A Pixel 10 connection failure can come from the phone, the Wi‑Fi network or internet service, a downloaded app, or the Bluetooth accessory. Start with quick radio checks and a restart, then cross-test the phone on another network or device. Only after you identify which side fails should you forget networks, clear pairings, use Safe Mode, reset connection settings, or contact support.
First, identify what is actually failing
“Pixel 10 won’t connect to Wi‑Fi” can describe several different symptoms. The Wi‑Fi switch might be disabled, the phone might reject a password, or it might join the router but show no internet. Bluetooth can fail with one headset or car while working normally with another accessory. Those distinctions determine whether to troubleshoot the phone, the network, the internet service, or the accessory.
| What you see | What it suggests | Best next test |
|---|---|---|
| Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth cannot be enabled | A phone setting, software condition, or system issue is possible. | Toggle the radio, restart the Pixel, then check for a system update. |
| The Pixel cannot join one Wi‑Fi network | The saved network record, router, password, captive portal, or that network’s configuration may be responsible. | Try another device on that network and try the Pixel on another network. |
| The Pixel joins Wi‑Fi but has no internet | The internet connection, modem, router, or service may be down even though the Wi‑Fi link works. | Test another device on the same network and check the network administrator or ISP. |
| Bluetooth fails with one accessory only | The accessory’s pairing memory, compatibility, profile, or firmware may be involved. | Forget the accessory on both sides and test a different Bluetooth device. |
| Bluetooth fails with every accessory | The Pixel’s Bluetooth state or software is more likely to be involved. | Restart, remove stale pairings, reset Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi, and install available updates. |
Google’s Wi‑Fi guidance uses the same cross-test logic: if the Pixel works on another network, the original network is the more likely fault; if other devices work on that network but the Pixel does not, the phone deserves closer attention. Community posts from early 2026 describe individual Pixel 10 owners seeing Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth disappear, but those reports do not establish how common the problem is or prove a single cause.

- Open the quick settings panel and confirm Wi‑Fi is on. Confirm Airplane mode is off. If Airplane mode is on, turn it off and wait several seconds for the radios to reinitialize.
- Turn Wi‑Fi off, wait about 10 seconds, and turn it on again. Repeat with Bluetooth if pairing is the problem.
- Move close to the Wi‑Fi router or Bluetooth accessory. Remove obvious physical obstacles and keep the accessory powered and within its normal range.
- Restart the Pixel 10. After it starts, wait for the lock screen and test the connection before opening other apps.
- Restart the Bluetooth accessory, car infotainment system, modem, or router involved in the test. A restart of the other device is especially important when the Pixel is the only phone that has not been rebooted recently.
If the Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth control is greyed out, immediately returns to the off position, or disappears after these checks, continue to the update and reset sections rather than repeatedly tapping the switch.
Use two cross-tests to locate a Wi‑Fi fault
Test another device on the original network
Connect a second phone, tablet, or computer to the same Wi‑Fi network. If that device also cannot get online, the router, modem, network configuration, or internet service is the more likely problem. Check the router’s status indicators and contact the network administrator, ISP, or router manufacturer before changing the Pixel.
Test the Pixel on a different network
Try another trusted Wi‑Fi network, such as a different home network or a hotspot you are authorized to use. If the Pixel connects and reaches the internet there, the original network is the likely source. If the Pixel fails everywhere while other devices work, continue with phone-side troubleshooting.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

A Wi‑Fi icon or a “connected” label only confirms that the Pixel has joined the local wireless network. It does not prove that the router has working internet service. If the Pixel joins but apps and web pages cannot load, test another device on that network. A service outage, modem problem, DNS issue, or router configuration can produce this symptom without a Pixel radio failure.
Forget and reconnect the Wi‑Fi network
A damaged saved-network record or a changed password can prevent a correct connection. Forgetting the network removes that record so the Pixel can create a fresh one.

- Open Settings > Network & internet > Internet.
- Open Saved networks.
- Select the affected network and tap Forget.
- Return to the Internet screen, select the network again, and enter its current password and any required network details.
- Wait for the connection, then open a web page and test an app that needs internet access.
For a public network, joining Wi‑Fi may not be enough. Look for a sign-in notification. If none appears, open a new browser page to trigger the captive-portal sign-in screen and complete the venue’s terms or login process.
Do not forget every saved network as a first step if you are away from home and cannot retrieve the passwords. Remove only the network that is failing unless you are ready to reconnect to all of them later.
Check whether a downloaded app is interfering
Safe Mode starts Android with downloaded apps disabled, which makes it a useful comparison. Google notes that Airplane mode turns on automatically when the Pixel enters Safe Mode, so Wi‑Fi testing will fail until you turn Airplane mode off.
- Open the Pixel’s power menu. Touch and hold the on-screen Power off option until the Safe Mode prompt appears, then confirm. If your software build presents a different power-menu label, use the Safe Mode option shown on screen.
- After the phone restarts, turn Airplane mode off.
- Test the same Wi‑Fi network or Bluetooth accessory that failed in normal operation.
- If the connection works in Safe Mode, restart normally and remove recently installed or recently updated apps one at a time. Test after each removal so you can identify the change associated with the problem.
Focus first on apps that manage VPNs, network traffic, device connections, battery restrictions, or system appearance. Do not remove several apps at once; doing so makes it impossible to tell which change helped. If the failure remains in Safe Mode, a downloaded app is less likely to be the cause.
Correct the Pixel’s date and time
An incorrect date or time can interfere with Wi‑Fi authentication and web security checks. Enable automatic time so the phone uses the network-provided value.

- Open Settings > System > Date & time.
- Turn on the automatic date and time option and the automatic time-zone option if they are available.
- Restart the Pixel or toggle Wi‑Fi off and on, then try the connection again.
If you intentionally use a manual time for testing, restore automatic time before diagnosing sign-in pages, certificates, or captive portals. A clock that is only a few minutes wrong can be enough to cause authentication errors.
Fix Pixel 10 Bluetooth pairing failures
Clear stale pairings on the phone
Bluetooth accessories often retain an old phone entry. On the Pixel, open Bluetooth settings, select devices you no longer use, and choose the option to forget or remove each stale device. Keep the accessory you are troubleshooting available for a new pairing attempt.
Clear the old phone from a car
Vehicle systems commonly limit the number of remembered phones. Forget the car on the Pixel, then use the vehicle’s own Bluetooth or phone menu to delete the old Pixel entry. The exact menu differs by vehicle, so follow the vehicle manual for clearing paired phones. Start a new pairing from the car’s pairing screen and confirm the code on both displays.
Check the audio profile
A successful Bluetooth connection does not guarantee that calls or media will route through the accessory. Open the connected device’s settings on the Pixel and confirm the needed profile is enabled: Media audio for music and video, or Phone audio for calls. If only one function fails, checking the profile is more appropriate than repeatedly pairing the device.
Pair under controlled conditions
Charge the accessory, place it near the Pixel, and put it into its documented pairing mode rather than ordinary power-on mode. Turn off Bluetooth on nearby phones that may automatically reconnect to the accessory. Then pair from the Pixel’s Bluetooth device list. If the accessory still fails, test a different Bluetooth device; that comparison shows whether the failure follows the Pixel or stays with the original accessory.

Reset Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi settings
Use a network reset only after the simpler checks, because it removes saved connection information. Google’s Wi‑Fi instructions provide this path: Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Bluetooth & Wi‑Fi. Confirm the reset and allow the Pixel to restart or reinitialize its radios.
This action deletes saved Wi‑Fi connections. Google’s general Pixel help also describes a network reset as clearing saved networks and Bluetooth pairings. Have your Wi‑Fi passwords available and expect to pair cars, earbuds, watches, keyboards, and other accessories again. The reset does not erase photos, messages, apps, or other personal files, but it can remove customized connection settings.
After the reset, test one Wi‑Fi network and one Bluetooth accessory before restoring every saved connection. If the first clean pairing works, add other networks and accessories individually so a particular configuration does not reintroduce the problem unnoticed.

Updates can include radio, authentication, and device-compatibility fixes. Check the update offered specifically for your Pixel 10:
- Open Settings > System > System update.
- Let the phone check for an available update.
- Install the update while the Pixel has sufficient battery and a reliable internet connection, then restart if prompted.
- Test Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth again, including the exact network or accessory that originally failed.
Google’s January 2026 Pixel update announcement listed Pixel 10 among supported devices, while noting that rollout timing depends on the carrier and device. Its published fixes did not list Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth connectivity. Google’s September 2026 Pixel update announcement does list a fix for an issue that could prevent Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth from being enabled under certain conditions. That is directly relevant when a radio will not turn on, but it is not evidence that every connection or pairing failure has the same cause. Availability can differ by carrier, device, and region, so the update screen on your own Pixel is the authoritative check.

Choose the right support route
Use the cross-test results rather than sending every failure to the same support channel.
| Result after troubleshooting | Who should handle the next step |
|---|---|
| The Pixel fails on multiple Wi‑Fi networks, and other devices work on those networks. | Contact Pixel support. Provide the Android build, update status, steps already tried, and whether Safe Mode changed the result. |
| Only one Wi‑Fi network fails, while the Pixel works elsewhere. | Contact the network administrator, ISP, or router manufacturer. Report whether other devices can connect and whether the Pixel gets local Wi‑Fi but no internet. |
| Only one Bluetooth accessory fails, while other accessories pair. | Check the accessory’s manual and contact its manufacturer or support channel. Include whether the old pairing was removed from both devices. |
| Every Bluetooth accessory fails after a restart and network reset. | Contact Pixel support, especially if Bluetooth cannot be enabled or the problem began after a system change. |
When contacting support, record the exact symptom instead of saying only “Bluetooth is broken.” Note whether the switch turns on, whether the accessory appears in the scan list, whether pairing reaches a code-confirmation screen, and whether calls or media fail after pairing. For Wi‑Fi, record the network name, whether another device works, whether the Pixel connects without internet, and whether another network works.
Keep factory reset as a last resort
A factory reset is not a routine connection fix. Google warns that it deletes data from the Pixel. If support recommends it after hardware and software diagnosis, back up photos, messages, authentication data, and any other information you need before proceeding. Confirm that you know the Google Account credentials and have access to recovery methods before erasing the phone.

Do not factory-reset the Pixel merely because one router rejects it or one car cannot pair. Those patterns point to the network or accessory and can be resolved without erasing the phone. A reset is most defensible when the failure follows the Pixel across networks and accessories, survives updates and a network reset, and support has ruled out a known software or hardware issue.
What the evidence does—and does not—show
Official Google guidance supports a staged diagnosis: refresh the radios, cross-test the phone and network, remove stale saved records, use Safe Mode to check app interference, reset connection settings, update the system, and escalate to the party that controls the failing device or service. There is no published, owner-attributed statistic establishing a Pixel 10 Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth failure rate, so a percentage or claim that the problem affects all Pixel 10 phones would be misleading.
The September 2026 update is worth checking when Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth will not enable at all. It should not replace the cross-tests, because a password error, captive portal, internet outage, car memory limit, disabled audio profile, or defective accessory can produce a similar complaint without being fixed by that update.
