If you mean the Spaceport quest When Everything Falls, bring the Basic Camera Shani gives you, follow the route from the Water Towers toward the Launch Towers, and wait for every photo objective to register before moving on. The quest has eight objectives: reach the Water Towers, then photograph seven locations. After the last photograph, descend, reach an available extraction point, return to Speranza, and speak with Shani.

The title can be confusing because ARC Raiders also has another current camera-related quest with a different route. The instructions below apply specifically to When Everything Falls in Spaceport, the route described in KeenGamer’s October 12, 2026 walkthrough. Landmark positions and extraction availability can vary during a live match, so use the in-game objective text as the final authority.

What you need before entering Spaceport

  • Basic Camera: Accept When Everything Falls and take the Basic Camera supplied by Shani. It is an in-game quest item; you do not need a separate physical camera or outside equipment.
  • Spaceport access: The route begins in the northwest and ends at the Launch Towers. Bring enough healing and ammunition to survive a long traversal, but the walkthrough’s advice is to avoid unnecessary fights rather than clear every enemy.
  • Fuel Cell when Launch Tower Loot is active: Under the Launch Tower Loot map condition, some doors on the zipline route may be powered down. Carry a Fuel Cell if you see a generator requirement; without power, a normally usable zipline door may remain unavailable.
  • Time for a full traversal: You must photograph outdoor landmarks, breach a building, climb a tower, and then extract. Do not start the route with an extraction timer that leaves no margin for the climb back out.

ARC Raiders is built around entering a dangerous area, collecting objectives or loot, and getting out while machines and other Raiders remain active threats. Embark Studios summarizes the loop as: “Extract valuable loot and explore the unfolding mysteries of a vibrant, lethal world.” Treat the camera run as an extraction mission, not a sightseeing trip.

The seven camera locations at a glance

The route moves generally west to east, then north and upward through the Launch Towers. The sequence below follows the published walkthrough and minimizes backtracking.

Photo Area and landmark What must be in frame Important check
1 Water Towers, near Alberi Hills The small security booth at the nearby T-junction Wait for the objective to register before leaving the junction.
2 Road east of the Water Towers The reinforced bus Use the road as your route toward the perimeter.
3 Perimeter near the Acerra Spaceport sign The breach in the perimeter wall The opening must be visible; you do not need to climb through it.
4 Arrival Building, northwest exterior The interior of the Security Room Breach the sealed entrance and photograph the room, not the hallway.
5 Between the Arrival Building and Launch Towers Port A from ground level Move farther back if the entrance and tower structure are not included.
6 Western Launch Tower, Control Room The inside of the Control Room Use the ladder and zipline route; a Fuel Cell may be needed under Launch Tower Loot.
7 Top Launch Platform The upper platform Confirm the final photo before beginning the descent.

The walkthrough identifies the mission as eight objectives: one objective for reaching the Water Towers and seven separate photo objectives. It does not provide map coordinates, so the named structures and road junctions are more useful than trying to follow an unverified coordinate list.

Step-by-step route through Spaceport

1. Reach the Water Towers and photograph the security booth

Start in the northwest of Spaceport, close to Alberi Hills, and make your way to the Water Towers. Once you arrive, follow the road east until it reaches a nearby T-junction. A small security booth sits at that junction.

Take the first photograph of the booth. Keep the camera pointed at the structure until the objective notification appears. The quest can fail to credit a photograph if you move on immediately after pressing the shutter, so use the on-screen objective list as confirmation rather than relying only on the camera animation.

2. Photograph the reinforced bus

Remain on the road and continue east toward the perimeter. The next target is a reinforced bus. Stop where the bus is clearly identifiable and take the photograph.

Do not assume that passing the bus is enough. Check that the second photo objective changes to completed before continuing. If machines or another Raider arrive, use cover near the road, take the shot when the sightline is clear, and leave instead of turning the stop into a prolonged fight.

3. Photograph the perimeter breach

Continue toward the Acerra Spaceport sign. Look for the breach in the perimeter wall near the sign and frame the opening itself. The walkthrough specifically says the breach should be visible in the image; entering through it is not required for the objective.

Position yourself far enough away to show the damaged section as a recognizable opening rather than a close-up of wall texture. Fire the shutter, then wait for the third photo to register. You can remain on the outside of the perimeter after the objective completes.

4. Enter the Arrival Building and photograph the Security Room

From the perimeter, head north to the Arrival Building. On the building’s northwest exterior is a sealed entrance to the Security Room. Breach the door, enter the room, and photograph the room itself.

This is an interior target, not a doorway target. Point the camera into the Security Room so the room’s interior is visible. A photograph of the approach or the hallway may not count. After the notification confirms completion, leave through the route that offers the best cover and continue toward the open area between the Arrival Building and the Launch Towers.

5. Photograph Port A from ground level

In the open area between the Arrival Building and the Launch Towers, face east toward Port A. Take this photograph from ground level.

Framing is the common problem here. If the objective does not register, move farther back and include the entrance together with enough of the surrounding tower structure to identify the location. Do not climb first; the intended shot is from the ground. Wait for the objective to complete before approaching the western Launch Tower.

6. Climb the western Launch Tower and photograph the Control Room

Enter the western Launch Tower and follow the available ladder and zipline route upward to the Control Room. Photograph the interior of the Control Room once you arrive.

The tower climb is exposed and can draw attention from machines or other Raiders. Move between cover points, keep the climb purposeful, and avoid stopping to fight enemies that are not blocking the route. Under the Launch Tower Loot condition, some zipline doors may require a generator to be powered with a Fuel Cell. If a door or zipline appears inactive, look for the generator interaction before searching for a different route.

Make sure the camera is aimed into the Control Room rather than at the ladder, exterior wall, or connecting hallway. Remain inside until the sixth photo objective registers.

7. Reach the top Launch Platform and take the final photograph

From the Control Room, continue up the stairs and along the upper walkway to the top Launch Platform. The platform is the seventh and final camera target.

ARK: Survival Evolved - Nintendo Switch
  • Capture and Tame Dinosaurs: Discover over 100 different dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures on the island, finding ways to tame them into useful additions for your tribe's dyno herd
  • Survive Above All: Hunger, thirst, basic safety, and protecting yourself from the weather are all part of the game
  • Harvest, Hunt and Build: Cut down trees and turn them into a basic home, which you can quickly expand into a Jurassic estate. Hunt for meat, scavenge for plants (or start your own garden!)
  • Customize Everything: An extensive crafting system invites you to mix and match materials scavenged from the island, while also modifying the colors, textures, shapes, and styles
  • Explore the Island: Solve the mystery of The ARK as you explore this massive island, discovering Explorer's Notebooks (filled with clues!) throughout

Take the photograph and wait for the last objective notification. This confirmation matters: beginning the descent before the final update can leave the quest incomplete even though the image appeared to capture the platform.

How to extract after the final photograph

  1. Verify completion: Open the objective display and make sure all seven photo tasks are complete. Do not begin your escape on the assumption that the shutter sound means registration.
  2. Descend the Launch Tower: Use the stairs and available ziplines to return toward ground level. Retrace the safest usable path rather than jumping from the tower.
  3. Choose an available extraction point: Head to an extraction point shown as available in the current match. Extraction locations and their safety can change, and no route guarantees an uninterrupted departure.
  4. Prioritize survival over extra loot: Once the quest is complete, avoid optional containers and fights that delay extraction. Other Raiders and ARC machines can converge on the tower or extraction zone.
  5. Finish in Speranza: After a successful extraction and return to Speranza, speak with Shani to complete When Everything Falls.

The mission is not complete when the final camera objective appears; it is complete after you survive the extraction and turn the quest in to Shani.

Staying alive on the tower route

Plan around exposure

The Launch Tower is the most vulnerable section of the route. Ladders, ziplines, stairs, and upper walkways can leave you visible for long periods. Approach the tower with your health and mobility resources intact, and identify cover before interacting with a climb point.

Do not clear the map

The practical objective is to photograph and leave. Fighting every machine consumes ammunition, creates noise, and gives other Raiders time to reach the same structure. Engage only when an enemy blocks a doorway, ladder, zipline, or extraction path.

Use objective confirmations as checkpoints

Each successful registration is a safe point in your plan. If a photo does not register, solve the framing problem while you are still near the target rather than discovering the omission after climbing the tower. The route is long enough that returning to a missed booth, bus, or room can turn a manageable run into a failed extraction.

Expect live-match uncertainty

Extraction availability, enemy presence, and encounters vary from match to match. The route landmarks are stable navigation aids, but the safest extraction point in one run may be dangerous or unavailable in the next. Keep an alternate path in mind and leave room on the clock for a detour.

Photo objectives that commonly fail to register

  • Security booth: You may be at the correct T-junction but facing the road instead of the booth. Re-center the small booth in the frame and wait for the update.
  • Perimeter breach: A close wall shot can miss the target. Back away until the opening near the Acerra Spaceport sign is unmistakable.
  • Security Room: Photograph the room after breaching the door. The hallway, sealed entrance, or exterior wall is not the requested subject.
  • Port A: Return to ground level and move farther back so the entrance and surrounding tower structure appear with Port A.
  • Control Room: Step inside and aim at the interior, not the ladder shaft or doorway.
  • Launch Platform: Stay on the platform long enough to see the final objective complete before descending.

If a target still does not register, move to a slightly different angle and ensure the relevant landmark occupies more of the frame. Avoid abandoning the location until the objective list confirms success.

Quest-name ambiguity: when this route is the wrong one

ARC Raiders currently includes another camera-and-extraction quest. PC Gamer’s October 8, 2026 Sizing Things Up guide covers that separate objective chain, which is why a generic search for camera locations can produce conflicting maps and landmarks.

Check the quest name and map before deploying. If your objective mentions Spaceport, Water Towers, the Arrival Building, Port A, or the Launch Towers, use the route in this guide. If it names a different area or asks for a different set of photographs, do not substitute these locations; the two quests are not interchangeable.

Quick pre-deployment and extraction checklist

  • Accept When Everything Falls and take Shani’s Basic Camera.
  • Confirm that the destination is Spaceport.
  • Start at the Water Towers near Alberi Hills.
  • Photograph the booth, reinforced bus, perimeter breach, Security Room, Port A, Control Room, and Launch Platform in that order.
  • Wait for every objective to register before moving on.
  • Carry a Fuel Cell if the Launch Tower Loot condition can disable zipline doors.
  • After the final registration, descend by stairs and ziplines.
  • Use an available extraction point, then speak with Shani in Speranza.
