Close unrelated applications temporarily and retest so that you can tell whether system load changes the symptom. Change one setting at a time if you test in-game graphics options, and note the original value. This makes it possible to undo a change and to tell whether it had any effect. Run a controlled retest
- Write down the failure pattern. Record whether the game closes at launch, after a particular action, after a period of play, or unpredictably. Include any on-screen error text.
