In Aion 2, “diamonds” means Diamond Gemstone, the crafting material gathered from Gem nodes—not the game’s Kina/Kinah currency. The efficient approach is to choose an accessible region, filter a current community map for Diamond Gemstone, run a short loop through dense clusters, and verify every marker in the live client. Map markers are guides rather than guarantees: shared nodes may already be occupied or on a respawn cycle, and no published source establishes a universal diamonds-per-hour route.
The method below gives you a repeatable way to farm for either handicrafting materials or Market sales while measuring the route on your own server instead of relying on disputed map totals or assumed drop rates.

Diamond Gemstone is a gathering material
The AION 2 gathering database categorizes Diamond as a Gem node and lists a mastery requirement of level 1. Interacting with a Diamond node can produce one of four database-listed outcomes: Diamond Gemstone, Fine Diamond Gemstone, Pure Diamond Gemstone, or Radiant Diamond Gemstone. The database does not establish a percentage chance for each grade, so treat all four as possible results rather than promising yourself a particular grade.

Do not confuse gemstones with currency
Diamond Gemstone occupies your material inventory and is used in crafting. Kina (the spelling used by the global-client guide) or Kinah (a spelling used by other guides) is the game currency. A Kina farming guide, such as this terminology reference, discusses currency income rather than Diamond nodes; a separate currency overview uses “Kinah” at Aion 2 Help. Neither currency activity substitutes for gathering Diamond Gemstone. If your objective is money, gather the gemstone first and then use the live Market to decide whether selling it makes sense.
How Diamond Gemstone gathering works
Find Gem nodes, not a special “diamond farm” activity
Diamond is a node type within the normal gathering system. The level-1 mastery listing means the database does not require a high mastery threshold before you can attempt the node. It does not mean every character receives the same grade, quantity, or speed. The available evidence supports identifying the node and collecting its result; it does not support a fixed yield, guaranteed rare grade, or universal cooldown.
Understand the four listed grades
| Database-listed outcome | How to use the information |
|---|---|
| Diamond Gemstone | Keep it when a recipe calls for the base grade, or evaluate it on your server’s Market if you are selling. |
| Fine Diamond Gemstone | Record it separately during a test run so you know which grades your route actually produces. |
| Pure Diamond Gemstone | Retain it when a handicrafting recipe requires the higher grade; do not assume it is guaranteed. |
| Radiant Diamond Gemstone | Treat it as a possible result, not a promised drop or a fixed percentage of your haul. |
The four names come from the gatherable database. Because no drop-rate study is supplied, your own run log is the only reliable way to learn the grade mix on your character, server, and current client version.

Where to farm: use a map as a route planner
Start with the region your character can actually enter
Pick the accessible region for your faction and level rather than selecting a location solely because an external map shows many pins. The practical choice is the region where you can travel, gather, and return to town without spending most of the session on detours. Verteron and Altgard have substantial community coverage, while another map also reports additional regions; the exact live distribution changes as map editors add or remove observations.
What the two published maps show
| Map publisher and date | Verteron markers | Altgard markers | Scope and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aion2 Atlas, 2026 | 156 | 200 | 356 Diamond Gemstone vein markers; community-sourced data with shared, respawning nodes. |
| AllThingsHow, 2026 | 192 | 200 | 392 mapped locations in the page’s coverage, with additional regions reported. |
These are map-dataset counts, not an authoritative count of live objects in the game. The Verteron totals differ by 36 markers, while Altgard matches in the two listings. The difference can come from coverage, duplicate or removed observations, or different update timing. Do not add the two datasets together, convert a marker count into expected loot, or present either total as the number of nodes you will find during a run.
Filter for Diamond and favor clusters
Open a current regional map, enable its Diamond or Diamond Gemstone layer, and zoom in until individual markers and terrain are readable. Plan a loop that connects several nearby markers before returning to a central waypoint. A cluster is useful because it reduces travel time between gathering attempts; it is not proof that every pin is active. If a map offers faction or region filters, apply them before planning so inaccessible markers do not distort your route.
A repeatable Diamond Gemstone farming loop
- Set your goal. Decide whether you need a particular grade for a handicrafting recipe or whether you are gathering saleable material. Write down the target before starting; it determines what you keep and how you judge the run.
- Prepare an empty inventory. Leave enough space for all four Diamond Gemstone grades and any other items your gathering trip may produce. Sorting by item name or grade after every node makes later counting easier.
- Select one accessible region. Use Verteron, Altgard, or another region shown by a current map only if your character can reach its markers. Starting in the nearest practical region usually gives you more gathering time per session than a long transfer to a theoretically denser area.
- Build a short loop from a cluster. Choose several adjacent pins, a recognizable starting point, and a return path. Avoid drawing a route that crosses the entire map on its first test; a compact loop gives cleaner timing and makes missing nodes easier to diagnose.
- Check the first marker in the client. Move to the location, look for the Gem node, and verify that the interaction identifies the Diamond resource. If the object is absent, occupied, or a different resource, mark that result in your notes and continue rather than waiting indefinitely.
- Gather every available Diamond node in the loop. Record the grade or grades received after each interaction. Do not assume that a pin guarantees a node, that a node produces the same grade every time, or that two adjacent pins represent separate live objects.
- Keep moving when a marker fails. Shared nodes can be unavailable when you arrive. Follow the next pin, then return to the missing location only if your route timing shows that doing so is worthwhile. There is no verified respawn interval to use as a universal waiting rule.
- Finish at the starting point and count. Note elapsed time, markers actually present, total Diamond Gemstone items, and the number of each grade. A loop you can repeat consistently is more useful than a long route whose pins are mostly stale.
Choose your route by the reason you are farming
If you are crafting accessories
Diamond Gemstone is listed as a material for handicrafting accessories in an item database: the Diamond Gemstone material entry. Check the exact recipe in your crafting interface before selling anything. Keep the grades and quantities the recipe names, and place surplus grades in separate stacks so an accidental sale does not consume your crafting stock.

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchFor a crafting project, the efficient route is the one that supplies the required grade with the least travel and inventory sorting. A route with fewer total nodes can be better than a larger circuit if it produces the material you need and lets you return to crafting sooner. Since no grade probabilities are established, run enough loops to observe your own results before deciding how much material to reserve.
If you are gathering to sell
Check your server’s Market immediately before listing. The AION2 Market catalogue says it was checked against the official Global EU catalogue on 5 October 2026, but it also warns that its lowest listed prices are not confirmed sales or real-time prices and that its coverage is partial: AION2 Market database. Use it as a reference, not as a promise of revenue.
Price each grade separately and note whether current listings are abundant or sparse. A low displayed price does not tell you how quickly an item sells, how many units are actually available, or whether another seller will undercut you. Your own realized sale price, after any in-game fees, is the meaningful figure for a profit calculation.
Measure efficiency on your own server
No sourced apples-to-apples test compares Verteron with Altgard by diamonds per hour. There is also no verified universal respawn interval or personal gameplay test establishing a best farm. You can still make a sound decision by running the same short loop more than once and recording comparable observations.
| Metric | How to record it | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Elapsed route time | Start the timer at the first marker and stop when you return to the start. | Shows the travel cost of the loop. |
| Markers present | Count Diamond nodes you could actually interact with. | Reveals how much map coverage is currently usable. |
| Items by grade | Count Diamond, Fine, Pure, and Radiant results separately. | Matches your crafting requirement or sale plan. |
| Unavailable markers | Record pins that were empty, occupied, or a different resource. | Prevents a stale map from inflating your expectations. |
| Realized sale value | Use completed sales on your server rather than the lowest displayed listing. | Measures income without treating an asking price as revenue. |
After several comparable loops, calculate your own average items per minute or useful-grade items per hour. Label the result with the region, date, character, and route so you do not mistake a busy or unusually empty session for a permanent rate. If you change regions, weather, server population, or route length, start a new comparison rather than merging incompatible observations.

Dealing with shared and missing nodes
Aion2 Atlas describes its markers as community sourced and notes shared, respawning nodes. A shared node may be visible to another player first, may have disappeared before you arrive, or may return later. The map therefore answers “where has a node been observed?” rather than “which node is guaranteed for me right now?”
- Move to the next nearby marker instead of standing at an empty pin.
- Use a loop with alternatives so one unavailable node does not end the run.
- Mark consistently missing locations in your personal notes, but do not assume a single absence proves permanent removal.
- Recheck the route on another session before deleting a marker from your plan.
- Compare actual nodes present, not just the number of pins shown by a website.
Because no source verifies a fixed respawn timer, avoid scheduling a route around a claimed five-minute, ten-minute, or other interval. Time your own revisits if you want to test a location, and treat the result as a local observation rather than a game-wide rule.
Common mistakes and fixes
Searching for currency instead of the gemstone
If a guide sends you toward quests, monsters, or other Kina/Kinah activities, it is answering a different question. Return to a Gem node map and confirm the item name in your inventory.

The two 2026 map datasets disagree on Verteron and differ in scope. A larger published total can reflect broader mapping rather than more live nodes. Test a compact cluster and compare markers present and useful grades per minute.
Waiting for every pin
Shared nodes can be unavailable. Chasing one empty marker increases travel time and gives you no additional material. Continue the loop, then revisit only when your own timing indicates that a return is productive.
Selling every grade immediately
Higher or different grades may be required by your accessory recipe. Check the recipe first, reserve the needed amount, and sell only the surplus.
Calling a listing price profit
A catalogue’s lowest listed price is not a confirmed sale and may not be current. Track completed sales on your server and include any fees before judging the route.

Promising a guaranteed yield
The database lists four possible outcomes but supplies no drop-rate table. Report your observed grade mix for your own run; do not advertise a fixed chance or guaranteed Radiant result.
A practical decision framework
| Your priority | Route decision | What to track |
|---|---|---|
| Specific accessory recipe | Choose the shortest accessible cluster and keep the recipe’s named grades. | Useful-grade items per loop and remaining recipe quantity. |
| Maximum material volume | Test a larger cluster only after a compact loop proves reliable. | Nodes present, total items, and travel time. |
| Market sales | Use the region that gives the best observed saleable output, not the highest map pin count. | Completed sale price, fees, and time to sell. |
| Low-risk exploration | Start with a short route near a return point and add branches gradually. | Missing markers and time lost to detours. |
Build and maintain your personal route
Save the map link you used and date your notes. Community coverage changes, and the two published maps already demonstrate that marker totals are not identical. When a patch, faction-access change, or map update occurs, scout the first loop again instead of assuming every pin and path remains valid.
A useful route sheet can contain the marker order, a landmark or waypoint description, whether the node was present, the grade received, and the time taken to reach the next point. Keep the sheet factual: “node absent on this run” is more useful than labeling a pin permanently broken after one visit. Over several sessions, remove dead travel segments, add reliable nearby alternatives, and keep crafting reserves separate from sale stock.
Bottom line: the efficient method
Farm Diamond Gemstone by gathering Gem nodes, starting with a level-1-compatible route in an accessible region, and using current map clusters as navigation aids rather than guarantees. Verify each marker in game, keep the grades your handicrafting recipe needs, and judge selling routes from completed Market results. Because published map counts, live node availability, grade outcomes, and prices can vary, the most defensible “best route” is the short loop that your own timed runs show to be reliable.
