Fix the connection by first identifying which wireless function has failed. The Triangle Capella 2 uses Wi‑Fi to connect Stereo Hub 2 to your home network and the internet; Bluetooth connects a phone, tablet, or computer as an audio source. Set up Wi‑Fi in the TRIANGLE CAPELLA app, with location services enabled, and confirm a solid white front LED. For Bluetooth, select the Bluetooth input with the remote, then pair with Stereo Hub 2 from your source device. If Wi‑Fi setup cannot finish, connect the hub to your broadband router with an RJ45 Ethernet cable. A persistent failure should be handled with Triangle’s official reset and reinstallation guide rather than an improvised button sequence.
Identify the connection that is failing
Capella 2 has two separate wireless jobs. Wi‑Fi is the hub’s network connection: it lets the Stereo Hub 2 reach your home network and internet services. Bluetooth is a short-range source connection between the hub and a phone, tablet, or computer. The procedures, controls, and symptoms are different, so using the Wi‑Fi procedure to solve a Bluetooth discovery problem will not help.
| What you are trying to do | Connection | Where setup starts | Successful result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Put Stereo Hub 2 on the home network | Wi‑Fi | TRIANGLE CAPELLA app | The hub’s front LED becomes solid white and the hub is available in the app |
| Play audio from a phone, tablet, or computer | Bluetooth | Capella 2 remote, then the source device’s Bluetooth settings | The source device connects to Stereo Hub 2 and audio can be selected |
| Use a wired network path instead of Wi‑Fi | Ethernet | RJ45 port on Stereo Hub 2 and a broadband router | The hub appears in the TRIANGLE CAPELLA app |
If you cannot tell which connection is at fault, check the exact symptom. A hub that cannot be found during app setup has a network-configuration problem. A phone that cannot find Stereo Hub 2 in its Bluetooth list has a source-pairing problem. Ethernet can replace the hub’s Wi‑Fi path, but it cannot repair Bluetooth discovery.
Recommended Free Tools
Prepare the phone and system before setup
- Use the phone or tablet on which you will install and run the TRIANGLE CAPELLA app.
- Turn on location services on that phone before starting Wi‑Fi setup. The app needs this permission to discover the hub during configuration.
- Keep the Stereo Hub 2 powered and close enough to operate the remote and observe its front LED.
- For Bluetooth, have the phone, tablet, or computer ready to open its system Bluetooth settings. The source device, not the Capella app, completes the final connection.
Do not treat the absence of an immediate connection as proof of a hardware fault. The manufacturer’s documented process depends on app discovery, permissions, source selection, and the hub’s status indicator. Work through those controls in order before escalating.

Connect Capella 2 to Wi‑Fi in the TRIANGLE CAPELLA app
- Enable location services. On the phone used for setup, turn on location services before launching the app. If the operating system asks for permission while the app is running, grant the permission and return to setup.
- Install and open TRIANGLE CAPELLA. Start the app and allow it to search for nearby Capella equipment.
- Select the detected Stereo Hub 2. When the app lists the hub, choose that entry rather than attempting to configure the speakers or remote separately.
- Follow every on-screen instruction. The app supplies the network-connection sequence. Keep the app open while it transfers the network information and completes its checks.
- Allow time for a first-connection update. Triangle notes that an update may occur during the first connection and can make setup take longer. Do not assume the process has failed merely because it pauses while updating.
- Check the front LED. A solid white front LED is the manufacturer’s confirmation that the hub has joined the network.
- Verify the hub in the app. Once the LED is solid white, continue in the app and confirm that Stereo Hub 2 is available for control.
If the app never detects the hub, return to the preparation checklist: location services must be enabled on the setup phone, the app must be installed and running, and the hub must be the device selected when it appears. Avoid jumping to Bluetooth instructions; Bluetooth pairing is a separate operation.
When Wi‑Fi setup stalls or never completes
The app cannot find Stereo Hub 2
- Confirm that location services are enabled on the phone being used for setup.
- Close and relaunch TRIANGLE CAPELLA, then run its discovery process again.
- Watch for a detected entry specifically named Stereo Hub 2 and select it when it appears.
- If the app begins an update, leave the hub powered and allow the update to finish before judging the setup.
The available guidance does not establish a universal cause for every discovery failure. Router configuration, phone operating system behavior, radio interference, and a hardware fault require details that are not determined by the generic setup procedure. Record the phone model and operating-system version, the hub’s LED state, and any exact app error before asking Triangle for help.
The app starts setup but the hub never reaches a network-connected state
Use the front LED as the checkpoint. The target state is solid white. If setup remains incomplete, repeat the app’s on-screen steps once with location services confirmed and allow additional time for a first-connection update. If Wi‑Fi still cannot be completed, use the documented wired alternative below rather than inventing a reset sequence.

Use Ethernet when Wi‑Fi cannot be completed
Stereo Hub 2 has an RJ45 network port. Triangle documents a wired path from that port to a broadband router, after which the hub should be discoverable in the TRIANGLE CAPELLA app.
- Obtain a standard RJ45 Ethernet cable.
- Plug one end into the Stereo Hub 2 network port.
- Plug the other end into an available port on the broadband router.
- Open TRIANGLE CAPELLA and locate Stereo Hub 2 in the app.
- Use the hub through the app once it appears.
This is an alternative for the hub’s network connection, not a Bluetooth remedy. A wired connection can establish network access even when Wi‑Fi setup is unsuccessful, but a phone that cannot see Stereo Hub 2 in a Bluetooth list still needs the Bluetooth pairing procedure.
Pair a phone, tablet, or computer over Bluetooth
- Select the Bluetooth source on the Capella 2. Use the remote’s left and right controls to choose the Bluetooth input. Bluetooth discovery will not proceed correctly if the system is still on another source.
- Open Bluetooth settings on the source device. On the phone, tablet, or computer that will send audio, open its normal Bluetooth device list and start a search.
- Find Stereo Hub 2. Look for the factory name, Stereo Hub 2, or a name previously assigned by the owner. Select that entry to connect.
- Confirm the connection. Wait for the source device to report that it is connected, then start playback from the chosen app.
The product documentation identifies Bluetooth 5.2 support. The visible device label can differ if an owner has renamed the hub, so do not reject a matching device solely because it does not use the factory name.

If Stereo Hub 2 does not appear in the Bluetooth list
Start pairing mode from the app, then search again on the source device. This is the manufacturer’s documented recovery path when ordinary Bluetooth discovery does not show the hub.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute- Open TRIANGLE CAPELLA.
- Tap the source icon.
- Open Bluetooth settings in the app.
- Enable Bluetooth there if it is disabled.
- Start pairing mode.
- Return to the phone, tablet, or computer’s Bluetooth settings and search again.
- Select Stereo Hub 2, or the owner-assigned name, when it appears.
Make sure the Capella 2 is on its Bluetooth input before repeating the search. If the hub remains absent after pairing mode has been started, note whether the app reports an error and whether the source device sees any other Bluetooth devices. Those details distinguish a discovery problem from a source-device issue and are useful when contacting Triangle.
Set source and listening volume after pairing
After Bluetooth connects, Triangle recommends setting the source device’s volume to about 75% and using the Capella 2 remote for listening-volume changes. This is operating guidance, not a step that makes an undiscoverable hub appear. If pairing has not succeeded, changing volume will not resolve the connection.

Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth troubleshooting are not interchangeable
| Symptom | Use this path | Do not substitute |
|---|---|---|
| TRIANGLE CAPELLA cannot detect the hub during network setup | Enable location services, run app discovery, select Stereo Hub 2, wait for any update, and check for a solid white LED | Bluetooth pairing from the phone’s device list |
| Phone, tablet, or computer cannot list Stereo Hub 2 | Select Bluetooth input with the remote, start pairing mode from the app if needed, and search again | Ethernet; it changes network access but does not pair a Bluetooth source |
| Wi‑Fi setup cannot be completed | Connect the hub’s RJ45 port to the broadband router and locate it in the app | Changing source-device volume |
| Hub has joined the network but a source still cannot connect by Bluetooth | Repeat the Bluetooth source-selection and pairing-mode steps | Assuming a solid white network LED proves Bluetooth is paired |
Keeping these paths separate prevents a common wasted effort: Ethernet can bypass a Wi‑Fi configuration failure, but it cannot make a Bluetooth device appear; conversely, selecting Bluetooth on the remote does not configure the hub for internet access.
What the LED and app status tell you
- Solid white front LED: Triangle identifies this as confirmation that Stereo Hub 2 is connected to the network.
- Hub detected in TRIANGLE CAPELLA: The app can see the hub for setup or control. Continue with the on-screen network steps if configuration is not finished.
- Hub absent from the app: Recheck location services and app discovery, then consider the RJ45 alternative.
- Hub absent from the source device’s Bluetooth list: Put the system on the Bluetooth input and start pairing mode through the app before searching again.
These indicators describe connection state; they do not identify the cause of every failure. In particular, a non-solid LED does not by itself prove that the router, phone, radio environment, or hardware is defective.

Do not rely on an unverified button combination or make up a reset timing sequence. A reset can remove existing configuration, and the correct order matters because the tutorial addresses the hub, remote, speakers, and internet reconnection as separate stages. Before resetting, write down the symptom, LED state, phone or computer used, app error text, and whether Ethernet changed the result. This record helps you resume the correct stage and gives Triangle’s support team actionable information.
