When a Type Soul reroll or progression step fails, do not immediately spend another item or repeat the whole task. First identify which operation failed, note your race and grade, and copy the exact message shown in game. Most apparent bugs are either a missing requirement, an outdated item name or guide, a grade-gated code screen, or a repeatable game fault.
The safest sequence is to verify the live requirement, confirm that the item affects the property you want, check the current Type Soul V2 information, and only then retry. If the same failure can be reproduced after those checks, report it with precise evidence rather than guessing at a fix.
Start by classifying what failed
“Reroll not working” can describe several unrelated systems. A reroll item may be consumed but produce an unexpected result; a progression fight may refuse to start; a code may be rejected before granting a reward; or the game may show no response at all. Use the operation, not the informal wording, to choose your first check.

1. Record the exact operation, race, and state
Before changing anything, write down the character race, grade, current progression stage, the item name exactly as it appears in the inventory, and the target result. Include whether the target is an element, weapon, clan, appearance, or transformation. Also note where the action occurs: a menu, an NPC, a fight entrance, a code panel, or another interaction.

This short record prevents a common diagnostic error: treating different systems as one “reroll.” The item that changes one property may be unavailable for another race or state, and a progression gate can be independent of the item in your inventory. If the game displays an error, copy every word and punctuation mark. A partial paraphrase can hide the condition that must be met.
Separate rerolls from progression
A reroll changes a character property through an item or menu. Progression is a sequence of eligibility checks, encounters, and rewards. A character can be eligible for a reroll while still being blocked from a Shikai fight, or can meet a fight requirement while holding an item that does not affect the desired property. Test these as separate cases and keep separate notes.
Separate code redemption from both systems
Codes are an account-reward channel with their own interface and eligibility gate. A code failure does not prove that your reroll item is broken, and a successful reroll does not make an unqualified code redeemable. Diagnose the code screen on its own.
2. Treat the in-game requirement message as the primary clue
A Type Soul update log reports that missing requirements for Shikai fights are now displayed. When a fight or interaction refuses to start, read the full message instead of relying on a remembered checklist. Record the requirement, then complete that condition before trying again.
Follow the route for the correct race
Race-specific progression can use different encounters or prerequisites. Current public material does not establish a dependable, exhaustive threshold list for every race and every stage, so an old universal checklist is not a safe authority. Use the route shown by the live game and compare it with the current Type Soul V2 board. If the board and the game disagree, the in-game prompt is the condition being enforced at that moment.

Do not infer a bug from a missing button
A disabled interaction, absent fight prompt, or unchanged objective can be the normal result of an unmet condition. Capture the exact text and check whether it identifies a grade, an earlier task, a location, or another state requirement. Only classify it as a probable glitch after the displayed condition is satisfied and the same sequence still fails.
3. Use the current Type Soul information, not an archived board
A guide updated May 11, 2026 identifies the Type Soul Trello V2 board, with board ID B8cRro0r, as the current board and describes the V1 board as deprecated. Use the V2 destination and the game’s official Discord information when checking routes, item names, or update announcements. Verify that a page still points to the official game before following instructions, because community links and requirements can change.

When a board entry lacks a race, grade, or version qualifier, treat it as incomplete rather than filling in the missing detail from memory.
4. Confirm the reroll item and its current name
The update log reports that Shikai, Res, and Volt Rerolls were changed to the name “Element Rerolls.” A guide that tells you to search for an older item name may therefore send you to the wrong inventory entry. Search for the current name first, then open its description and confirm what it rerolls.
Check the item before consuming it
- Open the inventory and copy the item’s exact current name.
- Read the description for the affected property and any race or state restriction.
- Compare that property with the result you want.
- Confirm that the character is in the state for which the item is intended.
- Only activate it after the target and eligibility match.
Do not assume that a successful activation guarantees a particular element, weapon, or transformation. A reroll normally selects from the item’s own result pool; the important troubleshooting question is whether the correct field changed, not whether it produced a preferred result.

Distinguish a naming problem from a consumption problem
If the old label is missing but an Element Rerolls item is present, that is consistent with the reported rename rather than evidence of lost inventory. If the item disappears without the intended field changing, stop testing with additional items. Record the item count before and after, the exact result, and the server interaction in which it occurred. That information is more useful than repeating the action blindly.

Shikai fights
For a Shikai fight, use the displayed missing-requirement text as the decision point. Complete the named condition, return to the same interaction, and compare the new message with the old one. If the wording changes, the system is acknowledging progress; if it remains identical despite the condition being met, preserve both screenshots or transcripts for a bug report.
Player-grip progression
A community-maintained Type Soul update log dated May 6, 2026 lists “Fixed player grips progression only working on Elite Grades.” This confirms that a progression defect was recorded and that an update claimed to address it. It does not establish that every current progression failure has that cause, nor does it prove that all progression is bug-free. Use the entry as context while diagnosing your own reproducible sequence.
Do not substitute one progression stage for another
Progression stages can share terminology while enforcing different checks. State the exact stage and interaction in your notes. “Progression stuck” is not specific enough for another player or a support team to reproduce; “the player-grip objective remains incomplete after the required interaction, while the same missing message appears at the next check” is actionable.
6. Handle code redemption as a separate, grade-gated issue
Secondary guides disagree slightly about the minimum grade for code redemption. One 2026 guide says at least Semi-Grade 2 and describes opening the gift-box icon; another says Grade 2. Because those labels conflict and game gates can change, follow the grade shown by the live code interface or its current prompt rather than treating either guide as universal.

Use the gift-box path carefully
- Reach the grade the live game identifies as eligible.
- Open the gift-box icon in the upper-left menu, if that icon is present for your account.
- Enter the code exactly as issued, preserving capitalization and punctuation.
- Read the response message and record whether it says invalid, expired, already redeemed, or not eligible.
A page labeled June 2026 is not confirmation that any listed code remains active on October 16, 2026. Do not publish or rely on an old active-code list as a fix for a progression problem. If the gate itself rejects you, resolve the grade requirement first; if an eligible account receives an invalid or expired response, treat that as a code-validity issue rather than a reroll fault.
7. Follow a controlled retry procedure
Once you have classified the operation and read the requirement, use this sequence. It is designed to prevent spending items while the cause is unknown.
- Freeze further attempts. Do not consume another reroll or restart a long progression route while you are still identifying the failure.
- Capture the baseline. Record race, grade, stage, item name, target property, location, and the exact on-screen message.
- Check the live gate. Complete the requirement named by the game, using the race-specific route rather than a generic checklist.
- Check the current terminology. Look for Element Rerolls where an older guide says Shikai, Res, or Volt Rerolls.
- Verify the item’s purpose. Read its description and ensure it applies to the property and state you recorded.
- Test one variable. Retry the same interaction without changing race, grade, item category, or route at the same time.
- Compare the result. Note whether the message changed, the field changed, the item was consumed, or nothing happened.
- Stop after a repeatable failure. If the identical sequence fails again with requirements visibly met, preserve the evidence instead of spending more items.
- Check current announcements. Compare the symptom with recent Type Soul information on the current V2 board or official Discord destination.
- Escalate with the complete record. Send the reproducible details through the appropriate Roblox or Type Soul channel.
8. Recognize the difference between an unmet condition and a glitch
An unmet condition usually produces a meaningful requirement message, changes after the condition is completed, or disappears when the correct race, grade, item, or stage is used. A likely glitch is narrower: the requirement is satisfied, the correct item is confirmed, and the same action produces the same incorrect result in repeated attempts.
Do not call a different result a glitch merely because it is undesirable. A reroll that selects an unwanted value may be functioning normally if the item’s pool includes that value. The stronger signal is a mismatch between the documented field and the field that actually changes, or a resource being consumed without any state change.

Roblox Support asks users to provide detailed information, including: What exactly does the glitch do? When did it start happening? Does it happen in one place or in all places?, etc.
Include those details in your report, along with the Type Soul-specific context.

What to include
- Your Roblox display name or other identifier requested by the support form; do not post private credentials.
- Character race, grade, progression stage, and the exact item name.
- The intended result and the result that actually occurred.
- The full error or requirement text, copied verbatim.
- The date and approximate time the problem began.
- Whether it occurs in one location, one interaction, one server, or across every place you tested.
- The smallest repeatable sequence that causes the fault.
- Any relevant update-log context, such as the reported Element Rerolls rename or player-grip progression fix, without claiming that it proves your cause.
Where to send it
The official route described by Roblox is the DevForum or Roblox’s contact form with Bug Report selected. For a Type Soul announcement or game-specific change, use the current official Discord or V2 Trello destination after verifying that it is still official. Avoid sending the same incomplete report repeatedly; add new evidence to the existing report when possible.
10. Common mistakes and the corrective action

11. What the dated update evidence can and cannot prove
The May 6, 2026 update-log entry about player-grip progression and the entry about displaying missing Shikai requirements are dated community-maintained claims. They are useful for interpreting terminology and checking whether your symptom resembles a known change, but they are not a guarantee that your account is fixed or that every current failure shares the same cause.
The May 11, 2026 guide’s identification of the V2 board and deprecation of V1 is likewise a dated navigation aid. Board ownership, links, and instructions can change. Confirm the destination before entering credentials or relying on a route.

No verified first-party developer statement establishes one universal fix for every failed Type Soul reroll or progression action. That is why the troubleshooting method begins with the live requirement and ends with a reproducible report instead of promising a single reset, code, or item.
When to stop troubleshooting locally
Stop local retries when all three conditions are true: the game’s requirement message has been satisfied, the item and current name match the desired property, and the same failure repeats without a state change. At that point, further rerolls or repeated progression attempts add risk but little information. Submit the documented sequence through Roblox’s bug-report route and monitor current Type Soul announcements for a matching update.
