For U.S. shoppers, the dependable way to find discounted Nintendo Switch games is Nintendo’s official Sales & Deals page. Select Nintendo Switch in the platform filter, refine the list by price, category, genre, availability, or edition, then open each game’s live listing to confirm its current price and offer end date. Because the selection and prices change, treat the product page—not an old article, screenshot, or search result—as the final authority before you buy.
Use Nintendo’s official sale listing
Nintendo’s U.S. Sales & Deals page is the central directory for listed digital offers. It is free to browse; you do not need an eShop gift card, a Nintendo Switch Online membership, or a purchase to see which games are discounted.

Open nintendo.com/us/store/sales-and-deals/ in a browser. The page can be viewed on a computer or phone, while purchases are completed through the Nintendo eShop on a compatible device. Nintendo also encourages visitors to check back for featured offers and recommendations because the selection changes.
Find Switch games step by step
- Open the Sales & Deals page. Use the U.S. Nintendo site if your Nintendo Account and eShop region are set to the United States. A different country’s store can show different products, currencies, prices, and deadlines.
- Locate the sale-results listing. Scroll to the area containing the available offers. If the page presents featured promotions first, continue to the full listing so you can use its filters.
- Set Platform to Nintendo Switch. Choose the Nintendo Switch platform option. This removes offers intended for other Nintendo hardware and makes the remaining results relevant to a Switch console.
- Apply additional filters only when they help. Use price to set a budget, category to separate games from downloadable content or other products, genre to focus on a type of play, availability to hide unavailable offers, and edition to distinguish versions when the listing provides that choice.
- Open a title’s live product entry. Select the game rather than relying on the card in the results grid. The product page is where you should verify the exact edition, whether the item is a full game or add-on content, and the current offer information.
- Record the buying details before checkout. Note the displayed sale price, regular price, discount information, and offer end date. These values are dynamic; do not carry a price or deadline forward from a previous visit.
- Complete the purchase in Nintendo eShop. Follow the product page’s purchase option on your Switch or another supported device, sign in to the Nintendo Account that will own the software, and check the final total and region before confirming payment.
What the sale listing tells you
A result card is useful for scanning, but the live entry provides the information needed for a purchase decision. Look for these elements:
#1 Best Overall
- Minecraft is a game about placing blocks and going on adventures
- Explore randomly generated worlds and build amazing things from the simplest of homes to the grandest of castles
- Play in creative mode with unlimited resources or mine deep into the world in survival mode, crafting weapons and armor to fend off the dangerous mobs
- Play on the go in handheld or tabletop modes
- Includes Super Mario Mash-Up, Natural Texture Pack, Biome Settlers Skin Pack, Battle & Beasts Skin Pack, Campfire Tales Skin Pack; Compatible with Nintendo Switch only
| Listing detail | How to use it | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Title and product type | Confirm the name and whether it is a game, bundle, expansion, or other downloadable content. | A discounted add-on may require a separately owned base game. |
| Platform | Verify that Nintendo Switch is shown on the entry. | Some Nintendo catalog pages contain products for more than one platform. |
| Current price | Use the amount shown on the live product page at the time you intend to purchase. | Sale prices can change or disappear after the listing is updated. |
| Regular price | Compare it with the sale amount when both are displayed. | This shows the stated price reduction for that listing, not a promise about future discounts. |
| Discount | Check the displayed percentage or saving alongside the actual currency amount. | A percentage can look large on a low-priced item; the final price is what your budget pays. |
| Offer end date | Read the date and any time or time-zone wording on the entry. | The deadline belongs to that offer and should not be inferred from another game. |
| Edition | Choose the intended edition if standard, deluxe, bundle, or other versions appear. | Different editions can include different content and have different prices. |
If one of these details is not shown for a particular entry, do not assume it. Nintendo’s listing data is live and individual products can present different information.
Choose filters for the way you shop
When you have a fixed budget
Start with the price filter, then set Platform to Nintendo Switch. Sorting the remaining results by the available price options lets you build a shortlist without opening every title. Still open the individual entries to check the exact amount, edition, and deadline before paying.
When you are looking for a type of game
Select Nintendo Switch first, then use Genre to narrow the catalog. Genre labels are broad, so read each product description for the specific mode, rating, number of players, and other characteristics you need. Do not treat a genre filter as proof that two games have the same features.
When you want a complete game rather than add-on content
Use Category and inspect the product type on each entry. A sale can contain full games, downloadable expansions, bundles, and other digital items together. If an item is DLC, check its requirements before purchase; a lower price does not make it a standalone game.
Rank #2
- New stages and fighters are joined by the combined rosters of every past Super Smash Bros. Game
- Challenge others anytime, anywhere, whether you're on the couch or on the go
- Play any way you want—locally, online, in TV mode, Tabletop mode, Handheld mode, or even with GameCube Controllers
- Fight faster and smarter with new and returning techniques, like the perfect shield and directional air dodge
- Face off in 2-4 player battles, or play against the computer
When availability is important
Apply the Availability filter to remove offers that cannot currently be purchased or downloaded in the listing’s region. Availability can change independently of the discount, so reopen the product entry if you return later.
When several editions are listed
Use the Edition filter where available, then compare what each version contains. A deluxe or bundle edition may include a season pass, cosmetic items, or expansions, while a standard edition may include only the base game. The sale percentage alone does not tell you which package is the best value for your library.
How to verify that an offer is worth buying
Check the exact product, not just the franchise name
Search results can place a base game, soundtrack, demo, expansion, and bundle near one another. Read the full title and product description, and confirm the software type before adding it to your cart.
Compare the stated prices
When the entry displays both regular and sale prices, compare those two values on the same page. Do not compare a current sale with a price copied from a different region, an earlier promotion, or a physical retailer.

Check the deadline in context
Record the offer end date shown by Nintendo for that specific product. If the date is close, complete the purchase before it expires rather than assuming the promotion will be extended or repeated. Nintendo does not establish a permanent sale price merely by displaying a discount today.
Confirm account and region details
Your Nintendo Account country or region controls which eShop catalog and currency you see. A U.S. listing is appropriate for a U.S. account, but it may not match an account registered elsewhere. If the product page redirects you to another region, stop and verify the account settings instead of assuming the U.S. price applies.
Why prices and sale results change
Sales & Deals is a live catalog rather than a fixed list. Nintendo’s own page tells visitors to check back for featured offers and game recommendations and to explore all sales and deals. A title can leave the sale, receive a different discount, or show a new end date after you first find it.
Recommended Free Tools
For that reason, save the product page only as a way to return to the title; do not use a saved price as a guarantee. Refresh the page immediately before checkout and read the current amount and deadline again. Search-engine snippets and screenshots can be stale even when the linked page still exists.

Buying after you identify a deal
Use Nintendo eShop on your device
The usual path is to open Nintendo eShop on your Switch, select the Nintendo Account that should own the game, find the title, and follow the purchase prompts. Review the displayed currency, edition, and total before confirming. A game bought by one Nintendo Account is associated with that account, so choose carefully if multiple people use the console.
Use an eShop card only if you want one
Nintendo’s Retail Offers page describes Nintendo eShop cards as a way to fund eShop purchases and directs shoppers to use Nintendo eShop on a device. A card is optional: it is not required to browse the sale, apply filters, or identify discounted games. If you use one, confirm that the card’s region and currency match the Nintendo Account before redeeming it.
Troubleshoot missing or unexpected results
The platform filter is not visible
- Make sure you are on Nintendo’s Sales & Deals listing rather than a general search or a featured promotion page.
- Expand the filter controls on a narrow phone screen; some controls may be collapsed behind a filter button.
- Reload the page and try a current browser if the controls fail to appear.
A game appears in search but not after filtering
- Check whether the search result is for a different platform, region, or product type.
- Clear every filter except Platform and select Nintendo Switch again.
- Open the product entry directly and check its availability. The item may have left the promotion or become unavailable.
The price differs from an earlier page
- Trust the current live product entry for your region.
- Confirm that you are comparing the same edition and not a bundle or DLC item.
- Check whether the earlier amount came from a different currency, account region, or expired offer.
The offer end date is unclear
- Open the full product page instead of relying on a card or search snippet.
- Look for time-zone wording and the complete date.
- If Nintendo does not state a deadline for that entry, treat the end date as not stated rather than guessing from another promotion.
The product cannot be purchased
- Verify that the Nintendo Account region matches the store page.
- Check the Availability filter and the product’s own status.
- Confirm that you selected a complete game rather than content that requires another title.
A fast repeatable workflow
Use this checklist whenever you want to scan the sale quickly:

Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Open Nintendo’s U.S. Sales & Deals page.
- Set Platform to Nintendo Switch.
- Use Price, Category, Genre, Availability, or Edition only as needed.
- Open each promising result’s live product entry.

- Read the current sale price, regular price or discount when shown, and offer end date.
- Check the region, edition, and any base-game requirement.
- Refresh the entry and review the final total in Nintendo eShop before purchasing.
What you should not rely on
- Old deal articles: Their prices and deadlines may have expired.
- Unverified screenshots: They do not establish the current region, edition, or offer status.
- A discount percentage alone: It does not identify the package contents or final amount.
- An eShop card as a prerequisite: Cards fund purchases but do not reveal additional sale listings.
- A result without a platform check: The Nintendo catalog can contain products that are not intended for your Switch.
Regional scope and freshness
The instructions above describe the U.S. Nintendo store and its dollar-based listings. Other regions can have different storefront URLs, currencies, tax treatment, catalogs, and promotion dates. Sale inventory, prices, offer end dates, and card availability are volatile; recheck the official listing on the day you plan to buy.
Quick Recap
