The Objectives menu is a more dependable progress marker than a chapter number. PowerPyx’s walkthrough uses headings that match the game’s objective text, and says the save file also shows the higher-level objective. Check that text when consulting a guide so you are matching the right part of the game rather than relying on an assumed chapter or location name.
This distinction matters when you pause a playthrough and return later. A broad label such as “the next section” may not tell you which side routes you have already cleared, and a guide’s location headings are useful only if they correspond to the objective currently displayed in your game. Before moving, note both the objective wording and the items you have confirmed. If you cannot tell whether a room belongs to your current objective or the next one, stop at the boundary and verify the objective before proceeding.

The warning is about access, not a guarantee that every missed object is permanently lost in every circumstance. The practical choice is still to behave as if leaving could lock you out: the guide reports no Chapter Select, and the sources do not establish a dependable recovery method for missed items. Do not plan a completion run around a presumed replay menu or a save reload that has not been tested for your situation.
Use this area-by-area sweep
- Read the current objective. Open the Objectives menu and note its wording. Keep that objective visible or write it down if you are following a location guide. If you take a break, save the objective alongside your item checklist so you can resume from the correct guide section.
- Follow the main route until you reach a transition or apparent exit. Do not move on immediately. The missability warning applies to items left behind, so regard an exit as a reason to search, not as proof that the area is complete. If the game presents an obvious way forward, pause before using it and ask whether you have checked the current space and its branches.
- Retrace branches and inspect the space. Check any side paths, alternate corridors, puzzle spaces, and rooms you passed quickly. Look over accessible surfaces and containers rather than assuming every collectible is on the main path. These are practical sweep targets, not a claim that every item type has a confirmed spawn location in each one.
- Resolve nearby blockers before leaving. If a gate, statue, or puzzle is holding up progress, inspect the surrounding area for the missing piece or environmental clue. Use the Genesis Configuration as part of the puzzle rather than treating it as a combat-only or decorative object.
- Update your own checklist. Mark confirmed firearms, recipes, and pillars as you find them. Notes and documents can be collected for lore, but the PowerPyx collectible guide says they are not required for trophies. Keep story documents in a separate optional list if you want to collect them without confusing them with the trophy-related count.
- Only then advance the objective. If you are unsure whether a side route is complete, backtrack now. Do not assume a later menu, Chapter Select, or repeatable area will let you return.
A useful habit is to make the sweep a short, repeatable routine rather than trying to remember every corner later. On arriving in an area, identify its visible branches and locked or puzzle-blocked routes. Follow the objective far enough to understand the space, then return to any branch you skipped. When a puzzle opens a new path, inspect the newly accessible space before using the next exit. At the end, compare your confirmed finds with your checklist and the matching guide heading.
That routine does not require searching every pixel or assuming that every cupboard is a collectible spawn. The aim is to check plausible routes and inspect the objects and puzzle spaces the game draws attention to, especially before an area change. When you cannot verify an item from memory, leave it unmarked rather than counting it as collected. A checklist that distinguishes “confirmed” from “not yet checked” is more useful than a rough total.

What counts toward the collectible total
PowerPyx reports 27 trophy-related collectibles in its October 8, 2026 guide. This is the guide’s count, not a developer-published statistic. Its categories are:

Decide whether you are following a trophy checklist, exploring for lore, or doing both, and keep those goals in separate columns.

PowerPyx’s tally is a practical planning number, but it is not an official developer-published inventory. If a later guide revision changes a category or identifies a new item, use the current list when you want a precise trophy route. For a normal playthrough, the safest takeaway is to track the four categories separately and avoid treating notes and documents as evidence that your 27-item count is incomplete.

Recipes need special attention because PowerPyx’s walkthrough says the game does not track which recipes you have made. Materials are randomized, and the walkthrough describes them as limited, so do not expect a fixed pickup route or assume that an item will appear in the same place on every run.
- Keep a list of all 12 recipe names from the guide you are using, and mark a recipe only when you have confirmed it in your game.
- Record where you found a recipe against the objective text. This gives you a useful reference if your notes or progress become unclear later.
- Collect materials when you encounter them instead of planning around a guaranteed material location.
- Pick up coins as you explore. PowerPyx’s walkthrough says coins cannot be farmed and that you cannot buy every possible shop item, so avoid treating every purchase as mandatory.
The 12-recipe count is the guide’s collectible tally; it does not mean the game provides a reliable in-menu checklist. Your written record is the safeguard against losing track.
For recipes, make the checklist concrete. A simple table with columns for recipe, objective, confirmed, and notes is enough. Leave the confirmation box blank until you have actually seen the recipe or verified it against your guide. If you are unsure whether an item was a recipe or a material, do not guess: note the uncertainty and check the guide section that matches your objective while you are still in the area.
Randomized materials make exact-material route planning less dependable than recipe tracking. A walkthrough can help you understand where to look, but the walkthrough’s warning means you should not assume that a particular material pickup will appear at a fixed spot in every run. Gather materials when available, then make crafting decisions with the understanding that resources are limited. Coins deserve similar attention: because the guide says they cannot be farmed and not every shop item can be bought, collect them as you explore and prioritize purchases instead of expecting to afford the entire shop inventory.
Nothing in these cautions means you need to stop and optimize every resource decision. The useful distinction is between finding a recipe—which should be recorded for completion—and spending resources—which may involve choices because materials and coins are constrained. Avoid spending on the assumption that you can later farm unlimited replacements, but do not treat every possible shop purchase as a required collectible.

Use the Genesis Configuration to read puzzles
The Genesis Configuration is central to environmental puzzles. In a PlayStation.Blog interview published August 19, 2026, Assistant Game Director Vid Rajin described the puzzle box as being “at the centre of things.” The examples in that interview show why a slow inspection is useful: changing the box’s configuration can alter traversal or make it function as a key.
When you reach a puzzle space, look for the relationship between the mechanism, the blocked route, and the box’s possible configurations. The object is not just a tool to try at random: the developer’s examples connect a specific environmental problem to a particular interaction. Examine the immediate surroundings for clues, and test the configuration that appears relevant to the obstruction. This approach helps you explore more deliberately without assuming every environmental puzzle works the same way.
When a route or walkway does not line up
Look for a nearby mechanism that can be manipulated with the Genesis Configuration. Rajin describes turning a wheel to align walkways. If a path seems almost reachable but remains misaligned, inspect the surrounding puzzle elements rather than searching only for a conventional switch. Consider whether changing the wheel or box could alter the route’s position, then check the result before moving on.

When a gate is blocked by a statue
Search for the missing statue piece in the local puzzle space. Rajin gives an example in which the player retrieves a piece such as a tongue or hand, then changes the box into the corresponding key shape to open a gate. That is a useful way to think about this puzzle type, not a guarantee that every statue uses the same piece or solution.
In practical terms, look beyond the blocked gate itself. The piece may be part of the surrounding puzzle rather than immediately beside the statue, so examine the area and any newly opened route. Once you have the piece, remember that retrieving it may not be the final step: the example specifically pairs the recovered statue part with a matching box configuration. If the gate remains shut, reconsider the object’s shape or interaction instead of assuming the item failed to register.
When a room appears to loop
Do not assume that the way forward is always farther ahead. The interview discusses a looping room in which turning back changes the setting, and notes that the Labyrinth can provide hints. If movement seems to return you to the same place, test the route in reverse and pay attention to what changes. A loop can be a puzzle cue, not merely a sign that you have missed a standard doorway.

Make that test deliberately: note a landmark, turn around, and observe whether the room or its details have shifted. The point is not to repeat every corridor indefinitely, but to try the reverse direction when the space signals that forward movement is not resolving the puzzle. Keep an eye on environmental changes and the Labyrinth’s hints rather than dismissing them as background detail.

Search nearby for a clue before trying combinations. Rajin’s interview describes a safe puzzle with a diagram on a desk. It is a useful search habit, not evidence that every lock’s clue is on a desk or that all locks follow the same pattern.
Before testing numbers or symbols, scan the nearby environment for a diagram or other visual clue and compare it with the lock. This can save time and reduce blind trial and error. Treat the desk example as a prompt to inspect the room, not as a universal rule about where clues are placed or how every safe is solved.
Save carefully, but do not rely on a recovery option
The PlayStation Store listing identifies manual saving as supported. A manual save may help preserve your progress, but the available information does not establish that loading a save will restore an item after you leave its area. Make the area sweep before transitioning rather than treating a save as insurance against a missable collectible. Save behavior may depend on platform or game state, so use the in-game options available to you.
A save can still be part of a sensible routine: preserve progress when the game allows it, especially before a difficult section or a major transition. But do not confuse “manual saving is supported” with “every earlier area can be restored in a useful state.” The item guide’s warning is about missed pickups becoming inaccessible after you move on; it does not describe a tested save-and-reload workaround. If completion matters, search first and save as appropriate rather than deliberately advancing to see whether a reload will undo the miss.
What to do if you are unsure whether an item was missed
- Check the active objective first. Compare the exact objective text in the Objectives menu with the matching heading in a current walkthrough.
- Review your own checklist. Separate confirmed finds from items you only remember seeing or intend to revisit. For recipes, a memory-based check is especially unreliable because the game does not track recipe progress according to the walkthrough.
- Do not assume you can return. Since the guide warns that leaving may make items inaccessible and reports no Chapter Select, avoid advancing farther while a likely side route remains unchecked.
- Use a guide’s location details only when they match your objective. The exact route and story progression are not interchangeable with a broad chapter label; match the guide’s objective heading to the game before following a location instruction.
If you are still in the area, do another focused pass instead of repeating the entire playthrough. Recheck the branches you did not mark as cleared, revisit unresolved puzzle spaces, and distinguish a confirmed absence from a place you never inspected. If you have already left, the sources do not establish that Chapter Select or a reliable recovery route exists. Consult a current walkthrough to confirm whether the item belongs to an earlier objective, but do not assume its route can be revisited in your save.

PowerPyx estimates an 8–10 hour 100% completion playthrough in its October 8, 2026 walkthrough. That is the guide’s estimate, not an official completion-time promise; thorough searching, puzzle-solving, and backtracking can affect an individual run.
