If a Jurassic World Evolution 2 add-on is missing on your PS5, the purchase is usually still valid. The common causes are the wrong PSN account, an unrefreshed license, an incomplete add-on download, a disc-and-account region mismatch, or stale console cache. Work through those checks in order: verify the transaction, restore licenses, inspect Manage Game Content, confirm regions, power-cycle the console, and reinstall only as a last resort.
First, identify what “missing DLC” means
PS5 can show that you own an add-on even when Jurassic World Evolution 2 does not show its animals, skins, signs, or other content. Treat these as separate states:
- Purchase missing: The transaction is not in the currently signed-in PSN account’s history. This is an account or purchase problem, not an installation problem.
- Purchase present, download missing: The transaction exists, but the add-on is absent or incomplete in the game’s download controls. This usually needs a license refresh or redownload.
- Add-on installed, content not visible: Some entitlements do not appear as a large, separately listed download. The content may be available only through the game’s own downloadable-content or content-selection screen after the license is refreshed.
- Content works on one account but not another: Test the account that completed the purchase first. Console sharing does not change which account owns the entitlement.
- Physical game and digital DLC do not work together: Check the country or region of the disc against the PSN account and the store purchase before reinstalling anything.
Knowing which state you have prevents destructive steps that cannot solve an entitlement mismatch.

Do not delete saved data while troubleshooting. The application can be removed and reinstalled separately from save files, but confirm that your saves are backed up or synchronized according to your normal PS5 setup before any reinstall. Also gather the transaction ID, the purchasing PSN account, your game edition, and—if you use a disc—the country or region printed on its case or disc. These details are needed if PlayStation or Frontier must correct an entitlement.

Keep the PS5 connected to the internet during license and download checks. If several people use the console, sign out of unrelated accounts and begin with the account that paid for the add-on. A store page saying “purchased” on a different account does not prove that the account currently running the game owns it.
1. Verify the transaction and the purchasing account
- Sign in on the PS5 with the PSN account that bought the Jurassic World Evolution 2 add-on.
- Open that account’s PSN transaction history and confirm that the DLC purchase completed rather than remaining pending, cancelled, or attached to another account.
- Check the game tile’s download controls and the game’s Manage Game Content area for the add-on.
- Start Jurassic World Evolution 2 with the purchasing account and check its in-game DLC or content screen.
If the transaction is absent, do not reinstall the game. First determine which PSN account completed the purchase and use that account on the console. If the transaction is present but no download option appears, continue with license restoration.
2. Restore PS5 licenses
Restoring licenses makes the console recheck the digital rights attached to the signed-in account. PlayStation Support recommends this when a user cannot locate a game or add-on, and states: “Please note, restoring licenses won’t affect your data.”

- Select Users and Accounts.
- Choose Other.
- Select Restore Licenses.
- Choose Restore and wait for the process to finish.
- Restart Jurassic World Evolution 2 and check the game’s DLC or content screen again.
Restore licenses while signed in to the purchasing account. If you restored them on a secondary account, repeat the check with the account shown in the transaction history. A license refresh does not download every add-on automatically; it corrects the entitlement state so the download controls can recognize what you own.
3. Inspect Manage Game Content and redownload the add-on
After the license refresh, use the PS5’s controls for the installed game rather than relying only on the store page.
- Highlight Jurassic World Evolution 2 on the Home screen or in Game Library.
- Press the controller’s Options button.
- Open Manage Game Content or the available download controls.
- Look for the purchased add-on and check whether it is installed, queued, paused, or incomplete.
- If an incomplete add-on entry is listed, remove that add-on entry—not your saved data—and download it again.
- Wait for the download and installation to finish, then launch the game and open its DLC or content screen.
An entitlement-based DLC item may be small or may not appear as a conspicuous separate download. In that case, the decisive test is whether the corresponding content appears inside Jurassic World Evolution 2 after the license refresh, not whether a large new application icon appears on the Home screen.

4. Check physical-disc and PSN region compatibility
Region mismatches are a frequent reason for a purchase that looks valid but does not activate in a physical copy. Compare all three parts:

For example, a disc purchased in one country combined with DLC purchased through a different country’s PSN store can leave the add-on owned in the transaction history but unusable by that disc. PlayStation’s add-on guidance says the disc and account region must match. Verify this before deleting the application or buying the DLC again; a reinstall cannot convert one region’s disc into another region’s edition.
Digital-only owners do not have a physical disc region to compare, but they still need to use the PSN account that made the purchase. Do not create a second account in an attempt to bypass a region mismatch: purchases remain tied to the original account and store.
5. Power-cycle the PS5 to clear stale cache data
If the account, license, and region checks are correct but the game still does not recognize the add-on, perform a complete power cycle. Frontier’s console guidance says: “Turn off your PlayStation, do not enter rest mode.”
- Save and close Jurassic World Evolution 2.
- Turn off the PS5 completely. Do not select Rest Mode.
- Wait until the indicator light has stopped blinking and the console is completely off.
- Unplug the PS5’s power cord.
- Wait 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and start the PS5 normally.
- Sign in to the purchasing account, launch the game, and check the DLC screen.
This clears temporary console state without removing installed games or saved data. A rest-mode wake-up is not the same operation, so repeat the full shutdown if you previously left the console in Rest Mode.

6. Consider where the game is installed
The diagnosis can differ between the PS5’s internal SSD and an attached expansion drive. If the game or its add-on is installed on expansion storage and the content remains unavailable after the preceding checks, test the installation on the internal SSD using the PS5 storage controls. Confirm that the game and its add-on finish copying before launching it again.

Do not treat a storage move as an account fix. It can resolve an incomplete or inconsistent installation, but it cannot repair a purchase made on the wrong account or a disc-and-store region mismatch. Check the transaction and license first, then use storage troubleshooting only when those checks pass.
Digital versus physical copies: use the right diagnostic

This comparison helps you choose a targeted action. Account discrepancies call for the purchasing account and transaction history. License discrepancies call for Restore Licenses. A listed but incomplete item calls for a fresh add-on download. A physical-copy discrepancy calls for region verification. Storage testing is useful only after those entitlement checks succeed.
7. Reinstall Jurassic World Evolution 2 only after the checks above
Reinstalling is a last resort because it takes time and does not correct ownership or region problems. Use it when the purchase is confirmed, the correct account is active, the regions match, licenses have been restored, the add-on has been redownloaded, and a full power cycle has not helped.

- Remove the Jurassic World Evolution 2 application from the PS5. Do not choose an option that deletes saved data.
- Reinstall the game from the PS5 Library or the appropriate disc.
- Allow the base game to finish installing and updating before checking the add-on.
- Open Manage Game Content and download the DLC again if it is listed.
- Launch the game with the purchasing PSN account and verify the content in the in-game DLC or content screen.
If a physical copy is involved, keep the disc inserted when the game starts. Reinstalling the application from a disc with a different region than the original purchase will not make an incompatible DLC entitlement work.
What not to do while troubleshooting
- Do not delete saved data when you only need to remove an application or an incomplete add-on entry.
- Do not buy the DLC a second time until the original transaction, account, and region have been checked.
- Do not assume a different household account can use the purchasing account’s entitlement simply because both accounts are on the same PS5.
- Do not use Rest Mode as a substitute for the complete shutdown and 30-second unplugged power cycle.
- Do not expect a license restore to download every item automatically; always inspect Manage Game Content and the in-game content screen afterward.
- Do not purchase replacement hardware for this symptom. The supported remedies are account, license, installation, region, cache, and support checks.

What the Deluxe Edition Content includes
Owners of the Standard Edition can purchase the Deluxe Edition Content pack through their platform store. It is a digital entitlement; a separate physical product is not required. Frontier lists these extras:
- Six amenity guest-building signs.
- Three Dinosaur Protection Group vehicle skins.
- Five additional prehistoric animals: Huayangosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, Megalosaurus, Geosternbergia, and Attenborosaurus.
If you bought this pack and none of these additions appears, apply the account, license, download, region, and cache sequence above. Do not assume that the absence of a separate download icon means the purchase failed; verify the content screen in the game after the entitlement has been refreshed.

When and how to contact support
Contact PlayStation Support when the transaction is present on the correct account but the PS5 will not download or recognize the add-on. Contact Frontier Support when the platform entitlement is valid and installed but Jurassic World Evolution 2 still does not expose the content in-game. Escalating with a complete record avoids repeating the same basic checks.
Include:
- The PSN transaction ID and the account that made the purchase.
- The exact Jurassic World Evolution 2 edition and whether the game is digital or physical.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will restoring licenses delete my Jurassic World Evolution 2 saves?

Why does the PlayStation Store say I own the DLC, but the game does not show it?

Should I reinstall the game as soon as the DLC is missing?
No. First verify the transaction and account, restore licenses, inspect and redownload the add-on, check physical-disc regions, and complete the 30-second unplugged power cycle. Reinstall only after those checks pass, with saves backed up or synchronized.
What if the DLC is installed but still missing in the game?
