The most efficient way to build your Summoners Greed currency stock depends on which currency you actually need. Purple Gems, Green Orbs, Mythical Gems, and event Summoning Stones are not interchangeable, and current evidence does not establish a fastest map or reliable per-hour yield. Spend Purple Gems first on upgrades that improve repeated play, use event screens to confirm Summoning Stone costs, and compare routes in your own current version rather than relying on old reward tables.
Identify the currency before you farm
“Gems” can mean several things in Summoners Greed. Before replaying a stage or spending a stockpile, check the currency name shown in the game and the specific summon, upgrade, or event screen that uses it. The Google Play listing describes the game as awarding offline gold, gems, and other resources, but those broad labels do not make every currency suitable for the same purpose.

Spend Purple Gems where they improve future runs
A community beginner guide recommends using Purple Gems on permanent Double Monster Damage and Double Coins upgrades first. Its practical logic is that an upgrade that helps with later progression or coin collection can continue to matter across many runs, while a one-off expense is consumed immediately. The guide then places energy refills and rock resummons after those shop upgrades, and warns against using Purple Gems for summons.

This is player strategy, not an official spending rule or a universal account prescription. Your best order depends on what you have unlocked and what is slowing you down. If you already own the suggested upgrades, have no immediate use for a refill, or are pursuing a different goal, the guide’s sequence may not be right for you. Consider the recommendation as an order of operations to evaluate, not a rule that overrides your account’s needs.
A practical spending check
- Check the permanent shop upgrades. If Double Monster Damage or Double Coins is still available, consider whether it would materially help your current progression or repeat farming before buying a temporary benefit. The case for an upgrade is strongest when its effect will apply to many future runs, rather than a single attempt.
- Match the next spend to the bottleneck. Consider an energy refill only if energy is actually limiting the runs you intend to make. Consider a rock resummon only when it serves your current setup rather than as an automatic purchase. If neither addresses what is holding you back, keep the Gems instead of spending them by habit.
- Keep a reserve for your stated goal. If you are saving for an event or another specific use, do not spend just because an option is available. The community guide’s warning against Purple Gem summons is a useful default for players following its upgrade-first strategy, but your goals determine whether to depart from it.
- Reassess after a major unlock. A purchase that was valuable earlier may matter less once you have the upgrade or access you wanted. Check the shop and your progression again before repeating a spending pattern out of routine.

Before spending time farming, open the live event interface and check the current cost, the relevant event, and whether the summon you want is currently available. Event-specific costs and availability are exactly the kind of details that can make a route plan obsolete.

If you are starting with little currency, first confirm the event goal and price, then decide how much time you are willing to spend testing routes. A remembered tip can be a useful candidate, but it cannot tell you whether the stage is unlocked on your account, whether its reward has changed, or how long its current version takes you. Likewise, a Watcher offer is an opportunity to evaluate when it appears, not a guaranteed income stream to include in every run’s expected reward.
How to test a candidate route
- Confirm it rewards the currency you need. Check the result screen or the current offer text rather than inferring a reward from a route name or an old comment. A map reward in Green Orbs, for example, should not be counted as Summoning Stones.
- Record a complete attempt. Note the currency gained, active time spent, time needed to restart or reset, and whether you completed the intended waves or stage. Include loading or setup time if it is a meaningful part of repeating the route.
- Separate guaranteed rewards from conditional ones. Log a Watcher offer or ad reward separately from the route’s base reward; an offer that does not appear on every attempt cannot be counted as guaranteed yield. Record whether you actually accepted it and what action it required.
- Repeat the check. Run enough attempts to see whether timing, success, or offer availability varies. A single unusually quick clear is not a dependable rate. Track failures too, because a route that is fast only when it succeeds may be less useful than a slower, reliable clear.
- Compare like with like. Use the same game version, difficulty, play style, and reward assumptions for each route. Recheck after updates that alter stages or difficulty.
- Write down the date and version. A short note such as route, difficulty, version, completion status, currency gained, and minutes spent is enough to make later comparisons meaningful. Without the version, a remembered result can be mistaken for a current one.
This method can identify what works for your account and current version without turning anecdotal tips into universal promises. It also helps answer the question behind “What’s the fastest way to farm Summoning Stones?”: fastest for which currency, on which unlocked content, at what success rate, and with which conditional rewards counted?
Choose between a short replay and a full map by measuring the trade-off
A short segment can be appealing if it is quick to restart, while a full map may offer completion rewards or useful side resources. Neither is automatically more efficient: the answer depends on the reward you are targeting, how long each attempt takes, and whether failed or partial runs pay out. Count the time spent in the run and restarting it; record completion rewards separately from wave or partial-run rewards. If ads or Watcher offers are involved, report their availability and rewards separately. Also note unlock requirements and side resources, since a slightly slower route can still be useful if it advances progression or yields something else you need. A route that looks good when only its best reward is counted may perform differently once reset time, retries, and conditions are included.

- Short replay: Test when the segment is reliably quick and resets are inexpensive in time. Do not assume a familiar sequence remains fastest after balance changes. Record whether you can repeat it consistently, not just how fast one attempt went.
- Full-map completion: Test when a completion reward or side resource is part of your goal. Include the full clear time and any failed attempts in your comparison. If you leave a map early, note exactly which rewards you retain and which you forgo.
- Reward offer: Take an available offer only after checking its stated reward and the time or ad action it requires. Keep it distinct from repeatable map income. If the offer is optional, compare the extra time or action against its specific reward rather than bundling it into a stage’s base rate.
- Idle play: The Google Play listing describes offline gold, Gems, and resources, but that store description does not establish the exact amount or availability of a particular currency from a particular route. Confirm the result in your own account rather than applying an unstated offline rate.
- Progression value: If one option also helps unlock content or improves your ability to clear later stages, note that benefit separately. Do not label it a faster currency farm unless the currency comparison itself supports that conclusion.
Keep separate totals for the base map reward, any completion bonus, ad-related rewards, Watcher offers, and side resources. That gives you a useful comparison even if your goal changes later. For example, a player saving only one currency can ignore unrelated side rewards; someone who needs both a currency and progression may decide a longer run is worthwhile. These are personal trade-offs, not a universal ranking.
Use Joint Revenge as a test candidate, not a guaranteed current yield
Community advice has pointed players toward Joint Revenge: an older community beginner guide recommends replaying it when stuck and describes it as a resource-farming map. A separate community FAQ lists 234 Green Orbs for Joint Revenge on Easy, Hard, and Nightmare. That figure is historical community data from a FAQ about four years old, not an official current reward guarantee, and it is not a per-hour rate.
If Joint Revenge is available to you, check the live reward screen at the difficulty you can reliably clear. Compare its completion reward and run duration with other available options, and include retries or reset time. Do not assume the old 234-Orb entry applies to the current version or to every difficulty, player, or run. In particular, a listed total tells you nothing by itself about how quickly a run can be completed or whether you will clear it consistently.

Keep up with map and event changes
Route advice can age quickly when stage structure or difficulty changes. The US App Store version history lists version 1.108.17 dated September 30, 2026. Its notes report new waves on Ice Queen’s Storm, Volcano Goddess’s Eruption, and Kami Pantheon’s Reckoning, as well as lower difficulty for Normal maps after Joint Revenge and for Hard and Nightmare maps. The notes also report other balance adjustments. Changes to waves, difficulty, or balance can alter clear times and failure rates, so a route ranking based on an earlier version may no longer describe your runs.
The Google Play listing showed an update date of September 11, 2026, while the cited US App Store history lists version 1.108.17 on September 30. Store dates can differ by platform and listing; use the version and live map behavior in your own game when judging a route. Date any notes you keep, and retest after updates that affect waves, difficulty, or rewards. Even when a patch does not explicitly mention a reward, a change in run length or success rate can change the practical return per active minute.
For route notes, record the platform or version shown on your device, the map and difficulty, and the date you tested. A table without that context can be misleading months later. Avoid carrying forward a “best” route label just because it was once convenient; treat it as a hypothesis to retest when your unlocked content, team, stage layout, or game version changes.
Manage Mythical Gems around the banner reset
A developer-posted update from March 2026 describes two different Mythical pity behaviors: total Mythical pity carries over to the next event, but the selected guaranteed Mythical is tied to the active banner and resets when that event ends. In practical terms, a carried pity total does not preserve a selected target after banner close.
If you are saving Mythical Gems for a particular guaranteed Mythical, check the active banner and its end time before committing. Make sure the desired target is selected on the banner where you intend to use the guarantee, and do not assume the selection will remain in place for the next event. Track the target and the pity count as separate facts: knowing that total pity carries does not tell you that your target choice will carry too.
This timing question is different from farming Summoning Stones for Special Monsters. The two currencies serve different summon goals, so a decision to save one does not answer what to do with the other. Before an event ends, review what is selected and what remains available in the current interface; do not wait for the next banner assuming both settings will persist.
