To use another player’s Aniimo character design, open the character appearance editor, choose Import Face Data, select the Face ID or QR option shown by your client, preview the result, and review the confirmation cost before applying it. To change a character you already created, use Appearance > Design > Face Adjust when that menu is available, or reopen the editor with a customization voucher. These are separate routes, and the game’s current prompts—not a universal button shortcut or a promised free-edit allowance—determine what you can do.
Face-code import and face editing are different
A shared face design starts with an identifier or QR image supplied by another player. You import that data through the character editor. An existing character, by contrast, is changed from the game’s appearance controls and may require a story unlock or voucher. Choosing the wrong route can make it look as if the code is missing or the editor is unavailable.

Choose the right route in seconds
Use Import Face Data when another player has sent you a Face ID or QR design and you want to start from that saved appearance. Use Appearance > Design > Face Adjust when you are working on the character already attached to your account. The first route begins with shared data; the second begins with your current character and its available edit permissions.

If you only have a screenshot, thumbnail, or portrait image, you do not yet have a confirmed import package. Ask the sender for the actual Face ID or an intact QR image. Conversely, if you have no code and only want to alter a feature on your own character, searching for an import field is likely to send you to the wrong screen.
Before entering a Face ID or QR design
- Sign in to the account you intend to use and verify the selected server. A different login or server can open what appears to be a new-character screen instead of your existing character.
- Have the complete Face ID or a QR image intended for import. A portrait screenshot alone is not a face-data export.
- Keep the original design available until you have confirmed that the imported result is correct.
- Expect the editor to show a confirmation step. Do not assume that opening a preview has already spent a voucher or currency.
- Update awareness matters: menu names and availability can change after a client update, so match the wording shown on your screen rather than an older video’s button layout.
For account and server checks, the Aniimo Character Creation: Face Codes & Import Help guide (checked October 9, 2026) specifically warns that an unexpected new-character screen can result from signing in differently or choosing another server.
How to enter a shared Aniimo face code
- Open character customization. Enter the character appearance or customization editor. If you see a new-character setup when you expected an existing character, stop and verify the account and server before importing anything.
- Choose Import Face Data. The import control may be represented by an icon or placed differently depending on the client. Select the on-screen command named Import Face Data rather than relying on a platform-specific button combination.
- Select the available identifier type. Choose Face ID if you have a text identifier, or choose the QR path if the design was shared as a QR code. Some guides call the same identifier a Face Code.
- Enter or scan the design. Follow the client’s prompt to type the ID or use the in-game QR option. Keep the code exactly as supplied; copied spaces, missing characters, and lookalike letters or numbers can invalidate it.
- Preview the result. Inspect the face and any hair or makeup settings included in the design. Previewing lets you reject an unsuitable result before applying it. Rotate or inspect the character from more than one angle if the client offers that view.
- Read the final confirmation. Check the displayed voucher or currency cost and the appearance shown in the confirmation screen. Cancel if the amount, character, or result is unexpected.
- Confirm only when ready. Accept the prompt to apply the design. A saved draft or preview is not the same as a permanently applied change.
Do not rush through the preview merely because the imported thumbnail looks correct. Hair, makeup, or other included settings can make the result differ from the small shared image. The confirmation screen is also where the client can distinguish an unpaid preview from an applied edit. If the prompt does not clearly identify the character or the charge, back out and recheck your account, server, and selected slot.
This sequence is the workflow described by independent player testing and guide records, rather than a platform-wide developer guarantee. The import guide also advises keeping the process inside the game editor; a face QR should not require you to provide account credentials on an external website.
If the Face ID or QR is rejected
- Re-enter the identifier without accidental spaces and check characters that are easy to confuse, such as letters and numbers.
- Ask the person who shared it for a fresh export if the original is incomplete, cropped, or unreadable.
- Confirm that you received a Face ID or QR export, not only a screenshot of the character’s portrait.
- Return to the preview and confirmation screens. If the client shows a cost you did not expect, cancel instead of accepting and investigate the current account, server, and editor state.
- Check that you selected the same import type the sender supplied. A text ID and a QR image are two entry paths, not interchangeable pieces of text.
- If the option itself is absent, do not substitute an external converter, modified client, or unknown preset file. The checked material does not establish a supported workaround.
These checks are practical troubleshooting suggestions, not guaranteed fixes for a server-side or version-specific error.
How to change a character you already created
Use the Appearance menu when it is unlocked
- Open the game’s main menu.
- Select Appearance.
- Open Design, then choose Face Adjust.
- Make the desired changes, preview them, and read the confirmation prompt before applying them.
A guide published September 16, 2026 and updated September 20, 2026 reports that Appearance becomes available after you receive the Institute uniform during the Institute Initiation Quest. Treat that as the reported progression route, not a permanent promise: updates can move an unlock or rename a menu. If Appearance is absent, continue the relevant story sequence and follow the current client’s instructions.

Reaching the menu does not by itself answer whether the change is free. Open Face Adjust, make a harmless inspection if needed, and read the client’s own confirmation language. Cancel if the screen shows a voucher or currency requirement you did not intend to spend.
Reopen the editor with a customization voucher
Another guide describes using a customization voucher to reopen the character editor. The exact voucher requirement, price, and number of changes are not established by the available sources. The confirmation screen is the authority for your edition and current update. Do not assume that an edit is free, that a fixed number of free edits is included, or that merely opening Face Adjust consumes the voucher.
A voucher route is useful when the normal Appearance menu is unavailable or when the client explicitly offers a voucher-based return to the editor. It is not a reason to enter a code on a third-party page. Keep the voucher, ID, and final application inside the game’s own flow, and stop if the client asks for account credentials elsewhere.
Preview, drafts, and preserving your original design
Before accepting a replacement face, preserve the current design whenever the client offers an export or save option. Keeping a copy gives you something to restore or re-import if a later result is unsatisfactory. The independent import guide recommends retaining a copy of the original design.
One player report says a draft could be saved and re-imported before a voucher was used. That behavior is anecdotal and has not been independently verified, so treat it as a possibility rather than a feature you can rely on. A draft, preview, or saved code is not proof that the final appearance has been applied or that a voucher has been refunded.

Use a simple two-stage check: first compare the preview with the intended face, then compare the confirmation screen with the cost you are willing to pay. If either check fails, cancel. Do not delete the original code or overwrite your only saved copy until the new appearance is visibly applied and acceptable.

Do not use the import screen when your goal is simply to fine-tune a face you already own, and do not expect Face Adjust to accept another player’s code unless the client explicitly offers an import command.
Platform, region, and server compatibility
No developer-confirmed compatibility matrix was found for PC, mobile, console, regions, or servers. An independent verification page says its registered official sources did not document a transferable code, file path, or platform matrix. Community discussions show players sharing codes and mentioning server labels, but those posts are anecdotal and cannot prove that every code works everywhere.
Therefore, treat a Face ID or QR as unconfirmed outside the environment in which it was created. Test it in the client’s own preview flow, and do not move account data or credentials to a third-party site to make a code work. If the client does not offer the relevant Face ID or QR option, the available evidence does not support a workaround or a promise that the design is transferable.

Safety rules for face-code sharing
- Stay in the game editor. A legitimate face import should use the client’s Face ID or QR controls. It should not ask for an account password, recovery code, or payment details on an unrelated website.
- Do not install tools for a face design. Unknown executables, modified clients, and preset files are not required by the in-game workflow and can expose your device or account.
- Inspect before applying. A QR image or ID can produce a different appearance than the thumbnail suggests; the preview and confirmation screens are your opportunity to cancel.
- Keep a personal copy. Save or export your current design through the game’s own controls before experimenting, where available.
- Do not share account secrets. A Face ID or QR is appearance data; it is not a reason to disclose login credentials, recovery codes, or payment information.
Troubleshooting by symptom
“I cannot find Import Face Data”
Make sure you are inside the character appearance/customization editor, not a general settings screen. Menu placement and labels can vary by client. If the command is still absent, the available sources do not establish a universal platform shortcut or an external replacement; follow the options shown by your current version.

“The import opens a new character”
Stop before confirming. Verify the account credentials, selected server, and character slot. Signing in through a different account or selecting another server can make an existing character appear to be missing.
“The code looks right but will not load”
Check for spaces and lookalike characters, then request a fresh Face ID or QR export. Make sure the sender provided face data rather than a portrait screenshot. If the client still rejects it, platform, region, server, expiration, or version behavior may be involved, but the reviewed material does not establish which of those conditions applies.
“Face Adjust is locked or missing”
Check whether you have received the Institute uniform during the Institute Initiation Quest, the progression point reported for the Appearance menu. Also check whether your client requires a customization voucher. Because both the unlock and voucher behavior can change, use the current in-game prompt for the definitive requirement.
“The result or price is not what I expected”
Cancel at the confirmation screen, compare the preview with the intended character, and verify the displayed voucher or currency amount. Do not assume that previewing applies the design, that a draft can always be restored, or that the game will provide a free correction.
“I want to undo the change”
Use the original saved design or export if the client supports re-importing it. A player report mentions saving and re-importing a draft before voucher use, but that behavior is not verified as a universal undo function. If no restore option is shown, do not assume a voucher refund or unlimited reversals.
