If searching is not worth the raid time or risk for your current project, check Celeste’s vendor screen; PC Gamer reported that 24 Seeds covered the materials needed for the Sheltered Retreat project, although that is not a universal per-item price.
What is the fastest way to find sheet metal?
The most efficient reported method is a focused industrial-area sweep. Choose a route that fits your spawn and extraction plan, search the named containers in a fixed order, and leave once you have enough for the active project rather than extending a run through unrelated areas.
There are two practical options:
- Farm it: Search loose loot and industrial containers in Commissary Supermarket, Old Town, Almatera Station or Loading Bay.
- Buy it: Check Celeste and spend Seeds when the purchase saves more time or risk than another raid.
Loot is random. The locations below are guide-reported priorities, not guaranteed spawns or official drop-rate tables. The best route is therefore the one that puts several relevant containers close to your normal movement and extraction path.
Where to farm sheet metal on Pendola Pass
1. Commissary Supermarket
Begin with the supermarket shelves. Current route guides identify them as the first Pendola Pass target for sheet metal. Move shelf by shelf rather than opening random containers across the entire building; the objective is a quick, repeatable sweep that lets you decide early whether to continue.

After the shelves, check other visible industrial-style loot points in the building, including tables, lockers and tool trolleys when they are on your route. These are examples of places where guides report finding loose materials; they are not guaranteed sheet-metal spawns.
2. Old Town
Use Old Town as the second Pendola Pass option when the supermarket is empty, too far from your insertion point, or already occupied. Prioritize exposed loose loot and containers that can be checked without committing to a long detour. Cars, crates and lockers are worth checking when they are encountered naturally.
3. Almatera Station
Almatera Station is another reported Pendola Pass location. Treat it as a continuation of the same industrial-search strategy: inspect train seats, nearby tables, lockers and containers before moving on. The station is a useful alternative when your spawn or extraction direction already takes you there.

Where to farm sheet metal on Stella Montis
Loading Bay route
An ARC Raiders Hub guide updated October 12, 2026 calls Loading Bay on Stella Montis its fastest sheet-metal farm. The suggested approach is direct: go to Loading Bay and search the shelves in open shipping containers and the breachable containers in the area.
The same guide reports that a player named Nafburger collected 61 sheet metal in one raid. That is a single reported run, not an average, a guaranteed haul or a published drop rate. Use it as evidence that the area can produce a large haul, not as a quota to expect every time.
How to run Loading Bay efficiently
- Set Loading Bay as your first objective when your insertion point and planned extraction make the detour sensible.
- Search shelves in open shipping containers in a consistent direction so you do not repeatedly check the same container.
- Open the breachable containers after the open containers; this keeps the fastest checks first and reduces time spent deciding what to search next.
- Keep only the amount needed for the current project or the amount your extraction plan can safely carry. The reported 61-item haul demonstrates possibility, not a requirement to stay longer.
- Leave through the extraction route you selected before entering the area. Do not turn a successful material run into an unnecessary second objective.
Because the guide’s result came from one player’s raid, it cannot establish that Loading Bay is faster in every match. Compare it with your own route time, contest level and survival rate rather than assuming the anecdotal number is typical.
What containers and loot spots should you check?
Guides consistently associate sheet metal with technological and industrial environments. Search the following when they are on a chosen route:
- Shelves, especially in supermarkets and shipping containers
- Open shipping containers
- Breachable containers
- Tables
- Train seats
- Cars
- Crates
- Lockers
- Tool trolleys
These are search categories, not guaranteed spawn points. A location can be valuable because it contains many checks close together, even when any one check can be empty.
Areas to skip when sheet metal is the only objective
One current route guide advises skipping nature spots and research-facility machines for sheet metal. That advice is about efficiency: those areas do not match the industrial and loose-loot pattern reported by the guides. Visit them only when another mission or resource makes the detour worthwhile.
How to plan a sheet-metal raid step by step
Before deployment
- Read the project requirement. Note the quantity you actually need so you can stop when the objective is complete.
- Choose one primary location. Use Commissary Supermarket on Pendola Pass or Loading Bay on Stella Montis when the route fits your spawn.
- Pick a fallback. On Pendola Pass, Old Town and Almatera Station are the practical alternatives. Do not add every location automatically; a longer route increases time spent exposed without a documented guarantee of more metal.
- Decide your extraction direction. Select a route that lets you leave after the first productive sweep. Exact extraction choices depend on your match and are not specified in the available guides.
- Set a stop rule. Stop when the project quantity is secured, when your inventory is becoming a liability, or when reaching the next location would take you away from extraction.
During the search
- Search industrial containers and visible loose loot before wandering into unrelated buildings.
- Use a fixed pattern through each room or container cluster. Consistency prevents missed shelves and duplicate checks.
- Record which locations actually produced metal for you. Since no controlled drop-rate data is available, your own run history is more useful than treating a guide’s single haul as a benchmark.
- Keep your route short when the area is contested or when the next check requires a major detour. The guides do not quantify raid risk, so make this a situational decision rather than an assumed percentage.
- Extract as soon as the stop rule is met.
After extraction
Apply the material immediately to the active project if possible. If the quantity is short, keep the next run focused on the same industrial route instead of switching to nature locations or research-facility machines that a guide specifically excludes from its sheet-metal recommendation.

Celeste provides an in-game alternative when you prefer to spend Seeds instead of spending time searching. PC Gamer’s October 9, 2026 guide says players could spend 24 Seeds to buy the materials needed for the Sheltered Retreat project. The wording ties that number to the project’s described purchase total; it does not establish a permanent price for one sheet-metal unit or prove that the same amount applies to every project.
Open the current vendor screen and the active project before committing Seeds. Vendor inventory, prices and project requirements can change, and the available reporting does not verify a universal current price.

- Check both when the vendor quantity is unclear. Compare the current Celeste screen with the quantity still missing, then choose the option that completes the project with less exposure to an unsuccessful run.
Common mistakes and how to correct them
Expecting a guaranteed container
Symptom: You search one shelf or locker, find nothing and assume the route is broken.
Correction: Treat every listed spot as a chance to roll loot. Search the full cluster of industrial containers and loose-loot points before judging the location.

Symptom: You stay in Loading Bay until you match the reported haul.
Correction: The 61 sheet metal figure is one player’s reported raid from the ARC Raiders Hub guide. Set your stop rule from your project requirement and extraction plan, not from that anecdote.
Confusing the Seeds figure with a unit price
Symptom: You calculate every future purchase as 24 Seeds per sheet metal.
Correction: The 24 Seeds report concerns the materials needed for Sheltered Retreat. Recheck Celeste and the project panel for the current quantity and price.

Correction: Redirect the run toward shelves, containers and other industrial loot. The route reporting specifically recommends skipping those non-industrial targets for sheet metal.
Overextending after a good find
Symptom: You have enough metal but continue to another map location and lose the haul.
Correction: Extract once the active requirement is covered or the next stop would take you away from your planned exit. The guides do not provide a risk model, so preservation of a completed haul should take priority over an unmeasured extra yield.

The recent guides agree on the broad pattern: industrial areas and loose loot are the right search category, with Commissary Supermarket, Old Town, Almatera Station and Loading Bay as practical route targets. They do not provide official spawn documentation, a controlled sample, an average haul, a time-per-item measurement or a guaranteed container location.
The route advice is therefore best used as a starting map for your own repeatable runs. Track the locations you can reach quickly, the number of containers you check before extraction and how often you complete the project. That personal record can tell you which route is efficient for your spawn and play style without turning an isolated guide result into a promise.
