Find the Albatross on Island 4, also called Rocks Island. To summon it, use a Professional Boss Lure to catch and defeat the Tuna, then place the Tuna’s body on open ground. Fight from building cover with a long-range weapon, firing after the Albatross’s attack passes. Afterward, collect the Albatross Head and turn it in to the island NPC for the coordinates to Volcano Island.
Where to find the Albatross
The Albatross encounter is on Island 4, commonly called Rocks or Rocks Island. It is an aerial boss; casting a regular fishing rod at the Albatross does not summon it. The trigger is the body of a defeated Tuna. Three recent third-party guides agree on this location and encounter sequence: Nerd’s Chalk (updated August 29, 2026), All Things How (updated August 25, 2026), and Mobalytics (updated August 27, 2026). No official game documentation or patch notes confirming the steps were found.
How to summon the Albatross
- Get the Professional Boss Lure on Rocks Island. Use the Professional Boss Lure, not the ordinary Professional Lure; the guides distinguish the boss lure as the one used for the Tuna encounter.
- Catch and defeat the Tuna. Keep its body. Do not sell or cook it before using it to summon the Albatross.
- Place the Tuna body on open ground. The Albatross arrives and starts the encounter.
How to beat the Albatross
Set up before placing the bait
Choose a position near a building or other solid cover before you put down the Tuna. The guides name places such as the casino, shop, or hut as possible cover. Bring a long-range weapon; they recommend a Sniper Rifle because the Albatross remains airborne and at a distance.

Stay sheltered during the Albatross’s dive or projectile attack. When the attack passes, step out and shoot while it is exposed or returning from a pass, then move back into cover. Repeat this attack-and-cover cycle from your position rather than chasing the boss around the island.

These are tactics reported by the guides, not firsthand test results. They do not establish exact damage values, ammunition limits, weapon prices, or reliable attack timing, so plan around the attack you can see rather than a fixed interval.
What to do after the fight
Pick up the Albatross Head and take it to the island NPC. The guides say turning in the Head gives you coordinates for Volcano Island and advances the main route. If progression does not continue, check that you collected and turned in the Head rather than relying on ordinary drops.
