During the Rescue Mission quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, inspect exactly five green decorations inside Oogie Boogie’s Mirror Lair. The objects are a polar bear, hanging plant, lantern, potions and pedestal. They are spread across the left side, center counter area and right corner, and every one must be interacted with to advance the objective.
Where to look in Mirror Lair
Enter the Mirror Lair during Rescue Mission and search by landmark rather than color alone. Some decorations glow a bright neon green, but others are a darker green and can merge with the ordinary scenery. Check furniture edges, wall fixtures, counters and corners carefully.

Five-object walkthrough
1. Inspect the green polar bear
From the first floor, move to the left corner and examine the couch. The green polar bear is sitting on it, close to the stairs that lead toward Oogie Boogie’s wheel. Interact with the bear until the game registers the inspection.

Stay on the left side and check the corner immediately beside the stairs. The green hanging potted plant is tucked into this area, so it may be easy to miss if you scan only the open floor.

3. Inspect the wall-mounted lantern
Go to the left-side counter where the Snake and Spider Stew is displayed. Look at the wall near the red and purple skeletons. The green lantern hangs there; approach it and interact with it rather than searching the counter surface.
4. Inspect the green potions
Cross toward the central lava pit and look behind it for the cash-register counter. The green potions sit on the counter beside the register. Their position behind the pit can hide them from a direct approach, so change your camera angle if necessary.

5. Inspect the green pedestal
Finish in the room’s right corner. The green pedestal is near a couch and the crafting station. Interact with it to complete the fifth and final decoration check.
How to make every decoration register
- Approach the object until the interaction prompt appears.
- Use the game’s interact command and wait for the inspection to complete.
- Confirm that the objective updates before moving to the next landmark.
- If an item is hard to see, sweep the camera around the corner, wall or counter; darker green objects can blend into the lair.
- After all five interactions register, continue the quest sequence toward confronting Oogie Boogie about the Ghosties in the glowing decor.
Quest availability and timing
The Dreamlight Valley Wiki lists this investigation as an objective in the Oogie Boogie event quest Rescue Mission. It records an unlock date of October 14, 2026 and an event end date of November 4, 2026. Access also depends on having accepted the first quest in the sequence before the event is removed. These dates are event-specific; game updates can change availability, so check the current in-game event information if the quest is not present.

If you cannot find an item
- Start with the side: the bear, plant and lantern are all on the left; the pedestal is on the right; the potions are behind the central lava pit.
- Use the landmark: stairs, Snake and Spider Stew, skeletons, cash register, lava pit and crafting station identify the intended spots more reliably than color.
- Check for a dark-green object: not every target has the same neon glow, and darker pieces can look like normal scenery.
- Verify interaction: merely viewing an object is not enough; each decoration must be selected and inspected for the objective to advance.
