If ARC Raiders will not find a PvE match, first synchronize your device clock, turn on crossplay for every party member who can accept it, and set Gameplay > Server to Automatic. For disconnects, test the network before changing game files: use Ethernet if possible, remove VPN or proxy interference, check NAT, and restart the modem and platform. PC crashes usually respond to disabling Raider Voice (Beta), updating system and graphics drivers, verifying files, and then following the relevant Easy Anti-Cheat error branch.
The order below starts with reversible configuration checks and progresses to cache, DNS, file, and reinstall steps. ARC Raiders currently lists PC storefronts, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and GeForce NOW, with social play across PC and consoles. Menus and workaround validity can change after game updates, so check the latest announcements and release notes if a problem starts immediately after a patch.
Start with the checks that fix the most common queue problems
- Check service status and announcements. A maintenance window, outage, or changed live experiment cannot be repaired on your device. Read the current ARC Raiders announcements and release notes before changing local settings.
- Synchronize the system clock. An incorrect date or time can prevent authentication and matchmaking. Enable automatic time and time-zone settings in Windows, PlayStation 5, or Xbox, then restart the game.
- Review crossplay. Embark says crossplay being turned off is the most common reason matchmaking feels slow. Every party member must allow compatible crossplay; the most restrictive setting in the party controls the queue.
- Set the server region to Automatic. On PC, open the gear icon, choose Gameplay, then Server, and select Automatic. On console, open Social, select the gear icon, choose Gameplay, then Server and Automatic.
- Queue alone once. If solo matchmaking works but a party does not, compare each member’s crossplay and server settings before troubleshooting the network.
These are the official matchmaking checks in Embark’s Help Center guidance updated February 27, 2026. Do them before replacing DNS, deleting caches, or reinstalling.

Fix ARC Raiders matchmaking that will not find a PvE match
Crossplay and party settings
Cross-platform social play is supported between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. That does not mean every party can use every pool: a member with crossplay disabled narrows the party to compatible players. Ask each member to open the crossplay setting, enable it where acceptable, fully close the game, and invite the party again. If anyone must keep crossplay off, that choice is the limiting setting and longer waits can be expected.

Server selection and clock synchronization
Use Automatic rather than forcing a distant or temporarily unhealthy server. After changing it, return to the main menu and queue again. On consoles, perform the clock check in the platform’s date and time settings; on Windows, enable automatic time synchronization and select Sync now before launching the game.
When a PvE mode or experiment is unavailable
ARC Raiders is a live service. PvE availability, experiments, and matchmaking behavior can change with an update. If the game finds other modes but not the PvE activity you selected, verify that the activity is currently listed in Embark’s announcements or release notes instead of repeatedly changing router settings.
PC connection and “connection lost” troubleshooting
Embark’s PC connection guidance, updated February 27, 2026, recommends a stable connection and specifically prefers wired Ethernet over Wi‑Fi. A Cat6 Ethernet cable is a practical way to test that recommendation: connect the PC directly to the router, disable Wi‑Fi temporarily, and try one match.

Run the PC network path in order
- Confirm the local link. Re-enter the Wi‑Fi network and password if you remain wireless. Test another online service on the same PC. If several devices fail, troubleshoot the router or internet service before ARC Raiders.
- Remove tunnel and proxy variables. Exit VPN and proxy software, and check Windows proxy settings. These can change routing or block the ports and authentication traffic the game needs.
- Install Windows updates. Restart after updates, even if Windows does not insist on an immediate reboot.
- Run the built-in troubleshooter. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Advanced network settings, then start Windows Network Troubleshooter. Apply its reset only if you can reconnect to your network afterward.
- Try a manual DNS server. Use the fallback values in the DNS section below, then restart the PC and test again. DNS is not a guaranteed cure; it only changes how names are resolved.
- Renew the address and clear the resolver cache. Open Command Prompt and run these commands one at a time:
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdnsReconnect to the network if Windows asks, then launch ARC Raiders again.
- Disable Windows 10 Delivery Optimization peer downloads. Peer downloads can consume upstream bandwidth while you are playing. Turn the feature off temporarily, test the game, and restore your preferred Windows update behavior afterward.
- Clear the launcher cache. Use the Steam or Epic procedure below. Cache clearing is reversible, but the next launch may take longer while data is rebuilt.
PC network symptoms and the appropriate layer

Fix connection problems on PlayStation 5
Test internet, PSN, and NAT separately
- Open Settings > Network > Connection Status > Test Internet Connection.
- Record whether the internet connection, PlayStation Network sign-in, or NAT result fails. The failed item determines the next step; a successful internet test does not rule out a restricted NAT.
- Prefer Ethernet for the test. If Ethernet works and Wi‑Fi does not, the fault is the wireless path rather than the game account.
Embark identifies restricted NAT as a cause of matchmaking and connection issues. Aim for NAT Type 1 or Type 2 on PS5. If the result is Type 3, enable UPnP on the router when available, restart the router and console, and test again. UPnP changes router behavior, so use it only on a router you control.
Power-cycle the complete path
- Fully power off the PS5; do not leave it in Rest Mode.
- Unplug the modem or router for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the modem or router and wait for its internet indicators to stabilize.
- Start the PS5, install any console and ARC Raiders updates, and retry the queue.
If the test still shows a restricted NAT, the router or internet provider may be imposing it. Keep the result when contacting support; it is more useful than a general statement that “the internet works.”

Fix connection problems on Xbox Series X|S
- Open Profile & System > Settings > General > Network Settings > Test network connection.
- Note failures for internet access, Xbox network services, or NAT.
- Power off the Xbox, unplug the modem or router for at least 60 seconds, reconnect it, wait for service, and restart the console.
- Install Xbox system and ARC Raiders updates, then test with Ethernet if available.
Use Open NAT as the target on Xbox. Embark says UPnP can help when NAT is Moderate or Strict. Enable it on the router you administer, restart the networking equipment and Xbox, and run the test again. If NAT remains Strict, document the result for your provider or router manufacturer rather than repeatedly changing DNS.

Embark’s cache and DNS guidance was updated February 26, 2026. Cache clearing can address connectivity, launch, graphics, and unexpected errors, but it is not a universal fix. Use it after the clock, crossplay, server, and physical-network checks.
Steam download cache
- Open Steam.
- Choose Steam > Settings > Downloads.
- Select Clear Download Cache and sign in again if Steam requests it.
- Launch ARC Raiders and allow any pending update to finish.
Epic Games Launcher web cache
- Exit the Epic Games Launcher completely, including its notification-area process.
- In File Explorer, enter
%localappdata%EpicGamesLauncherSaved. - Delete the launcher webcache folders located there.
- Start the launcher and allow it to rebuild the cache.
PS5 system software cache
- Power off the PS5.
- Hold the power button until the second beep to enter Safe Mode.
- Connect the controller with a USB data cable; Bluetooth is not available in this menu.
- Choose Clear Cache and Rebuild Database > Clear System Software Cache.
- Restart and test ARC Raiders before using more disruptive Safe Mode options.
Xbox cache reset
- Power off the Xbox.
- Unplug it for at least two minutes.
- Reconnect power and restart the console.
- Run the network test and launch the game.

If your internet works but name resolution is unreliable, test one provider at a time:

These values are documented by Embark for PC, PS5, and Xbox. Record your original settings before changing them so you can revert if the result is worse. DNS changes do not repair a failed ISP link, strict NAT, a disabled crossplay setting, or a game-side outage.

Start with Raider Voice and updates
- Disable Raider Voice (Beta) in the game’s settings, then restart the game.
- Update the graphics card, processor/chipset, motherboard or BIOS, monitor, network adapter, and peripheral drivers. Install only drivers appropriate to your hardware.
- Update DirectX and Windows, then reboot. A restart is required for many driver and runtime changes to load.
- Disable overlays and third-party utilities temporarily. Re-test with recording, monitoring, RGB, and overclocking tools closed.
These steps target menu and loading crashes as well as failures that occur after entering a raid. If the crash began immediately after enabling a beta voice feature, leave that feature off while testing the rest of the system.

- Open Steam Library and right-click ARC Raiders.
- Choose Properties > Installed Files.
- Select Verify integrity of game files.
- Wait for the process to complete, then restart Steam and launch the game.
Verification replaces damaged or missing files without deleting personal Windows data. Do not interrupt it while Steam is writing replacements.

Easy Anti-Cheat and launch-error branches
Use the exact branch that matches the message on screen. Reinstalling the entire game first wastes time and can hide the original cause.

Embark’s PC crash article, updated September 30, 2026, documents these branches. If an antivirus exclusion is required, keep real-time protection enabled everywhere else and remove the exclusion if support identifies a different cause.
Choose the least disruptive remedy for the symptom

The table separates network-layer remedies from software-layer remedies. A DNS change cannot fix a graphics-driver crash, and a file verification cannot repair a strict NAT.
Collect useful details before contacting support
Escalate after the relevant branch fails rather than repeating the same reset. Include:
- Platform and operating-system or console software version.
- Whether the problem affects solo and party queues, and whether crossplay is enabled for every party member.
- The exact server setting and NAT result.
- Whether Ethernet changes the result.
- The complete error code, when it appears, and whether it occurs in the menu, during loading, or in a raid.
- The date the problem began and whether it followed an update.
- Which cache, DNS, driver, file-verification, or EAC steps were completed.
This information lets support distinguish a live-service issue from a local router, platform, file, or anti-cheat fault without asking you to repeat every step.
