For the weather-bound Thunderstorm Form Thornblade, go to Sea of Flowers when the region is rainy or experiencing a thunderstorm. Open the map, verify the Thornblade tile has its blue rain-cloud badge, track the habitat entry, and follow the route to the abandoned stone house with a red-tiled roof in the iris fields. Thornblade is in the doorway. The available route information does not give a reliable numerical coordinate, so use the landmark instead of an invented coordinate.
Which Thornblade are you trying to find?
Aniimo has a basic Thornblade species and a weather-bound Thunderstorm Form. They are related encounters, but their distribution rules are not the same. Confusing them is the main reason players search the wrong region or wait for weather that does not apply.

For the Thunderstorm Form, the destination is Sea of Flowers. Set out only when the regional weather is rain or thunderstorm, then inspect Thornblade’s map tile for the blue rain-cloud badge. If you mean the ordinary species, search both Sea of Flowers and Rosetower Woods instead; the two-region listing does not automatically mean the Thunderstorm Form appears in both places.
Where do you find Thornblade in Aniimo?
For the Thunderstorm Form, the destination is Sea of Flowers. The region must currently show rain or a thunderstorm. Once those conditions are active, look for the abandoned stone house with a red-tiled roof among the iris fields. Thornblade is reported to stand in the house doorway.
The route source does not publish an exact latitude, longitude, or in-game grid coordinate. Do not substitute a guessed number: the house and iris-field landmark are the dependable visual reference for this encounter. If you are hunting the ordinary Thornblade instead, include Rosetower Woods in your search because the general species listing names both Sea of Flowers and Rosetower Woods.
Do you need a thunderstorm, or is rain enough?
Rain is enough. The Thunderstorm Form guide says ordinary rain qualifies; a thunderstorm also qualifies but is not mandatory. Check the regional weather rather than waiting only for lightning. The weather gate applies to the special form, while the ordinary Thornblade listing does not state that it requires rain.
Aniimo explains that one species can develop different Forms in different regions, weather conditions, times of day, or other special environments. The in-game Forms entry, reproduced by aniimo.guide, states: “The same species of Aniimo may evolve into different Forms in different regions, weather, times of day, or other special environments in order to survive. There is also a rare Form that only appears in a Prismana environment.” This is why the form name and live weather matter when you search.
In practical terms, two checks should agree before you travel. The Sea of Flowers region should show qualifying weather, and the Thornblade tile should display the blue rain-cloud badge. The regional weather tells you what the area is experiencing; the badge tells you that the weather-sensitive Thornblade entry is currently flagged as available. Neither check replaces the other.
Step-by-step route to the Thunderstorm Form
- Open the world map. Select Sea of Flowers, or zoom out until the regional map is visible. The lower-left Aniimo Distribution control provides the regional collection and weather view. The map tutorial reproduced by aniimo.guide says to press Aniimo Distribution in the lower-left corner or zoom the map all the way out to view each region’s Aniimo collection progress and weather conditions. - Read Sea of Flowers’ current weather. Wait until the region is marked rainy or in a thunderstorm. You do not need to wait for thunder if rain is already displayed. A dry weather label is not a qualifying condition for the Thunderstorm Form.
- Check Thornblade’s tile before traveling. Open the Thornblade entry in the distribution or habitat view and look for the small blue rain-cloud badge. The guide uses this badge as an availability signal for the weather variant. If the regional label says rain but the Thornblade tile has not received the badge, recheck the entry instead of assuming the encounter is active.
- Open the habitat or map entry and start tracking. Mark the Thornblade spawn area through the habitat interface. The interactive map can identify the area, while the game’s tracking display gives directional and distance guidance as you move. Keep the selected destination active while navigating so the indicator remains useful.
- Choose a usable fast-travel point. Travel from an activated Transporter when possible. A Transporter becomes available after you walk up to it and interact with it. When a destination is selected, the map can choose a nearby active Transporter and suggest a route.
- Follow the route into the iris fields. Use the tracked direction and the terrain around the marked area. Look for the abandoned stone house: it is made of stone, has a red-tiled roof, and stands among the iris fields. The landmark is more dependable than trying to convert the route into an unsupported coordinate.
- Check the doorway. The reported Thunderstorm Form spawn waits in the doorway of that house. Approach carefully and prepare to capture it rather than attacking first.

How to prepare before the weather changes
Because the form is tied to regional weather, map preparation saves more time than wandering through Sea of Flowers and hoping to see the house. Activate a Transporter near the region whenever you pass one. Activation requires walking up to the Transporter and interacting with it; merely seeing the marker does not make it a usable departure point.
It also helps to identify the Thornblade entry before the weather turns. That way, when Aniimo Distribution shows rain, you can immediately reopen the tile and look for the blue badge. If the special entry is hidden or greyed out, explore more of the world first. The game’s help text says distribution information is withheld until enough areas have been explored, so an unrevealed entry is an information limit rather than proof that the creature has no spawn.
Keep the distinction between the ordinary species page and the Thunderstorm Form page in mind while preparing. The basic entry links to 31 reported spawn points across Sea of Flowers and Rosetower Woods. The weather-form guide reports one Sea of Flowers spawn. A broad species map can therefore show places that are irrelevant to the particular form you want.
How to use Aniimo’s map tools
Aniimo Distribution
Aniimo Distribution is the fastest way to answer two preliminary questions: whether you are looking at the right region and what weather is active there. Use the lower-left map control, or fully zoom out, to display regional collection progress and weather. This view is more useful than traveling blindly because the special form can be unavailable even when you are standing in the correct general area.
The regional weather display is not merely a collection-completion screen. It is the check that tells you whether the weather gate can be satisfied. Read Sea of Flowers specifically; weather in another region does not activate a Sea of Flowers encounter.
Habitat tracking
After selecting Thornblade, use the habitat or map entry to mark the spawn. Tracking supplies a direction-and-distance indicator, so you can keep the destination selected while moving through the fields. The tracking marker is a navigation aid, not a replacement for the visual landmark; finish the search by identifying the red-roofed stone house.
If the indicator brings you to the correct general area but no creature is obvious, slow down and compare the terrain with the description. Search the iris fields for the stone walls and red roof, then inspect the doorway. Do not assume that reaching the edge of a marker means the encounter is at a numerical point that the map has not displayed.

Transporters and destinations
Transporters are not automatically usable when first seen. Walk to one and interact with it to activate it. Later, the map can route you from an active Transporter near the selected destination. Other map destinations include Outposts, Branches, Blooms, and Sanctums once those locations have been activated.
Activating nearby points before beginning a weather-gated hunt reduces the distance you must cover after the badge appears. The route suggestion is also useful when the spawn area is marked but the approach is unfamiliar: select the destination, choose an active Transporter, and follow the suggested path before switching your attention to the house landmark.
What to do if Thornblade is not appearing
The region is dry
Return to the map and wait for Sea of Flowers to show rain or thunderstorm weather. A clear or otherwise different weather state does not satisfy the reported Thunderstorm Form condition. Ordinary rain is sufficient, so do not mistake the absence of thunder for a failed condition.
The weather is right but the tile has no blue badge
Reopen the Thornblade tile through Aniimo Distribution and confirm that you are viewing the special form rather than the basic species entry. The guide treats the blue rain-cloud badge as a live cue that the weather variant is present. If the badge is absent, continue checking the map state before making the trip.
Also verify that you are reading Sea of Flowers’ weather, not a neighboring region’s label. The ordinary Thornblade map may still list a habitat while the weather-form tile remains unavailable. Region, form, and badge must line up.

A greyed-out distribution entry does not prove that the Aniimo is missing. Game help text says distribution information remains hidden until you have explored enough areas. Explore additional areas, then return to the map and check Thornblade again. This is an information-unlock condition, not a confirmed change to the spawn rules.
You reached the marked area but cannot identify the spawn
Keep the tracking destination selected and compare the terrain with the documented landmark. Search for the abandoned stone house with the red-tiled roof in the iris fields, then inspect its doorway. No supported numerical coordinate is available for this route, so a compass number copied from an unrelated map can lead you away from the correct building.

You are searching Rosetower Woods for the form
Rosetower Woods belongs in the search when you mean the basic Thornblade species. The Thunderstorm Form route reports Sea of Flowers as its location. Do not apply the ordinary species’ two-region listing to the weather-bound form without checking its own tile and weather condition.
You defeated the encounter
The Thunderstorm Form guide transcribes the spawn card as singular and non-respawning. That means you should treat the encounter as a one-time opportunity and avoid defeating it before capture. This non-respawn description is based on the guide’s transcription of the in-game spawn card, not on an independently repeated test. If the live client behaves differently after an update, rely on the current in-game information.

If you are collecting the ordinary species rather than the weather form, Thornblade is listed as a Grass DPS Aniimo evolved from Budsquire. The species index reports these level-1 values:

Those values identify the species entry; they do not change the weather requirement described for the Thunderstorm Form. For ordinary Thornblade, consult the species page’s Sea of Flowers and Rosetower Woods listings and the linked spawn map. The stats are useful for confirming that you opened the correct species page, but they are not route instructions and cannot reveal when the weather form is active.

The two searches have different priorities. For the ordinary species, start with the habitat list and its 31 linked spawn points, checking Sea of Flowers and Rosetower Woods. No special weather gate is stated in that listing. For the Thunderstorm Form, start with Sea of Flowers weather, then confirm the blue badge and follow the single reported route to the house.
This comparison explains why a player can find a regular Thornblade map marker but still fail to see the form requested by a guide. A species-level location answers where the species has reported spawns; the form-level badge and weather answer whether the unusual variant is available now. Use the species page for broad collection and the live map state for the weather-bound encounter.

The route guidance was checked by its publisher against client build 1.0.0.7 and game data, with the relevant pages updated or published in September 2026: the species listing on 16 September, map and fast-travel guidance on 17 September, the Thunderstorm Form route on 20 September, and the general distribution guide on 30 September. Aniimo’s map labels, badge behavior, spawn names, and weather rules can change with patches, so compare the live client with these instructions if an update changes the interface.
