To use a shop code in F-Zero GX, open Customize > F-Zero Shop and enter the button sequence while that menu is open. Use the D-pad for directional inputs. Codes reported in October 2026 add AX machines, AX courses, Dark Schneider, and five Gold Parts sets. The Gold Parts sequences reportedly require four controllers entering simultaneously; the new codes are community-discovered and have not been validated in an official Nintendo announcement.
Enter a shop code in the right menu
- From the main menu, choose Customize, then open F-Zero Shop.
- Stay on the shop menu while entering the complete sequence. Use the controller’s D-pad for left and right.
- For a Gold Parts sequence, connect four controllers and have them enter the inputs simultaneously, as reported for those codes.
- Check the shop for the unlocked item. The Gold Parts are reported to become available to purchase; unlocking access does not itself mean the parts are purchased or equipped.
Community users describe hearing a confirmation jingle after successful entry, but that is an anecdotal report rather than an official diagnostic. The shop location and D-pad guidance are also described in the longstanding user-contributed GameFAQs listing and community discussion on Reddit.
Newly reported AX, character, and Gold Parts codes
The following sequences were published by Nintendo Everything on October 10, 2026, with credit to community contributor BTEST4HE and tipster Paul Russell. X, Y, and Z are controller buttons; < means left and > means right. The three AX and Dark Schneider codes are reported as one-controller inputs. The five Gold Parts codes are reported to require four controllers simultaneously. The report says these work in the original GameCube release and the Switch 2 Nintendo Classics version; treat that as reported compatibility, not an official Nintendo guarantee or exhaustive testing across regional revisions and emulators.

The recent sequences and compatibility claims are reproduced in Nintendo Everything’s October 10, 2026 report. Community members separately describe using the Customize screen’s F-Zero Shop and report successful entries in the Reddit discussion; those accounts are anecdotal, not controlled testing.

Older shop codes for course music
The user-contributed GameFAQs listing also documents two music unlocks. Enter each in Customize > F-Zero Shop, using the D-pad for directions. The item becomes available for purchase; once unlocked, press Z while selecting a track in the named course family to activate it.
- Sounds of Big Blue: Z, Left, Right, Left, Z, Y, X, Z, Left, Right, Left, Right, Z, X, Z, X, Z.
- Sounds of Mute City: X, X, X, Y, X, X, X, Y, Z, Z, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right.

Time Attack record inputs are not shop unlock codes
GameFAQs lists additional sequences entered from Time Attack > Records on Ruby, Emerald, or Sapphire Cup screens. They display a password and information associated with the former F-Zero online rankings; they are not general shop unlocks. The listing says those online rankings are no longer running, so use the shop menu for shop codes rather than trying these record-screen inputs there.
What codes unlock—and what they do not
The established unlock listing also describes normal progression through cups and Story Mode chapters for machines, parts, and other features. The newly reported sequences grant access to specific AX content and special parts; they are not presented as a universal code that unlocks every item or equips every part. The game manual explains the customization and shop context, including purchasing machine parts, but does not validate the newly reported sequences: F-Zero GX manual scan.

An older GameFAQs answer said its author knew of no Action Replay or GameShark code to unlock all content, while noting device codes for effects such as infinite boost. That answer predates the October 2026 button-code reports and should not be read as evidence that shop button codes do not exist: GameFAQs answers.

- For shop unlocks, confirm that Customize > F-Zero Shop is open, rather than another Customize screen.
- Enter the sequence exactly as listed, and use the D-pad for directional inputs.
- For any of the five Gold Parts sets, check that four controllers are connected and entering inputs simultaneously. The reports do not establish that one player can reproduce this by repeating inputs on a single controller.
- Look for the item in the shop after entry. A community-reported jingle may be a clue, but it is not a guaranteed diagnostic.
- Keep the code categories separate: Time Attack record-screen inputs belong on the named Records screens, not in the shop.
The original game manual confirms the shop and customization workflow, while no current official Nintendo page in the cited material validates the new sequences. Compatibility beyond the versions named in the October 2026 report is not established here.
