Find a listed company’s half-yearly results in the Financial Results section of NSE or BSE corporate filings. On NSE, go to Corporate Filings → Financial Results, search by company name or symbol, and filter for the relevant period. SEBI lists the BSE route as Corporates → Corporate Filings → Financial Results. Before comparing figures, match the half-year dates, standalone or consolidated basis, audit status, and accounting framework. For NSE filings for quarters ending March 2025 onward, also check Integrated Filing – Financials.

Where can I find half-yearly results on NSE or BSE?

Start with the exchange’s corporate filings area. SEBI’s investor navigation page identifies these routes:

Exchange Navigation route How to find the filing
NSE Corporate Filings → Financial Results Search by company name or symbol, then filter by period.
BSE Corporates → Corporate Filings → Financial Results Search for the issuer and select the half-year end you need.

On either exchange, identify the filing by its reporting period and period-end date, not just by the company name or the word “half-yearly.” A company’s financial year and reporting dates determine which six-month span a result covers. Confirm the dates printed in the filing before using its figures.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

A reliable search starts with the listed issuer’s exact name or exchange symbol. Once the results are shown, use the period selector or available period filters to narrow the list to the relevant reporting window. Open the filing and verify the dates inside it: a search result is only a way into the document, not a substitute for reading its reporting period. If you are tracking a company over time, note the half-year end dates as well as the financial-year labels so you can see whether each filing covers the intended span.

The NSE and BSE navigation routes are confirmed, but the evidence on BSE does not establish that its current search filters, exports, or displayed filing fields exactly match NSE’s. Use the BSE route to locate the company’s result, then rely on the filing itself for the details you need. Do not assume a feature documented on NSE is also available on BSE.

When an NSE filing is not on the older results page

NSE says results submitted for quarters ending in March 2025 and later are available under Integrated Filing – Financials. If a filing in that period does not appear in the older Financial Results listing, check the integrated page. It displays the quarter end, whether the submission is original or revised, audit status, consolidated or standalone status, document details, XBRL information, broadcast date and time, and revision details.

Use the quarter-end date shown on the filing to decide which NSE page to check. The March 2025 transition date is a useful portal-navigation clue: filings for quarter ends from that point onward are directed to Integrated Filing – Financials. If the older page does not return the filing you expect, that absence alone does not establish that no filing exists; check the integrated page and inspect the available document details.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

This is a portal-navigation distinction: the transition notice concerns where NSE presents filings for those quarter ends. It should not be read as saying that every issuer’s half-yearly filing obligation has become a quarterly one.

What information does an NSE result listing show?

NSE’s Financial Results page includes attributes that help you determine what kind of result you are opening. Check the listing and the underlying filing for:

  • Period and period end: The dates covered by the result and the date at which the reporting period ends.
  • Standalone or consolidated: Whether the figures relate to the company alone or its consolidated reporting scope.
  • Audited or unaudited: The audit status indicated for the result.
  • Accounting standard: The framework identified for the filing, such as Ind-AS or another stated basis.
  • Cumulative or non-cumulative: The result’s presentation basis as identified in the NSE listing.
  • Broadcast time: When the filing was disseminated through the exchange.

These labels answer practical questions before you start comparing figures. The period and period end tell you which reporting window the result covers. Standalone and consolidated indicate different scopes. Audit status and accounting standard identify other characteristics that should be kept visible in a comparison. Cumulative or non-cumulative describes the presentation basis listed by NSE; do not treat rows with different labels as automatically equivalent.

NSE also provides CSV download and XBRL-to-Excel conversion features. These can help when you need to collect figures for a comparison, but treat the downloaded or converted data as a way to work with the filing—not as a substitute for checking the filing’s details and statements. Keep the original filing available so you can confirm that an extracted value belongs to the correct period, reporting scope, and version. If a value in a spreadsheet seems inconsistent with the document, return to the filing and verify it rather than assuming the extraction is authoritative.

How do I compare a company’s half-yearly results?

Build the comparison from filings that cover the same six-month span and use the same reporting scope. The fields shown by the exchange are useful checks; a difference in any one of them can make a simple side-by-side comparison misleading.

  1. Match the reporting dates. Record the start and end dates for each half-year from the filing. Compare the same six-month span across financial years, and do not assume that two filings labelled “half-yearly” cover identical dates.
  2. Match the reporting scope. Compare standalone with standalone, or consolidated with consolidated. Standalone and consolidated results answer different questions and should not be treated as interchangeable.
  3. Check audit status. Note whether each result is audited or unaudited. If the statuses differ, make that distinction visible in your notes rather than presenting the figures as if they have the same status.
  4. Check the accounting framework. Record the standard identified in each filing. If the frameworks differ, investigate the effect before interpreting a change as a business trend.
  5. Use the statements in the filing. Compare the same line items and presentation basis. SEBI says half-yearly results include assets and liabilities as at the half-year end and cash flows for the half-year, in addition to the financial results.
  6. Check for a revised submission. On NSE’s Integrated Filing – Financials page, distinguish original from revised submissions and review the revision details. Use the latest applicable filing for the comparison, while noting that it may have replaced an earlier submission.
  7. Verify extracted figures. If you use NSE’s CSV download or XBRL-to-Excel conversion, compare the figures you extract with the filing details and statements before drawing conclusions.

Make the checks in that order. First identify the right issuer and six-month reporting window. Then align scope and status before comparing numbers. This prevents the common error of seeing different amounts and attributing the entire difference to a change in the business when one filing covers a different period or reporting basis. If an attribute does not match, either find a comparable filing or state the difference clearly and avoid presenting the comparison as like-for-like.

A practical comparison sheet can keep the essential checks together:

Check What to record Why it matters
Period Six-month span and period-end date Prevents comparisons between different reporting windows.
Scope Standalone or consolidated Keeps the reporting entity basis consistent.
Audit status Audited or unaudited Makes differences in the status of the filings apparent.
Accounting basis Standard stated in the filing Flags a potentially important difference in how figures are presented.
Submission status Original or revised, with relevant revision details Helps identify which filing should be used.

For a useful working file, keep each half-year in its own clearly labelled column or row and include the filing date or broadcast time as a reference. Record the relevant status labels beside the numbers, rather than separating them so far that they can be lost when the sheet is sorted or copied. If you use CSV or XBRL conversion, preserve the company, period, scope, and version details alongside the extracted data. That makes it easier to revisit the filing and resolve questions later.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Once those checks align, compare like measures from the statements rather than relying on a headline number or an exchange-page label alone. For balance sheet items, keep in mind that SEBI describes the half-yearly statement as assets and liabilities as at the half-year end; cash flows, by contrast, are for the half-year. Do not mistake a point-in-time balance sheet figure for a six-month flow. This distinction also affects comparisons across periods: a balance-sheet amount belongs to a particular date, while a cash-flow amount relates to an interval. Put the period or date next to each item so the basis stays clear.

When you spot a difference, check the filing attributes before interpreting it. A mismatch in standalone versus consolidated basis, audit status, accounting framework, or cumulative presentation can affect whether the two figures are comparable. A revised filing may also have replaced the version you first opened. The exchange listing helps surface these attributes, but it does not make the interpretation for you. Use the actual statements and keep any unresolved differences visible in your notes.

What should a half-yearly result contain?

SEBI’s 2025 FAQ answers whether balance-sheet and cash-flow statements are required as part of the financial results submitted under the Integrated Filing (Financial) format. It says: “Yes, in terms of regulation 33(3)(f) of the LODR Regulations, the half-yearly disclosure of financial results shall include a statement of assets and liabilities as at the end of the half-year and cash flows for the half-year.”

That distinction helps when you read the filing: assets and liabilities describe the position on the half-year-end date, while cash flows cover the half-year period. Use the corresponding statement for the question you are asking, and compare the same statement and time basis across filings.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

In practice, check that you have opened the statement associated with the correct half-year result and reporting scope. A balance-sheet figure should be read as a position at the stated date; it is not a total accumulated over the six months. A cash-flow figure covers the half-year interval. Keeping those definitions beside your comparison prevents you from placing date-specific amounts and period totals into the same category simply because they appear in one results filing.

How should I interpret filing deadlines and the integrated-filing change?

SEBI’s published LODR regulation text from 2021 states that half-yearly audited or unaudited results are to be submitted within 45 days from the end of the half-year. Because that source is a 2021 text and provisions can be amended or subject to issuer-specific requirements, verify the currently applicable regulation before relying on the deadline for a compliance decision.

Separately, SEBI’s 2025 circular describes timelines for quarterly financial integrated filings: 45 days for financial integrated filing other than the last quarter, and 60 days for the last quarter and financial year. NSE’s transition note says results for quarters ending March 2025 and later are on Integrated Filing – Financials. These quarterly portal and timeline details should not be conflated with every issuer’s separate half-yearly filing obligation.

For a reader locating a result, the main takeaway is to use the page appropriate to the filing period and read the filing’s own dates and status. For a reader checking compliance, the dates above are not a substitute for checking the latest applicable LODR text and any issuer-specific provisions. The 45-day half-yearly figure comes from SEBI’s published 2021 regulation text; the separate 2025 circular figures concern quarterly financial integrated filings. Keep those contexts distinct.

Does an exchange filing mean the figures have been independently verified?

No. NSE says submitted information is uploaded immediately without exchange verification of its adequacy, accuracy, or veracity, and that the company is responsible for errors or misrepresentations in the information. Treat the exchange as the place to locate and access the filing, not as an independent assurance that every figure is correct. Inspect the issuer’s filing, its statements, and any revision details before using the data.

This is why both the filing document and the exchange listing matter. The listing helps you identify period, scope, audit status, and revision metadata; the document supplies the statements you need to read. A portal entry establishes that information was disseminated there, not that NSE independently checked every number. When you find a revised submission, review its revision information and use the latest applicable version while remaining aware that an earlier filing may have been superseded.

Common comparison mistakes to avoid

  • Comparing different periods: “Half-yearly” alone does not prove that two filings cover the same dates.
  • Mixing standalone and consolidated figures: The reporting scopes differ, so a direct comparison can misstate the change.
  • Ignoring audit or accounting labels: Record those attributes rather than assuming they match between periods.
  • Using an earlier version after a revision: Check NSE’s original/revised status and revision information where available.
  • Comparing a balance at period end with a period total: Assets and liabilities are measured as at a date; cash flows cover the half-year.
  • Treating a portal listing as validation: The issuer is responsible for the submitted information, according to NSE’s disclaimer.
  • Assuming the older NSE listing is the only location: For quarter ends from March 2025 onward, check Integrated Filing – Financials when the filing is not shown on the older page.
  • Assuming BSE has NSE’s exact features: SEBI confirms the BSE route, but the identified information does not establish that its filters, exports, or fields are identical to NSE’s.
  • Using extracted data without context: CSV and XBRL-to-Excel tools can help organize information, but verify the extracted figures against the filing and its details.
  • Reading a quarterly timeline as a universal half-year deadline: The 2025 integrated-filing timeline and the half-yearly deadline text address distinct contexts; verify current rules for compliance.

A final check before drawing a conclusion is straightforward: confirm the issuer, the exact half-year dates, the reporting scope, the audit and accounting labels, and whether the filing is original or revised. Then ensure that the statements and measures you compare use the same time basis. If any of those checks cannot be aligned, say so explicitly and treat the comparison cautiously rather than implying the filings are directly equivalent.

How do I compare a company’s half-yearly results?

Compare filings for the same six-month span, and align standalone with standalone or consolidated with consolidated. Record audit status and accounting framework, check whether a filing is revised, and compare the same measures using the statements in the filing.

Are balance-sheet and cash-flow statements part of half-yearly results?

SEBI’s 2025 FAQ says that under LODR Regulation 33(3)(f), half-yearly disclosure includes assets and liabilities as at the end of the half-year and cash flows for the half-year.

Does NSE verify the accuracy of company-uploaded results?

NSE says submitted information is uploaded without exchange verification of adequacy, accuracy, or veracity, and that the company is responsible for errors or misrepresentations. Read the filing and any revision details rather than treating the listing as independent validation.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

What is the half-yearly filing deadline?

SEBI’s published 2021 LODR text states 45 days from the end of the half-year for audited or unaudited results. Since rules can be amended or subject to issuer-specific provisions, check the currently applicable text before relying on that timing for a compliance decision.

Can I compare standalone results with consolidated results?

They represent different reporting scopes and should not be treated as interchangeable. For a like-for-like comparison, use standalone filings for both periods or consolidated filings for both periods.

Can I use NSE CSV or XBRL-to-Excel data directly?

Those features can help organize figures, but verify extracted values against the filing details and statements. Keep the period, scope, status, and revision information attached to the figures.

The Bottom Line

Use the exchange’s Financial Results route to locate the issuer’s filing, then confirm the dates and filing details before comparing figures. Align period, standalone or consolidated scope, audit and accounting status, and original or revised version. For NSE quarter ends from March 2025 onward, check Integrated Filing – Financials if needed. Read the statements themselves: assets and liabilities are as at the half-year end, while cash flows cover the half-year. An exchange listing makes the filing accessible but is not independent verification of its accuracy.
