Fix War Robots on PC by identifying the failure first: rubber-banding and disconnects usually require network testing, low frame rates and stutter point to graphics or hardware, and crashes or a client that will not open point to drivers, local game data, or a support case. Work through one change at a time so you know which test helped.
Start by identifying the symptom
Different symptoms have different likely causes. Changing graphics settings will not repair a weak Wi-Fi path, and replacing network equipment will not repair a GPU-driver crash. Use the first symptom you see in this table to choose the right branch.

Make only one change between tests. Record the map or menu, approximate time, whether the issue happened every match or intermittently, and what changed. That small log prevents you from confusing a temporary network improvement with a graphics fix.

MY.GAMES says weak or unstable connections are the usual cause of connection issues. Steam also states that War Robots requires a stable internet connection for the best gameplay experience. Lag can therefore be caused by the path between your PC and the game service even when other websites appear to work normally.

1. Restart both ends of your local connection
- Close War Robots and any launcher or emulator window.
- Restart Windows. This clears temporary client and network state and ensures pending driver changes are not being tested in a half-updated session.
- Unplug the Wi-Fi router or access point, wait briefly for it to power down, reconnect it, and wait until it has fully restored its connection.
- Launch the game only after the network is usable, then play a short match and compare the symptom with your notes.
This is MY.GAMES’s first-line instruction for a Wi-Fi connection. If the problem returns immediately, continue with the comparisons below rather than repeatedly rebooting.
2. Compare Ethernet, 2.4 GHz, and 5 GHz
- Ethernet: If possible, connect the PC directly to the router for one controlled test. Improvement suggests that the wireless path, rather than the game client, deserves attention.
- 5 GHz Wi-Fi: It generally offers more room away from crowded 2.4 GHz channels, but its signal does not travel as far through walls.
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi: It can reach farther, while sharing spectrum with more household devices. Test it when the PC is distant from the router or 5 GHz is unreliable.
Switch bands using the Wi-Fi network selector in Windows or the router’s separate network names, then repeat the same type of in-game activity. Do not change graphics settings during this comparison. A temporary improvement on Ethernet, another band, or another network is evidence of a local network-path issue, not proof that one specific cable, router, or frequency is permanently faulty.
3. Reduce wireless interference
MY.GAMES recommends changing the wireless channel when interference is suspected. Use the router’s wireless settings to select a less crowded channel, apply the change, reconnect the PC, and repeat your controlled test. Keep the PC and router in open positions rather than behind dense furniture or enclosed cabinets where practical.
Bluetooth headphones can also matter: MY.GAMES specifically notes that headphones using the same 2.4 GHz band may contribute to interference. For one test, use wired headphones or disable Bluetooth audio while playing. If the symptom changes, reintroduce devices one at a time to identify the combination that causes trouble.

4. Test another network
Connect the PC to a different Wi-Fi network, such as a phone hotspot where your data plan permits it, and run a short match. A different result narrows the problem to the original network path, its wireless environment, or its internet route. It does not establish that the alternate network is suitable for regular play; hotspot capacity and data limits can make it only a diagnostic test.
If every tested network produces the same rubber-banding or disconnects, stop changing router channels and move to the client, driver, and support branches. There is no official prevalence percentage for PC lag or disconnects, so a universal “normal lag rate” cannot be inferred from the available guidance.
Check whether the PC meets War Robots’ published requirements
Use the figures published by MY.GAMES for the PC version. They are a baseline, not a guarantee of a fixed frame rate or immunity from crashes.

MY.GAMES labels the RAM and graphics figures as “2 GB RAM minimum; 8 GB RAM recommended” and “DX11 graphics with 2 GB VRAM minimum; NVIDIA GTX 960 recommended” in its 2026 requirements information. The table does not state a recommended storage type or a guaranteed frame rate.

How to check your Windows PC
- Press
Windows+R, entermsinfo32, and pressEnter. The System Information window shows the Windows edition, processor, and installed physical memory. - Press
Windows+R, enterdxdiag, and pressEnter. The System and Display tabs show DirectX information, the GPU model, and graphics memory details reported by the driver. - Open File Explorer, right-click the drive containing the game, choose Properties, and verify that at least the published storage allowance is available. Leave additional free space for Windows and updates rather than filling the drive completely.
If the machine is below the minimum, lower expectations before buying hardware: the published requirements do not promise smooth play at that level. If it meets or exceeds the recommended figures and the symptom is still a crash or severe stutter, investigate drivers and shader data instead of assuming the network is at fault.
Reduce stutter and graphics instability
Update the graphics driver
Obtain the current driver for the GPU manufacturer installed in the PC, install it using the manufacturer’s normal Windows process, and restart before testing War Robots. A driver update is especially relevant when a problem began after a Windows update, a game update, or a change of graphics hardware.
Do not judge the update from the first launch alone. The game may rebuild shader data, so run the same short test you used before and compare frame pacing, visual glitches, and whether the client remains open. If the update makes the problem worse, use the driver installer’s rollback or restore option and document both versions for support.
Clear the vendor shader cache when a crash or visual fault points to it
MY.GAMES’s technical guidance identifies GPU failure as one possible cause of crashes and describes clearing shader-cache folders for NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel graphics. A stale or corrupted cache can make a game fail while compiling or loading shaders, but clearing it is not a universal cure and will not repair an unstable connection.

- Close War Robots, the launcher, and other graphics-intensive programs.
- Note your current GPU driver version so you can explain the change if the result is worse.
- Use the GPU vendor’s documented shader-cache controls or cache-folder instructions for your installed driver. Select only shader-cache data; do not delete unrelated game saves or configuration files.
- Restart Windows and launch the game. The first run can take longer while shaders are created again.
- Repeat the same action that previously triggered the crash. If the crash remains, record the result instead of clearing the cache repeatedly.
Because the available guidance does not establish one universal folder path for every driver release, avoid deleting arbitrary directories. If you cannot identify the vendor cache safely, provide the driver version and crash details to MY.GAMES support rather than guessing.
Use GPU Debug Mode only as a diagnostic aid
MY.GAMES notes that GPU Debug Mode can provide useful crash data but may affect performance. Treat it as a temporary diagnostic setting: enable it only when support or the technical instructions ask for a reproduction, capture the requested evidence, then disable it for normal play. A lower frame rate while debug mode is active is expected and is not evidence that the underlying game performance has permanently changed.
Stop crashes and launch failures
When the game crashes to desktop
- Write down exactly when the crash occurs: immediately at launch, while loading the hangar, after entering a match, or after a repeatable menu action.
- Restart Windows and test once without changing multiple settings.
- Confirm the GPU driver is current for the installed hardware.
- Clear the appropriate vendor shader cache using the cautious process above if the crash is graphics-related or began after a driver or game update.
- Check whether the PC meets the published baseline and whether the crash occurs on every attempt or only occasionally.
- If it continues, stop repeated reinstalls and prepare a support report with the evidence listed in the support section.
When the client will not open
A failure before the main menu is different from a disconnect after a match has loaded. First restart Windows and confirm that the launcher or game process is not still running in Task Manager. Then retry once after the driver check. If the application opens only after a reboot, record that pattern; it helps distinguish a transient local process problem from a reproducible launch defect.

Do not report “it crashes” without the point of failure. “Closes immediately after pressing Play,” “hangar never finishes loading,” and “desktop crash when a match starts” describe different reproduction paths and allow support to request the right files.

When the hangar or match remains frozen
If menus respond but players freeze, or the game displays a connection warning, test the network branch before changing graphics. If the same hangar failure occurs on Ethernet, 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and another network, include that comparison in your report. It shows that you tested the most likely local connection causes without claiming that the service itself is responsible.

When both network and rendering symptoms are plausible, compare the competing explanations with the smallest useful test.

Keep the test conditions stable: same account, same platform, same game mode when possible, and no simultaneous driver, router, and graphics changes. This is the fastest way to turn “sometimes laggy” into evidence that can be acted on.

If launch or connection troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, send a complete report rather than a one-line description. MY.GAMES requests different details for launch failures and bug reports, so include all applicable items.
Launch-failure checklist
- Account ID
- Platform
- A detailed description of what happens
- When the issue began
- Screenshots or a recording, if possible
Bug-report checklist
- What happened and the exact reproduction steps
- How often it happens
- Date and time, including your time zone
- Game ID when emailing
- PC specifications
- Operating system
- Whether an emulator is involved
Make the evidence usable
- Describe one problem per report and give it a specific subject, such as “Crash when entering a match after driver update.”
- List the last known working time and the first time you noticed the failure.
- Include the controlled comparisons: Ethernet versus Wi-Fi, 2.4 GHz versus 5 GHz, another network, and whether the PC meets the published requirements.
- State every change already tested, including the GPU driver version and whether the shader cache was cleared.
- Attach screenshots or a short recording that shows the error, freeze, or crash sequence without exposing passwords or unrelated personal information.
Support cannot infer a time zone from a screenshot clock, and “random” is less useful than a frequency such as “three of five launches” or “once every two matches.” Give the account and game identifiers exactly as displayed in your client so the case can be matched to the correct platform.
Common mistakes that waste troubleshooting time
- Changing everything at once: If you restart the router, change Wi-Fi bands, update the driver, and clear the cache together, you cannot tell which action mattered.
- Calling every pause “internet lag”: A low frame rate or shader hitch can look like a network freeze. Check whether the whole game slows visually or only remote players stop responding.
- Running debug mode permanently: GPU Debug Mode is for collecting diagnostic information and may reduce performance.
- Deleting unknown folders: Cache cleanup should target the vendor’s shader data only. Do not remove saves or unrelated configuration files.
- Using another network as proof of a service outage: A different result proves only that the local path changed; it does not identify the remote cause.
- Sending an incomplete support ticket: Without account or game ID, platform, timing, reproduction steps, specifications, and evidence, support has fewer ways to isolate the fault.
When you have enough evidence to stop testing
Stop the network branch when the same symptom persists across the original Wi-Fi, both bands, Ethernet, and another network. Stop the graphics branch when the PC meets the published requirements, the driver is current, the relevant shader cache has been cleared safely, and the same crash remains reproducible. At that point, additional random setting changes are unlikely to add information; send the documented case to MY.GAMES.
Conversely, if one controlled change consistently improves the symptom, keep that change and report the comparison if the issue returns. A stable connection path, a corrected driver state, or a rebuilt shader cache is useful practical evidence even when it does not prove a single underlying defect.
