There is no single Seedance 2.5 API price established across providers. Hosted API routes use different billing rules, model limits, and job-handling features, so compare the exact provider, account, and request you intend to put into production. Price a representative generation, check how accepted jobs are billed, and confirm the workflow for submitting, tracking, and retrieving results before you build around it.

Why Seedance 2.5 API pricing varies by provider

The available documentation describes provider-specific API access and balances, not one universal Seedance 2.5 contract. The seedance2-5.com API documentation says API usage draws on the same balance and pricing as its website and requires an active paid subscription or purchased credits. The Seedance2video.io models and pricing documentation says its API follows its PC credit pricing and balance.

Those statements describe those services only. The sources do not establish a direct ByteDance API price schedule or a definitive global availability position. Identify who operates the endpoint, which account balance it uses, and whether your account and region can access the model before treating any displayed price as applicable.

Compare the contract, not just the displayed price

Use the same representative request for each provider: specify the model ID, output resolution, duration, aspect ratio, audio setting, and reference media. Then compare the billing unit and the production work required to get a usable result.

Comparison area What to establish What the cited documentation establishes
Price and billable unit Whether charges are per task, output duration, input-video duration, credits, or another basis; whether a plan or credit purchase is required; and how failed jobs are handled. As of 2026, seedance2-5.com says API use shares its website balance and pricing and requires a paid subscription or purchased credits. Seedance2video.io says its API uses its PC credit pricing and balance, and identifies an accepted response’s billing.cost_credits as authoritative. Neither cited pricing passage provides a Seedance 2.5 unit price.
Model and media capability Exact model ID, supported resolution and duration, reference types and caps, audio generation, editing, and aspect-ratio options. As of 2026, Seeddance’s guide describes 4–30-second 480p or 720p output and up to 30 images, 10 videos, and 10 audio references for seedance-2.5. Seedance2video.io describes 4–30-second output at 480p, 720p, or 1080p, with up to 30 images, 10 videos, 10 audio files, and 50 files total. These are separate provider descriptions, not combined limits.
Account access Region, plan, purchased-credit requirement, API-key access, and whether the model is enabled for the specific key. Seeddance says plan limits determine model and resolution availability and can cause an error before task creation. Confirm eligibility in the chosen account; the cited material does not establish universal regional access.
Job lifecycle Whether submission is synchronous or asynchronous; task IDs, polling, webhooks, cancellation, idempotency, rate limits, and terminal failure behavior. As of 2026, seedance2-5.com documents quote, submit, status, and download routes, but says its documented version lacks webhooks and cancellation endpoints. sedance.app documents a 202 response, held credits, polling, idempotency keys, and rate-limit headers. These behaviors are provider-specific.
Media handling Whether references must use approved HTTPS hosts or can be uploaded; accepted formats, size and duration caps, retention, and output-link expiry. Seeddance describes public HTTPS media URLs and media constraints; Seedance2video.io describes approved HTTPS storage hosts. Check the chosen route’s current requirements. The cited material does not establish comparable retention or output-expiry terms.
Reliability and governance Concurrency, uptime or latency evidence, support, data retention, and contractual remedies. Not established comparatively by the cited documentation. Obtain the provider’s current terms or measure the behavior you need before choosing on these grounds.

Do not mistake Seedance 2.0 examples for Seedance 2.5 prices

Seedance2video.io gives examples of 464 credits for Seedance 2.0 Fast and 288 credits for Seedance 2.0 Mini, each for a stated 720p, 9:16, eight-second request using reference inputs only. Those examples are not Seedance 2.5 prices. The same page says aspect ratio does not change those example prices and that input video is priced separately by total duration. Verify the live pricing for the exact Seedance 2.5 request rather than extrapolating from another model.

Build a quote-to-result production workflow

  1. Confirm access and model ID. In the chosen provider account, verify that the API key can use Seedance 2.5 and the required resolution, duration, and input modes. Do not assume model names or capabilities transfer between providers. Seeddance says plan restrictions can produce errors before task creation.
  2. Quote an exact request. If the provider offers a quote endpoint, submit representative parameters before generation and retain the estimate with the request details. The seedance2-5.com documentation lists POST /quotes and POST /videos. Compare the estimate with the accepted task’s billed record; Seedance2video.io says to treat billing.cost_credits in its accepted response as authoritative.
  3. Keep credentials on your server. The seedance2-5.com API documentation specifies bearer authentication and warns against placing API keys in browser code. Route requests through a server-side component and avoid exposing secrets in client responses or logs.
  4. Submit asynchronously and save the job ID. Store the provider’s task or generation identifier, poll or use the supported completion mechanism, and retrieve the output only after the job reaches a terminal state. Where supported, use idempotency keys for safe network retries; sedance.app documents them, but they are not a shared protocol guarantee.
  5. Validate reference media for the selected route. Seeddance’s guide requires public HTTPS media URLs and specifies format, size, and duration constraints. Seedance2video.io describes approved HTTPS storage hosts. Confirm whether your provider supports uploads, arbitrary URLs, and the reference modes you need before building the media pipeline.
  6. Test failure, refund, and throttling behavior. Check whether invalid model-plan combinations fail before task creation, whether a failed generation returns credits, and what rate-limit headers or retry guidance are provided. The cited providers describe different controls; do not forecast throughput or net cost from another provider’s behavior.

Use a cost model that includes operations

A displayed generation price is only one part of production cost. For each representative request, record the provider’s quote, final accepted-task charge, input-media charges, and any credit purchase or plan requirement. Separately track engineering and operating needs: reference hosting or upload work, polling volume, retry behavior, result-download handling, and the time outputs remain available.

Run the same request shape through the actual account you expect to deploy. Compare the estimate with accepted-job billing and record how rejected, failed, or retried submissions are treated. The documentation available for these providers does not establish a comparable Seedance 2.5 per-second or per-task price, so a numerical cross-provider winner cannot be responsibly named from it.

Verify these details before committing

  • Provider identity, account and regional eligibility, current model ID, and API-key permissions.
  • Exact resolution, duration, aspect ratio, audio options, reference types, and input limits for the selected account.
  • Quote availability, billing unit, credit conversion or plan requirement, accepted-job charge field, and failure/refund rules.
  • Submission response, job ID, polling or webhook support, idempotency, rate limits, cancellation, and terminal states.
  • Media URL or upload rules, permitted hosts, formats, size limits, retention, and output-link expiry.
  • Support, concurrency, uptime evidence, data handling, and contractual remedies from current provider terms.

Recheck these terms against the provider’s live documentation and account settings at implementation time. Model catalogs, prices, media constraints, and endpoints can change; the 2026 descriptions above are provider-specific documentation, not a guarantee that features remain available to every account.
