraction from the raid.
Step-by-step: return through the rear dock
- Leave the Frigate’s central area and locate the engine port. Use the same broad route you followed while moving toward the ship. If you are unsure of your position, orient yourself toward the engine section rather than searching the ship’s perimeter at random.
- Pass through the engine port. The engine port is the transition from the ship’s interior route to the exterior approach. Keep following the descending path instead of attempting to jump directly from a high deck.
- Descend to the lower exterior wing. The lower wing is the intermediate landing area between the engine port and the rear docking bay. Move carefully and keep the next objective in sight; the goal is to reach the lower level, not merely the nearest outside ledge.
- Continue to the rear docking bay. Follow the lower wing toward the ship’s rear. The documented route places the return vehicle at this rear dock, so do not commit to an improvised descent while you are still above the wing.
- Board a Reclaimer at the dock. Climb or grapple onto the vehicle when it is available and use the interaction prompt shown by your current game build. The interaction details and button labels can change by platform or update, so follow the prompt on screen rather than relying on a fixed key or controller button.
- Ride the vehicle down without disrupting it. The upward trip requires disrupting the Reclaimer so it flies toward the Frigate; that is not the action you want on the return journey. Once aboard at the rear dock, remain on the vehicle and let it carry you to the ground.
- Confirm that you have landed on the host map. The descent is complete when you are back in the normal map space. You are still in the raid, with the ordinary extraction objective ahead of you.
- Travel to an active extraction point and leave normally. Open the map, identify an extraction that is active in the current run, and make your way there. Do not wait at the Reclaimer landing area expecting the Frigate ride itself to count as a successful extraction.
Why the Reclaimer is the safest choice
The Reclaimer is not just a convenient vehicle near the Frigate. It is the traversal method established for reaching the ship: a player climbs or grapples onto one, interacts with it to disrupt its route, and is carried toward the Frigate. That makes a Reclaimer at the rear docking bay the most consistent documented counterpart for returning to the map.

The important distinction is the vehicle’s use on each leg. On the ascent, disruption redirects the vehicle toward the Frigate. On the descent, the guides describe boarding at the rear dock and riding down without disrupting it. If an interaction menu presents several actions, choose the one that keeps the vehicle’s normal downward journey rather than the action used to send it toward the ship.
What to do after touchdown
Plan the ground-map escape before you board the Reclaimer. The ride solves only the vertical problem of leaving the Frigate; it does not complete the raid.
- Check the map immediately after landing. Identify which extraction points are active and select one that is reachable from your landing position.
- Leave the dock area instead of waiting for another ship interaction. The documented sequence ends with the Reclaimer’s touchdown and then directs the player to a regular map extraction.
- Allow for normal ground travel. You may need to cross the host map, avoid threats, and reach the extraction zone under the same conditions as any other raid exit.
- Verify the extraction state before committing. An inactive point cannot replace the active extraction required to finish the run.
Thinking of the trip as two separate transitions prevents the most common mistake: treating “back on the map” and “out of the raid” as the same event.

Alternative: a cargo descent
A second current guide describes descending with a cargo drop. This provides another way to get from the Frigate back to the map when the opportunity is available, but it has the same limitation as the Reclaimer ride: the cargo drop is not extraction.
If you use the cargo route, verify that you have actually reached the host map after the drop, then open the map and continue to an active, ordinary extraction point. Do not abandon the run because the cargo descent placed you on the ground; the raid remains unfinished until the normal exit succeeds.

When you can reach the rear docking bay, choose the Reclaimer route. Use the cargo option only when it is clearly available and you understand that you still need to extract on the ground. Treat floating-platform reports as unconfirmed rather than as a dependable escape mechanic.

Preparation before leaving the ship
A few checks make the return less risky without assuming any unverified spawn schedule or fixed control binding.

Your landmarks are the engine port, lower exterior wing, and rear docking bay. If you cannot identify those areas, spend a moment orienting yourself before moving away from the Frigate’s central section.
- Keep enough time and resources for the map exit. Returning to the ground is only the first half of the escape. You still need to travel to an active extraction point.
- Watch for the vehicle rather than assuming a spawn. Exact Reclaimer availability and spawn timing by map were not established in the current official material. If one is not immediately present, check the dock and your surroundings instead of treating an absent vehicle as a confirmed bug.
- Use the live interaction prompt. Button labels can vary with platform and build. The on-screen prompt is more reliable than a guide that lists one fixed key.
- Keep the cargo option in reserve. If a cargo descent is visibly available, it may provide another way down, but do not confuse it with the extraction step that follows.
Map rotation matters
The Frigate is tied to a map condition rather than being a permanently available route on every deployment. The official ARC Raiders site displayed an “ARC Frigate” condition for Pendola Pass on October 13, 2026. Conditions and map rotations are volatile, so check the current map screen before deploying instead of assuming Pendola Pass—or any other map—will have the Frigate in the same state every run.
This also explains why a guide may describe a route that you cannot currently reproduce: the Frigate condition, map rotation, and vehicle availability can change independently of the basic route. Use the current in-game map and prompts to confirm that the ship and its return vehicle are part of your run.

Troubleshooting the return
You cannot find the rear docking bay
Return to the last clear landmark rather than searching every exterior platform. The intended sequence is engine port first, lower exterior wing second, rear dock third. If you are above the lower wing, you have not yet reached the documented vehicle area.
There is no obvious Reclaimer at the dock
Check the dock and its approach again, and confirm that the current map condition includes the Frigate. The available evidence does not establish a universal spawn timer or map-specific vehicle schedule, so do not rely on a fixed waiting period. Follow whatever interaction prompt the current build displays.

You accidentally use the ascent interaction
Stop and reassess before leaving the dock. The ascent requires disrupting a Reclaimer so it travels toward the Frigate; the return route calls for riding down without disrupting it. If the vehicle begins moving in the wrong direction, use the current in-game controls and reassess your position rather than attempting an unsupported jump.

You land but cannot finish the raid
Open the map and look for an extraction point marked active in the current run. The Frigate ride, a cargo drop, and touchdown on the host map are all intermediate steps. A regular active extraction is still required.
You are considering floating platforms
Community discussion has mentioned them, but the report is anecdotal and does not establish a guaranteed mechanic. Prefer the rear-dock Reclaimer route or the documented cargo alternative when either is available.
Limits of fixed instructions
Current route descriptions identify the landmarks and the required outcome, but they do not establish exact button prompts, vehicle spawn timing, or map-specific Reclaimer availability from an official current-build source. Those details can vary by platform, patch, and map condition. Use the route as a navigation framework and verify the live prompt, vehicle state, and extraction status in your own deployment.

- Ride down without disrupting the vehicle.
- After touchdown, open the host-map view.
- Reach an active extraction point and complete the normal exit.
If the Reclaimer route is unavailable but a cargo descent is clearly offered, use it only as a substitute for the ride down—not as a substitute for the final extraction.
