The fastest way to find an easy Platinum on PlayStation Plus is to combine a current trophy database with a live check of your own PlayStation Plus catalog. Filter first for low difficulty and short estimated completion time, then verify the game is included in your country and membership tier, inspect the exact PS4 or PS5 trophy list, and read a current guide for missables, online requirements, collectibles and difficulty-specific conditions. This avoids the common mistake of trusting an old “easy Platinums” list that no longer matches your catalog or version.
Easy and quick are different filters
A game can be mechanically simple yet take dozens of hours. Another can be short but contain one difficult, missable or online trophy. Treat these as separate judgments:

- Difficulty: how demanding the hardest trophy, combat encounter, puzzle or skill check is.
- Time: the estimated number of hours for all Platinum requirements, including collectibles, grinding and extra playthroughs.
- Reliability: whether the trophy list depends on servers, another player, a one-time decision or a game version that may not match yours.
Keep all three visible while shortlisting. A low difficulty rating is not a promise that the Platinum is short, and a low hour estimate does not guarantee a stress-free run.
Use a trophy database to build a shortlist
Filter by platform, difficulty and hours
Start with a database that exposes both difficulty and time filters, such as PlatPrices’ quick-and-easy Platinum filters. Select the console you own—PS4, PS5 or both—and set a low difficulty ceiling and a short completion-time ceiling. Do not filter on difficulty alone. A useful first pass is to display games rated 1–2 out of 10 and then narrow the results by the shortest estimated hours.

PlatPrices says its ratings are drawn from published trophy guides and warns that estimates can differ by guide and version. Use the results to discover candidates, not as guaranteed completion times. A PS4 and PS5 release can have separate lists, and regional editions can also differ.
Understand what the database counts mean
On its update dated 13 October 2026, PlatPrices listed 1,644 games rated 1 or 2 out of 10 for Platinum difficulty and 842 games estimated at one hour or less. Those figures cover its Malaysia PlayStation Store database; they are not counts of games currently included in PlayStation Plus. They demonstrate how many possible low-effort games exist in the wider store, not what your subscription provides.
When you see a promising result, record the exact title, platform, edition and estimated hours. This prevents you from accidentally downloading a similarly named version with a different trophy list.

Check your country and membership tier
Open the PlayStation Plus hub on your console or the catalog page for your country. Sony’s PlayStation Plus catalog and plans page explains that availability varies by plan and over time, and directs players to the console hub for the complete local lineup. The linked page is US-specific, so do not treat it as proof that a title is available in another market.
Extra generally provides the Game Catalog for download, while Premium includes Extra benefits and adds Classics Catalog access and catalog streaming where supported. The exact games, features and streaming availability depend on region, plan and title. Check the listing attached to your own account rather than relying on a third-party list.
Look for removal dates
Some catalog entries display a date on which they leave the service. Compare that date with the database’s estimated hours, your available play time and any required second run. A game that is easy but estimated at 20 hours may be a poor choice if it leaves in three days. A removal date is also a reason to download or begin promptly, not evidence that the Platinum will remain obtainable after the listing disappears.
Confirm download or streaming access
Check whether your setup supports the access method shown on the game page. Download access and streaming are not interchangeable: streaming is plan- and game-dependent, and some features or connection conditions can affect the experience. If you intend to play offline, ensure the title is downloadable before committing to it.

Inspect the exact trophy list before launching the game
Open the list on your console
- On PS5, open Profile, choose Trophies, and select the game.
- On PS4, open Trophies and select the game.
- Compare the displayed list with the platform and region of the version you plan to install.
PlayStation Support notes that “the number and grades of trophies, and the conditions for earning them, vary from game to game.” Read the individual descriptions instead of assuming that a game with a simple reputation has a simple list. The official explanation of trophy conditions and the console steps is available at PlayStation trophy support.
Distinguish the base-game Platinum from DLC
Look at the trophy grouping and the Platinum requirement. DLC trophy packs often add completion percentages without changing the base-game Platinum. A guide should state whether downloadable content is required for the Platinum itself or only for 100% completion. Do not buy or schedule DLC until that distinction is clear.
Check for separate PS4 and PS5 lists
Some games award a separate Platinum for each console version; others share a list or offer a different set of requirements. A database estimate for one version cannot safely be transferred to the other. Verify the list name, trophy count and guide platform before you start.
Read a current guide for completion blockers
After confirming the list, open a guide written for the same platform and version. Look specifically for the following blockers:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Missable trophies
A missable trophy depends on a one-time decision, a chapter event or an item that cannot be revisited. Mark the required save point or chapter before playing. If the guide recommends a manual backup, follow the platform-specific method it describes. A single missed action can otherwise force a full replay.
Difficulty-specific trophies
Some lists require a particular difficulty, a no-death run or a setting that must be selected at the beginning. Determine whether difficulty trophies stack, whether the setting can be changed mid-game and whether a New Game Plus run is needed. Choose the required setting before your first story mission rather than discovering the condition after finishing.
Collectibles and cleanup
Collectible trophies may be easy but time-consuming. Check whether chapter select, free roam or a post-game cleanup mode exists. If collectibles are permanently missable, follow a chapter-by-chapter checklist. If they carry over between saves, you can safely combine them with other objectives instead of replaying every area.

Online and co-op requirements
Online trophies introduce server and scheduling risk even when the game itself is simple. Check whether servers are still active, whether matchmaking is required, whether a second player can join locally and whether a subscription or separate account is needed. Treat an online requirement as a reliability issue, not merely an extra hour estimate.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Repeated playthroughs and grinding
A guide may describe a Platinum as easy while requiring two story runs, a high-level grind or repeated challenge stages. Note the number of runs and the longest single task. A low-skill game with a 30-hour grind should not be placed in the same “quick” category as a one-hour completion.
Rank candidates with a simple decision method
Once you have verified catalog access and read the list, rank games on four practical measures rather than one headline score:
| Measure | What to record | How it changes your choice |
|---|---|---|
| Catalog status | Country, tier, catalog name and removal date | Reject titles unavailable to your account or leaving before you can finish. |
| Version fit | PS4 or PS5 edition, region and exact list | Use only estimates and guides that match the installed version. |
| Difficulty | Overall guide rating and hardest trophy | Investigate an apparently easy game if one trophy is substantially harder. |
| Time | Hours, number of runs, grind and collectibles | Prefer the shortest realistic route, not the lowest difficulty number. |
| Reliability | Missables, online play, co-op and server health | Favor lists that can be completed solo and offline when certainty matters. |
| Access method | Download or stream and supported devices | Choose the method your connection and hardware can handle consistently. |
You can make the comparison concrete by giving each measure a personal priority from 1 to 5. For example, a player with only a weekend might give time a 5, while a solo player should give online dependence a 5 and reject any title requiring active matchmaking. This is a planning aid, not an official score.
What published time estimates can—and cannot—tell you
Guide-based estimates are useful for ordering games, but they are not laboratory measurements. Your route, skill, accessibility settings, missed collectibles and time spent learning a mechanic can change the result. PlatPrices explicitly says estimates may vary by guide and version, so preserve the platform qualification whenever you write down an hour figure.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteA dated example illustrates the scale: a 2024 Twinfinite list estimated approximately 10–12 hours for each Cat Quest game it discussed. The same article estimated 80–100 combined hours for Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West. Those are that article’s estimates, not independent tests or a statement that the games are currently in your catalog. The list also flags a missable in Dave the Diver, showing why an “easy” label still requires a guide check. See the article at Twinfinite for its original context and date.
Do not convert those examples into current recommendations. Catalog membership changes, and the article’s estimates may not match your edition or play style.

A practical start-to-finish workflow
- Set your constraints. Decide whether you need a one-evening, weekend or multi-week Platinum, and whether online play is acceptable.
- Open a database filter. Use platform, low difficulty and short-time filters together. Keep a shortlist of several titles rather than committing to the first result.
- Verify each title in PlayStation Plus. Use the console hub for your country and tier, record any removal date, and confirm download or streaming support.
- Open the console trophy list. Confirm the game name, platform, region and Platinum trophy. Check whether DLC is separate.
- Read the matching guide. Mark missables, difficulty settings, online or co-op steps, collectibles, repeated runs and the longest grind.
- Choose a safe route. If the game is leaving soon, calculate available hours against the guide estimate and leave time for troubleshooting. Otherwise, select the title with the best balance of time, difficulty and reliability.
- Play with a checklist. Follow chapter or collectible notes as you go; do not assume you can repair every mistake after the ending.
- Confirm the Platinum. Allow the console to sync trophies before deleting the game or changing accounts. If a trophy does not unlock, review its exact condition and the guide’s version notes before replaying content.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Using an old “PS Plus games” article
Lists age quickly because catalog entries rotate. Use an older article only for ideas, then perform the live catalog check and removal-date check yourself.
Confusing store availability with subscription inclusion
A game can be inexpensive to buy yet absent from your catalog, or present in a different plan tier. A trophy database’s store coverage is not evidence of PlayStation Plus inclusion.
Assuming the PS5 version is identical
Separate lists can have different trophy conditions, autopopulation behavior and estimates. Match the guide to the version shown on your console.
Starting before reading missable notes
Even a short game can become long if one chapter-specific action is missed. Read the missables section first and keep the relevant checklist open while playing.
Ignoring online access until the end
Servers, matchmaking populations and co-op partners can be the real bottleneck. Check those requirements before downloading, especially for a title with a removal date.
Treating a one-hour estimate as a guarantee
The 842 one-hour-or-less figure on PlatPrices is a database count based on guide estimates for the Malaysia store, not a promise that every player will finish in an hour or that those games are in PlayStation Plus. Use estimates to compare candidates, then plan for your own pace.

- The game is shown in your country’s PlayStation Plus hub under your exact tier.
- The listing’s removal date, if any, leaves enough time for the estimated route.
- You selected the correct PS4 or PS5 edition and regional trophy list.
- The Platinum does not require DLC you do not own, unless you have deliberately included that cost and time.
- You know every missable, difficulty-specific, online, co-op and collectible requirement.
- You have confirmed whether the game can be downloaded or only streamed on your plan and setup.
- Your estimate includes grinding, second playthroughs and time to recover from mistakes.
Following this process turns “find an easy Platinum” into a verifiable choice: shortlist with current ratings, validate the subscription listing, inspect the exact trophy list and then plan around the requirements that can actually stop completion.
