There is not enough current documentation to name a best OneDrive widget for Android—or to confirm that a OneDrive widget is available on every device. Check your phone or tablet’s widget picker: it shows whether your installed OneDrive app and launcher expose an option on that device.
Does OneDrive currently have an Android home-screen widget?
Microsoft’s current OneDrive mobile support guide covers installing the app, accessing and uploading files, sharing, and camera backup, but does not document an Android home-screen widget. The Microsoft OneDrive Google Play listing describes the Android app and storage plans but likewise does not list a widget.
A Microsoft Q&A response from November 3, 2021 described choosing a OneDrive widget and selecting a folder. That is historical community guidance, not confirmation that the widget or folder behavior remains available in current app versions or on every Android device. The available information therefore does not support a ranked list of current OneDrive widgets.
Check the widget picker on your Android device
Android’s standard widget picker is the practical way to see what your installed apps offer. Google notes that some of its widget instructions apply only to Android 14 and later; names and menus can vary by device.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.
- Camera: 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro). Battery: 5000 mAh, non-removable | A power adapter is NOT included.
- Touch and hold an empty area of the home screen.
- Tap Widgets.
- Find OneDrive in the app list and inspect any options shown.
- If an option suits your needs, touch and hold it, then drag it to the home screen.
- To resize it, touch and hold the placed widget and look for a resize outline. Drag its handles only if the widget supports resizing.
These are Android widget steps, not proof that OneDrive currently provides a widget on your device. Google’s instructions are in Add apps, shortcuts & widgets to your Home screens.
If you see a OneDrive option, check whether it fits your task
The available evidence does not establish a current set of OneDrive widget types or their behavior. If your picker shows one or more options, evaluate what you can observe on your own device:

These are checks, not claims about features every OneDrive widget offers.
If OneDrive is missing from the picker
If the picker has no OneDrive entry or suitable option, the cited current documentation does not establish a supported workaround or an alternative current OneDrive widget. The 2021 community answer is too old to treat as a reliable current procedure. Avoid assuming that a paid plan will add a widget: Microsoft’s listing describes storage plans but does not say that a subscription is required for widget access.

Storage plans are separate from widget availability
Microsoft’s US Google Play listing, retrieved in 2026, says OneDrive starts with 5 GB of free storage and lists 1 TB per person for Microsoft 365 Personal or Family. These are storage details, not widget limits or requirements; listing content and pricing can vary by region. The listing does not connect a paid plan to adding a home-screen widget.
