If a Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves DLC character is missing, first confirm that your edition or pass includes that fighter and that the character has been released for your platform. Then check the purchase and add-on installation on the same platform account as your game, update the game, and restart it. If the character is still locked despite a valid entitlement, contact platform support and SNK.
1. Check whether your edition or pass includes the character
The base game does not automatically include paid DLC. SNK lists Standard Edition as the game only; its product page lists Revenge Edition with Seasons 1–3 and Legend Edition with Seasons 1–2. Confirm the exact edition you bought rather than relying on the game’s title or packaging alone. SNK’s product page lists the edition contents and pass rosters.

If the fighter is not part of the edition or pass you own, check the storefront’s individual character listing. SNK’s version 3.0.0 notes say Seasons 1 and 2 characters can be purchased individually; timing and availability for individual Season 3 characters may differ. Check the current listing rather than assuming a character is sold separately. SNK’s version 3.0.0 notes address individual-purchase availability.

A character included in a pass may still be scheduled for a later release. The current SNK product listing marks Rick Strowd, Duck King, and Kim Kaphwan as available in Season 3. It lists Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji for October 2026, Laocorn for November, and a mystery character for December. SNK’s Season 3 announcement gives the earlier schedule: Rick Strowd in July, Duck King in August, Kim Kaphwan in September, then a mystery character in October, Laocorn in November, and another mystery character in December. The later product listing identifies the October additions by name, so check the latest SNK listing and your storefront for changes. SNK’s product page and SNK’s announcement and update notes provide the schedule.

3. Check the account, purchase, and installed add-on
Use the same platform account and region for the DLC and the installed game. Open your platform’s add-on or download management area and check whether the relevant pass or character is shown as owned and installed. Storefront labels and menu paths vary by platform, so use the platform’s own library or account purchase history if you cannot find an add-on manager.
- If the store says you do not own it: Check the account, region, edition, and order history before buying anything again. The DLC may have been purchased on a different account, or it may not be included in your edition.
- If the store says you own it but it is not installed: Use the platform’s add-on management controls to download or install it, then launch the game again.
- If the store says it is owned and installed: Continue with the game update and restart checks below.
These are general account and platform checks; SNK’s published materials do not provide one universal entitlement-recovery procedure for every platform.

4. Update and restart the game
- Use your platform’s update check to install any available Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves update.
- Close the game fully, rather than leaving it suspended or running in the background.
- Launch it again and check the character select screen.
SNK’s version 3.0.0 notes do not identify a general fix for DLC characters failing to appear, so updating and relaunching are sensible troubleshooting checks—not a confirmed fix for this specific symptom.

5. Decide what to do based on what you find

6. Contact support if the entitlement is valid but the character stays locked
Start with the platform’s support team if the purchase is missing from your account or the add-on will not install. Contact SNK as well if the storefront confirms ownership and installation but the character remains unavailable in-game. Include the platform, account region, edition or pass name, character name, order receipt, and a screenshot of the locked character. Those details help support distinguish a release or purchase mismatch from an installation or account problem.
A physical copy of the Standard Edition supplies the base game only; buying it does not add a missing DLC entitlement. It is relevant only if you do not own the base game. SNK’s edition listing describes what Standard Edition includes.
