To file an Asurion phone claim, use the claim route for the carrier or retailer that provides your protection plan—not a generic form chosen at random. Report what happened, review the deductible and available options, submit any requested documents, and track the claim through the official portal. Depending on your plan and claim, the outcome may be repair, replacement, or reimbursement.
Before you start an Asurion phone claim
Find the carrier or retailer and the exact protection plan covering the phone. Check your account, bill, or plan documents if you are unsure. Asurion’s claim portal asks customers to select their provider and can be used to start, manage, or track a claim.
Have the account and device information requested by the portal ready. Some claims may also require documents to verify the account. The person filing may need to be authorized on the wireless account: for Verizon, an account owner or account manager must validate the account and pay the applicable deductible.

- Open the right claim route. Start from Asurion’s provider-selection page or follow the claim link for your carrier’s protection plan. Verizon customers can also file through My Verizon or by phone; AT&T and T-Mobile provide their own claim routes.
- Describe the incident. Explain what happened and when, then answer the plan’s eligibility questions. The claim process uses those details to determine which remedies may be available.
- Check the deductible or service fee. Review the amount shown for your device and plan before proceeding. There is no universal deductible for all Asurion phone claims.
- Submit requested information. Upload any documents the official claim portal requests for account verification or claim review.
- Review the options and follow the instructions. Depending on the plan and claim, the available result may be a repair, replacement, or reimbursement. The choices shown for your claim—not a general expectation—determine what you can select.
- Track the claim. Use the carrier’s or Asurion’s official tracking route. Follow the timeline displayed for your claim; processing and shipping schedules vary by program.
What determines your deductible and claim outcome?
The deductible depends on the enrolled plan and device, and may also depend on the type of claim. Asurion’s Verizon page asks for device and plan information to estimate the deductible. Its Mobile Protect claim page directs customers to begin a claim to see the exact deductible and confirm repair eligibility. AT&T describes its deductible as non-refundable, but the cited support page does not establish one dollar amount for every device or claim.

Repair, replacement, and reimbursement are possible outcomes, not guaranteed choices. Eligibility and the options presented depend on the plan and reported issue. For example, a screen repair may be available under AT&T’s program only when the claim qualifies. Check the terms and choices shown in your own claim flow before paying a fee or making arrangements.
Carrier-specific claim instructions
Verizon
Start through Asurion’s Verizon claim page, My Verizon, or the phone route listed by Verizon. An account owner or account manager must validate the account and pay the applicable deductible. For a missing phone, Asurion advises temporarily suspending service and considering Lost Mode. In this Verizon context, approved Asurion repairs or replacements carry a 12-month limited warranty; replacement devices may be new or refurbished and can differ in model or parts. Check the terms that apply to your enrolled plan.

AT&T
Use AT&T’s device protection claim instructions or the claim route listed there. AT&T says claims for its program must be filed within 60 days of the loss or damage. That deadline is specific to the cited AT&T program and should not be assumed to apply to other Asurion-administered plans. The deductible is non-refundable, and repair options are available only when eligible.

Follow T-Mobile’s device protection claim instructions, which route customers through the T-Mobile account flow to the claims site. The page distinguishes AppleCare handling for accidental damage from the route for loss or theft. Confirm the instructions and coverage for the plan currently enrolled on your line.

What to do if your phone is lost or stolen
Start the claim through the provider associated with your protection plan and follow that provider’s instructions for loss or theft. For a Verizon claim, Asurion advises temporarily suspending service and considering Lost Mode for the missing device. Do not assume the same steps or deadline apply to another carrier; check its claim guidance and your plan documents.

- Deductibles or service fees by device and claim type.
- Filing deadlines and eligibility rules.
- Whether repair is available and what the plan says about turnaround.
- Replacement condition and model terms.
- Claim limits and any device-return obligations in the coverage certificate.
- Support included beyond repair or replacement.
Do not treat a carrier’s terms as universal Asurion terms. The governing plan documents and the options shown for your claim are the relevant basis for eligibility, fees, and fulfillment.
