If a Disney Dreamlight Valley event puzzle won’t register, first identify the exact quest or duty and check whether Gameloft lists that specific issue as active or fixed. “Solution not registering” can describe several different problems—such as a placement step, a Star Path duty, or quest progress freezing—and each may need a different response. Be precise about the point at which progress stopped. Did the game fail to acknowledge the action itself, such as collecting the items named in a duty? Did it acknowledge the action but leave a later quest step incomplete? Or did the activity appear complete while the event menu or reward claim remained stuck? Those are different symptoms. A useful description is “the named duty still shows no progress after I collected these mushrooms,” rather than “the event puzzle is broken.” The former gives you a phrase to look up and a clear report to send if you need help.
Write down the objective exactly as it appears rather than relying on a remembered summary. Include the quest or event name and, if there is a named character, item, or area, include that too. For a placement task, note both what you placed and where. For a collection task, note the items the duty names and what you collected. This is not busywork: Gameloft’s issue reports distinguish among particular quests, items, event duties, menus, and reward steps. A similar-looking symptom does not prove the same underlying problem.
Then identify your platform and installed game version. These details let you compare your situation with the relevant update notes and avoid applying an older workaround to a newer build. If you do not know the version, check the game’s version information on your platform before contacting support. The sources cited below do not provide a universal platform-by-platform menu path for finding it, so use the information available in your game or platform interface rather than guessing.
Check whether Gameloft has already identified the issue
Search Gameloft’s official known-issues pages and update notes for the exact quest, event, character, item, or duty. Compare the status of that entry with the update installed on your device. Known-issues pages can change, and an old workaround may no longer be relevant after a fix.

Use the official known-issues page and patch notes together. A live known-issues entry can indicate whether Gameloft is still tracking a problem; update notes can say that a particular issue was fixed in a specific release. Neither is a substitute for the other. If a report is listed as fixed, check whether your installed version includes the update that contains the fix. If it is still listed as active, follow only any workaround attached to that same issue and check for status changes. If you cannot find an exact match, do not assume that the nearest-sounding report applies.

If your objective matches that description, re-entering the Trial area is the documented action to try. Gameloft’s wording also makes clear that the expected progression may not happen automatically after the load. If you encounter that exact situation, do not interpret the missing automatic progress as proof that the furniture solution is wrong before trying the specified re-entry. Conversely, do not move furniture or repeat steps in an unrelated quest on the assumption that the same workaround applies everywhere. Placement puzzles
Verify the exact item and location requested by the named objective before moving furniture or repeating the task. For a placement objective, separate two questions: did you use the item the objective asks for, and did you put it in the requested location? Check the quest wording rather than relying on a general impression that the item is close enough or fits the scene. Retry after the applicable update
- Check the installed version. Compare it with the update or hotfix that Gameloft says fixed your named issue.
- Install the current game update available for your platform. If the issue is listed as fixed in an update you do not have, update before testing the objective again.
- Return to the exact quest or duty. Repeat or resume only the action the objective requests, then check whether its progress changes.
