If ANTONBLAST crashes, freezes, will not start, or ignores your controller, work through the platform fixes in order: update the game and console, restart, move a PS5 installation from USB extended storage to internal storage, restore licenses, then reinstall. For a freeze that happens at one repeatable point, test a fresh save before deleting the original. The store listings identify DualSense support for the PS5 edition and DUALSHOCK 4 support for the PS4 edition.
No ANTONBLAST-specific crash, freeze, or controller bulletin is established here. The procedures below are PlayStation platform troubleshooting steps, so the same symptom can come from an outdated system, installation data, storage location, license state, damaged save, pairing problem, or controller hardware.
Identify which ANTONBLAST edition you are troubleshooting
ANTONBLAST has separate PS5 and PS4 editions. Start by checking the edition shown on the game tile or in your library; troubleshooting details differ where system software, storage, and controller support are concerned.

A controller can work in the console menus and still fail inside a game, or fail everywhere because of pairing, cable, battery, or hardware trouble. That distinction determines whether you should keep working on ANTONBLAST or troubleshoot the console and controller first.

Do these checks before changing saves or deleting anything
- Note whether you are using the PS5 or PS4 edition.
- Write down whether the failure is a launch failure, an immediate crash, a freeze at a repeatable point, or an input problem.
- Check whether other games and the console menus respond to the same controller.
- Do not delete a save until you have preserved the original backup. A fresh-save test is useful only if you can return to the old data for further diagnosis.
- If the console displays an error code, photograph it or copy it exactly. The code and the action that triggered it are more useful to support than a description such as “it just crashes.”
When ANTONBLAST will not launch
Use this sequence for a game that stays on the title screen, closes immediately, reports that it cannot start, or returns you to the dashboard.
- Check for an ANTONBLAST update. Highlight the game on the PS5 or PS4 home screen, open its options menu, and choose the available update check. Install any update completely before starting the game again.
- Update the console. Open the system-software update area in Settings and install the current update for your model. The PS5 store listing specifically warns that the latest system software may be required.
- Restart the console. Use the normal Restart command rather than only putting the console into Rest Mode. After it reboots, launch ANTONBLAST before opening other applications.
- Move a PS5 installation off USB extended storage. If the PS5 edition is installed on a USB drive, move it to the console’s internal storage and test again. This is a troubleshooting step for launch reliability; it does not mean every USB installation is defective.
- Restore licenses. On PS5, use Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses. On PS4, use Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses. Restart after the process finishes and try the game again.
- Reinstall ANTONBLAST. Delete only the game application, not its saved data. On the home screen, highlight ANTONBLAST, open the options menu, choose Delete, then download it again from your Game Library or the store. A wired network connection is preferable during the download because it reduces the chance of an interrupted or incomplete transfer.
- Use PlayStation Safe Mode tools if the failure remains. Follow PlayStation Support’s current Safe Mode instructions for your console and use the cache-clearing and database tools listed for that model. Back up important data before any reset or system reinstallation; those operations can have consequences beyond the game application.
Test after each major change. If the game begins working after one step, stop there and keep the original save intact. Continuing to change unrelated system settings makes it harder to identify the cause.
What the result of each launch step tells you
- If updating fixes the problem, the original failure was likely related to software version compatibility or a corrected installation issue.
- If moving from USB to internal storage fixes a PS5 launch failure, leave ANTONBLAST on internal storage while you play and investigate the external drive separately.
- If restoring licenses fixes the launch, the symptom was associated with entitlement or license data rather than a controller.
- If only a reinstall works, the previous application data may have been incomplete or damaged.
- If none of these changes help and other games also fail, treat the issue as a wider console or storage problem instead of an ANTONBLAST-only fault.
When ANTONBLAST crashes or freezes during play
A crash closes the application or returns you to the dashboard. A freeze leaves the picture, sound, or controls unresponsive. Record which one occurs, because a repeatable freeze at the same location points to a different diagnostic path than a random shutdown.
1. Confirm both software versions
Check the game update and console system software again, even if the game launched previously. A pending update can remain after an interrupted download or a console update that has not yet been restarted.
2. Test from a fresh save
Start ANTONBLAST from the beginning without loading the existing save. If a new game runs normally while the old save freezes or crashes at the same point, the prior save may be corrupted.

Preserve the original save before removing it. Keep a backup in the storage option available to your console, and do not overwrite that backup with the newly created test data. The purpose of the test is to separate save-specific damage from a broader installation or console fault; it is not proof that every crash is caused by the save.
3. Reinstall if a fresh save does not change the symptom
Delete and download the game application again, then test before restoring the old save. If the clean installation still freezes with a new game, the save is less likely to be the sole cause and you should continue with system-level checks.

4. Use Safe Mode only after ordinary steps
When current software, a restart, a fresh-save test, and a reinstall do not resolve the freeze, use the cache and database maintenance tools that PlayStation Support documents for your PS5 or PS4. Back up data before selecting any option that resets the console or reinstalls system software.
5. Capture a reproducible failure
Before contacting support, record the exact sequence: menu or level, action taken, approximate time until the crash, whether sound continues, and whether the controller light or console indicators change. Add the error code and a screenshot or short video if possible. A repeatable step such as “freezes when loading the same stage after selecting Continue” gives support a usable reproduction path.
How to diagnose an ANTONBLAST controller problem
The first test is deliberately outside the game. Use the same controller in the PS5 or PS4 menus and in another game.

If the controller fails in menus and other games
- Reconnect the controller with a known-good USB cable, then test wireless operation again.
- Check its battery or charge level.
- Pair it with the console again using the console’s normal pairing procedure.
- Try another controller or another cable to determine whether the symptom follows the accessory.
- If it still fails everywhere, investigate controller hardware or console pairing rather than reinstalling ANTONBLAST repeatedly.
This cross-game failure is the point at which a replacement becomes reasonable to consider. The relevant replacement categories are a genuine Sony DualSense wireless controller for PS5 or a genuine Sony DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller for PS4. A replacement is not justified merely because ANTONBLAST ignores input while every other game works.

If the controller works everywhere except ANTONBLAST
- Confirm that the installed edition matches the console you are using.
- Install the latest game and system updates.
- Restart the console completely.
- Test ANTONBLAST with a new save, preserving the original save first.
- Reinstall the game application if the controller still fails only in ANTONBLAST.
The store listings specify the intended controller families: DualSense for the PS5 edition and DUALSHOCK 4 for the PS4 edition. They do not establish that every cross-generation controller arrangement is supported. If you are trying to use a PS4 controller with the PS5 edition, do not assume that it is an ANTONBLAST bug or that a replacement will solve it; test with the controller family listed for the edition first.
When vibration is missing but buttons work
Vibration support is listed for both editions, but vibration can be disabled at the console or controller level independently of basic button input. First verify the controller works in menus and another game, then check the console’s controller vibration setting. If only ANTONBLAST lacks vibration after updates and a restart, include that exact symptom in a support report rather than treating it as a complete controller failure.

Internal versus USB extended storage
For a PS5 launch or crash problem, move ANTONBLAST from USB extended storage to internal storage before deeper maintenance. The move changes the storage path without changing your account license. Test the game immediately after the move, before changing saves, so you know whether storage location affected the result.
System software requirement
The PS5 store listing states that the latest system software may be needed. If the console refuses to start the game after installation, complete the system update, restart, and then retry the launch sequence. A game update alone is not a substitute for updating the console firmware.

The PS5 edition lists DualSense vibration support. Test the DualSense in the PS5 interface and another title, check its charge, and reconnect it by cable if wireless input is intermittent. If it fails across the system, continue with console-level pairing and hardware checks; if it fails only in ANTONBLAST, return to the game update, fresh-save, and reinstall sequence.
PS4-specific checks
DUALSHOCK 4 support
The PS4 listing confirms DUALSHOCK 4 vibration support. A DUALSHOCK 4 that works in the PS4 menus and other games should be treated as a game-specific input problem only after software updates, a restart, a fresh-save test, and a reinstall have been attempted.
License and reinstall path
Restore licenses from Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses, restart, and test. If the application still will not launch, delete the game application while keeping saved data, then redownload it from your library. Do not interrupt the download or power off the console while installation is in progress.

- The steps already completed: restart, update, license restoration, reinstall, and any Safe Mode maintenance.
- A screenshot or video showing the failure, when privacy and account information are not exposed.
This information helps distinguish a damaged save, application installation, storage path, entitlement state, controller connection, and broader console fault without asking you to repeat every basic step.
A practical decision path
- Game will not start: update game and console, restart, move the PS5 version to internal storage, restore licenses, reinstall, then use supported Safe Mode maintenance.
- Game crashes or freezes after loading: update, test a fresh save while preserving the old one, reinstall if necessary, and document the reproducible trigger.
- Controller fails everywhere: check pairing, cable, charge, and hardware at the console level.
- Controller fails only in ANTONBLAST: verify the correct edition and controller family, then complete the software and fresh-save checks before considering replacement.
- Nothing changes after a clean installation: stop deleting data at random, gather the error details, and contact PlayStation Support with the complete reproduction record.
The safest troubleshooting order is the one that changes the least user data first: software updates and a restart, then storage and license checks, then a reinstall, and only afterward save isolation or system maintenance. That order maximizes the chance of fixing ANTONBLAST while preserving progress and identifying whether the fault follows the game, the save, the console, or the controller.
