PlayStation lists restarting and checking system software among its general launch-issue checks. Those checks are sensible first steps, but they do not establish that an update or restart will cure a Planet Zoo 2 frame-rate problem.
2. Perform a normal full restart
Press the PS button, select the power icon, and choose Turn Off PS5. Wait until the console has shut down fully, then start it again and test the same zoo and camera movement. Do not judge the result from a different save or a different scene; reproduce the original condition so the comparison is meaningful.
3. Check storage location
If Planet Zoo 2 is installed on USB extended storage and you also have room on the internal SSD, move the game to console storage and test again. Use the full power-off cache procedure when crashes or launch trouble accompany the stutter

Rebuild the software installation only when the symptoms justify it
Restore licenses
PlayStation lists restoring licenses among its general checks for games that will not start. On PS5, open Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses, select Restore, and then test the game again. This addresses entitlement and launch checks; it is not a published FPS adjustment.
