If Titanium Court crashes, stutters, refuses to launch, or shows a Steam connection error, work through the checks in this order: confirm your Windows or macOS system meets the Steam requirements, restart Steam and the computer, verify the installation, update the operating system and drivers, close competing applications, reduce graphics load, test security software, and then isolate the network. The order moves from quick, low-risk fixes to tests that identify a specific cause.
What kind of problem are you seeing?
Titanium Court is a single-player strategy game by AP Thomson, published by Fellow Traveller. It launched on Steam for Windows and macOS on April 23, 2026. The Steam listing does not document an online multiplayer mode, so a “connection error” is more likely to involve Steam authentication, downloading, updating, or launcher services than an in-game multiplayer server.
“Lag” is also ambiguous. A low frame rate or visible stutter is a local performance problem; high network latency is a connection problem. Steam defines network lag as high latency interfering with gameplay. Use the symptom table to choose the right branch before changing settings.

1. Check the supported platform and requirements
Open the Titanium Court page in the Steam store and compare its listed Windows or macOS requirements with your computer. Confirm that you are running one of those supported desktop platforms and that your processor, graphics hardware, memory, operating-system version, and available storage satisfy the listing.

Meeting a minimum requirement is a compatibility baseline, not a promise of a particular frame rate. A system can launch the game and still need lower resolution or less demanding video settings to maintain smooth performance. Also leave working space on the drive: a nearly full system or game drive can make updates and temporary files fail.
- Check the exact operating-system edition and version, not just “Windows” or “macOS.”
- Identify the active GPU, especially on a laptop with integrated and discrete graphics.
- Make sure the drive has room for the installed game, updates, and temporary files.
- If the computer is below the published requirements, treat later performance changes as best-effort rather than guaranteed.
2. Restart Steam and your computer
Exit Steam completely, reopen it, and restart the computer before making deeper changes. Steam notes that a restart can clear temporary system states, caches, locked files, and other conditions that survive while an application remains open.
- In Steam, choose Steam in the upper-left menu and select Exit.
- Wait for Steam to disappear from the taskbar, menu bar, and background processes.
- Restart Windows or macOS.
- Open Steam, wait for it to finish signing in and updating, then start Titanium Court again.
If the game works after the restart but fails again after sleep, hibernation, or a long session, note that pattern. It points toward a temporary state or resource conflict rather than proving that the game installation is permanently damaged.

3. Verify the game files
A failed update, interrupted download, or damaged local file can cause a crash or launch failure. Steam’s standard integrity check compares the installed files with the expected versions and reacquires files it identifies as missing or corrupted. This is a general Steam remedy, not a published Titanium Court-specific instruction.
- Open Steam and select Library.
- Right-click Titanium Court and choose Properties.
- Open Installed Files.
- Select Verify integrity of game files.
- Wait for the process to finish, allow any replacement download to complete, then relaunch the game.
Do not interrupt the verification or shut down while Steam is replacing files. If the check reports a problem repeatedly, record the message and check available storage and drive health before repeating it indefinitely.
4. Update the operating system and hardware drivers
Install pending Windows or macOS updates, then update the drivers for your CPU platform, GPU, and audio hardware from the computer or hardware manufacturer. Steam identifies outdated drivers as a possible cause of reduced FPS and client problems.

Windows
- Open Settings > Windows Update, install available updates, and restart when requested.
- Use the GPU manufacturer’s supported update method for the graphics driver.
- Check the computer or motherboard manufacturer for chipset and audio-driver updates when those are not supplied through Windows Update.
macOS
- Open System Settings > General > Software Update.
- Install the available macOS update and restart.
- For Apple hardware, graphics and core audio support normally arrive with macOS; install the latest compatible system update rather than using an unrelated driver package.
Change one category at a time when possible. If a new driver introduces a problem, the version number and installation date in your notes will help the hardware manufacturer or game developer investigate it. No particular driver version is documented as a guaranteed fix for this game.

Browsers with many tabs, recording software, overlays, download clients, cloud synchronization, and other processes can consume CPU time, GPU capacity, memory, disk bandwidth, or network bandwidth. Steam identifies background applications and insufficient memory as causes of reduced FPS and apparent lag.
- Save work and close unnecessary browsers, video players, file synchronizers, launchers, downloaders, and recording tools.
- Temporarily disable nonessential in-game overlays and monitoring layers one at a time.
- Pause large downloads and cloud uploads.
- Check available RAM and storage; close applications or free space if either is critically low.
- Launch Titanium Court again and compare the result with the same save and scene.
Do not assume that an overlay is the cause simply because disabling it helped once. Repeat the same action after a clean restart to confirm the relationship, then re-enable tools individually so you know which one conflicts.

6. Lower the graphics workload for FPS drops and stutter
If the game launches but runs slowly, first reduce the display resolution and the most demanding video options in its graphics or video settings. Steam notes that higher resolution and video settings can immediately reduce FPS when hardware cannot sustain them.
A practical test sequence
- Record the current resolution and quality settings so you can restore them.
- Lower resolution one step and test the same area of the game.
- If the result improves, lower demanding quality options individually rather than moving every setting at once.
- Close and relaunch if the game requires a restart for a display change.
- Keep the setting that delivers stable play on your hardware; a lower, consistent frame rate is preferable to repeated spikes and stutter.
These changes reduce rendering demand; they do not repair a damaged installation or a network problem. If lowering resolution has no effect, return to the background-process, driver, memory, and storage checks instead of continuing to reduce image quality.
7. Test antivirus, firewall, VPN, and system-cleaner interference
Security software can block a game executable, Steam authentication, an update, or a network request. Steam identifies antivirus and firewall interference as possible causes of launch and connection failures. Ad blockers, VPNs, and system-cleaner utilities can also alter traffic or remove files Steam expects.

- Update the security application first; an old definition or client can create false positives.
- For a short, controlled test, pause the relevant protection or disconnect the VPN and try the launch or connection again.
- Restore protection immediately after the test.
- If the test identifies interference, create a narrow exception for the Steam client or the specific game executable using the security product’s documented controls.
- Do not leave antivirus or firewall protection disabled, and do not create a broad “allow everything” rule.
A successful test shows that a rule is involved; it does not prove which file or port should be permanently allowed. If you cannot identify a narrow exception safely, ask the security-product vendor or the game developer for the correct rule.
8. Fix Steam connection errors and network-related lag
Because Titanium Court is listed as single-player, first determine which Steam operation is failing: signing in, downloading, updating, starting the game, or accessing another Steam service. Then isolate your local network before assuming an in-game server is unavailable.
Check Steam and restart the local connection
- Check Steam’s service status using a current, reputable status source.
- Exit and reopen Steam.
- Power-cycle the modem and router according to their manufacturer’s instructions, then wait for the connection to return.
- Retry the same Steam action and note the exact error text.
Separate Wi-Fi problems from wider outages
- Use Ethernet directly to the router if your computer and network support it.
- Stop video streaming, large downloads, cloud synchronization, and other bandwidth-heavy activity.
- If possible, connect through another network, such as a trusted mobile hotspot, for one controlled test.
- Compare the result with your normal Wi-Fi connection.
If Ethernet works while Wi-Fi fails, focus on signal quality, interference, router configuration, or the wireless adapter. If both local connections fail but another network works, contact your ISP or inspect router and DNS settings. If every network fails while Steam services are experiencing an outage, wait for the platform issue to clear. These tests distinguish local conditions from Steam or ISP problems; they do not establish a particular latency threshold for this game.

9. Collect evidence before escalating
When the general steps do not solve the problem, send the developer a reproducible description through the game’s Steam support link. Steam directs players to third-party support for game-specific problems.
Include:
- The exact error text, copied rather than paraphrased.
- The date and time, including your time zone.
- Windows or macOS version and whether the system is a laptop or desktop.
- CPU, GPU, memory amount, free storage, and driver versions.
- Whether the failure occurs before the menu, during loading, or after play begins.
- Whether the game works offline.
- Whether file verification, a restart, lower graphics settings, or closed background applications changed anything.
- Whether Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or another network produces a different result.
Attach crash logs or screenshots only through the support channel’s requested method. Avoid posting account credentials, authentication codes, full network passwords, or unrelated personal files.
What is currently not established
There is no published official crash-rate report, FPS benchmark, latency threshold, developer-authored crash database, patch-specific troubleshooting article, or current known-issues list identified for Titanium Court. No particular launch option, configuration-file edit, driver version, or hardware change can therefore be presented as a guaranteed game-specific fix. Use the diagnostic steps above to identify the failing layer and report repeatable evidence rather than applying unsupported registry edits or downloading unofficial replacement files.
