To fully kit a weapon in How to Fish, equip one attachment in each of its four slots on the same weapon: extended magazine, laser sight, optic, and muzzle. You do not need every attachment variant; choose either the red dot or sniper scope, and either the compensator or suppressor. That is the achievement condition reported by a player-facing attachment guide.
Which attachment slots count?
A weapon is fully kitted when all four slots are occupied at once:

The achievement is described as requiring one weapon with all four slots filled, not every alternative attachment in the game. This rule comes from the player-facing guide; an official achievement description was not available in the cited sources.
Which weapon and attachments should you pick?
For the achievement
Use a weapon you expect to keep using, then fill each slot with an available option. The exact optic and muzzle do not change the four-slot requirement. The key is that all four attachments are on the same weapon at the same time.

For a late-game target
The attachment guide recommends the assault rifle as a practical late-game choice because it is used for endgame preparation. It favors a suppressor with the laser sight for hip-fire output, while recommending a compensator earlier when recoil control is the priority. These are guide recommendations, not results from controlled testing, and another player-guide compilation notes a route built around a maxed SMG. The assault rifle is therefore a sensible option, not a proven universal best.
Choose the muzzle deliberately. In its September 1, 2026 announcement, the developers said, “You can no longer downgrade from suppressor to compensator.” If you buy the suppressor, do not count on switching back to the compensator later. Official patch notes

Red dot or sniper scope?
The cited guides identify both as optic alternatives but do not provide measured comparisons of their performance. Pick the optic that suits how you plan to use the weapon; either fills the optic slot for the reported achievement condition.

When can you assemble the setup?
The attachment guide reports that a four-slot setup is possible from Island 3. It says Island 4 adds the sniper scope and suppressor options, while Volcano Island is where money comes together more quickly. Treat this as route guidance from a secondary source rather than a guarantee of exact availability or income in every playthrough. If funds are the obstacle, continuing progression before buying every upgrade may be more practical.

How to finish the build without missing a slot
- Choose the weapon. Select one you plan to carry into the next stages; the assault rifle is the guide’s late-game recommendation, but it is not required by the reported achievement rule.
- Buy and equip an extended magazine. Check that it is attached to your chosen weapon.
- Add the laser sight. Keep it on that same weapon.
- Choose and equip one optic. Use the red dot or sniper scope; you do not need both.
- Choose and equip one muzzle. Use the compensator or suppressor. Since the September 1, 2026 patch disabled downgrading from suppressor to compensator, consider that choice before purchasing.
- Verify the finished weapon. Confirm the magazine, laser, optic, and muzzle are all equipped on the same weapon simultaneously.
What changed in patch 1.0.11?
The official September 1, 2026 patch announcement says the iron sight was removed as a purchasable item because players were buying it by mistake and losing their other attachments. It also says suppressors can no longer be downgraded to compensators. Older instructions that tell you to buy an iron sight or rely on switching from suppressor to compensator are out of date. The announcement confirms these changes, but it does not document the complete attachment system.
