You cannot enable automatic downloads or updates for When Sirens Fall Silent yet because the official Steam listing still says the game is not available and gives its release date as “To be announced.” Wishlist the listing now; after release, automatic behavior will be controlled by the launcher or console on which you own the game.
Why automatic downloads are unavailable right now
The Steam product page is not an installable game page yet. Wishlist the official Steam page
Use the wishlist control on the official Steam listing while signed in to your Steam account. Steam can then notify you when the store page changes to an available release. A wishlist notification is an alert, not an automatic pre-install: you will still need to claim or purchase the game and start the installation.

Decide which platform you will use
The announced distribution plan includes Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on PC, plus PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Final availability can vary by storefront and region, so verify the active store page when release information is published. Your automatic-download settings will belong to the platform you ultimately choose.
Prepare the account you will use
Automatic actions require the relevant launcher or console account to be signed in. Decide whether your game license will be attached to Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PlayStation Network, or Xbox. 1. Set download scheduling
- Open the Steam desktop client.
- Choose Steam > Settings > Downloads.
- Use the download-scheduling controls to choose when Steam may perform downloads. Select a period when the computer is normally powered on and connected.
- Apply the setting and leave Steam running during the scheduled period.
Scheduling determines when Steam is permitted to download. It does not create a release date, bypass a store hold, or install an unreleased title.
2. Set the game’s update preference
- Open your Steam Library after you have installed or claimed the game.
- Right-click When Sirens Fall Silent and choose Properties.
- Open the Updates page.
- Choose the available update preference that permits Steam to keep the game updated, then close the dialog.
The per-game preference and the global download schedule work together. A permissive game update preference cannot download anything while Steam is closed, signed out, offline, or outside a schedule that blocks downloads.
3. Keep Steam able to run
- Stay signed in to the account that owns the game.
- Keep the Steam client running when the scheduled download window occurs.
- Do not place the client in an offline state if you expect it to check for updates.

4. Confirm the result
When a release or patch is available, check the Steam download activity area and the game’s Library status. If the game remains unavailable in the store, no Steam setting can force an installation.

Epic Games Store and GOG
Epic Games Store and GOG are identified as planned PC storefronts. The available announcement does not provide title-specific menu paths or release timing for either store, so do not treat Steam instructions as exact instructions for those clients.
Once an official page becomes active, use that store’s own library and download settings to enable its automatic-update or scheduled-download behavior. The same prerequisites apply: claim or purchase the game, install it through the store, sign in to the owning account, and leave the launcher available during the period in which downloads are allowed. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S
PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are part of the announced platform plan. Console automatic downloads are controlled by the console’s operating-system settings and the account that owns the game, not by a Windows or Steam preference.

Before enabling a console download
- Confirm that the game has an active store page for your country or region.
- Claim or purchase the game on the correct PlayStation Network or Xbox account.
- Install it once the listing is available, then review the console’s automatic-update and rest-mode or standby download settings.
- Keep the console connected and in the power state required by its own settings.

- Replace the platform account, launcher, or console service required to deliver the files.
- Guarantee a download when the launcher is closed, signed out, or unable to connect.
Troubleshooting by symptom
The store page says the game is unavailable
This is an availability issue, not a download-setting error. The Steam listing currently uses that status and gives no announced date. Wishlist the official page and wait for an active release listing; there is no supported setting that can install the game earlier.

Check that you are signed in to the same account that created the wishlist and that notifications are enabled for that account and client. A wishlist is the practical way to request an availability alert, but it is not a guarantee of a particular delivery time or an automatic installation.

The game is owned but does not update on Steam
- Open Steam and verify that you are signed in to the owning account.
- Check Steam > Settings > Downloads for a schedule that may be preventing downloads.
- Open the game’s Properties > Updates page and confirm that its update preference allows updating.
- Leave Steam running during the permitted download period and inspect the download activity area for a pending update.
A scheduled download did not begin
First establish that a release or patch is actually published for your platform. Then check whether Steam was running and signed in during the scheduled window. If the game is not yet available in your region or the store has not published an update, changing the schedule will not create one.
You bought the game on a different platform
Use the launcher or console associated with that purchase. Steam settings cannot manage an Epic Games Store, GOG, PlayStation, or Xbox installation, and a console’s standby settings cannot update a PC copy.

- Open the official store page for your chosen platform and confirm that the release is active in your region.
- Claim or purchase the game using the account you intend to keep using.
- Install the game through that platform’s normal library flow.

Wired Productions describes When Sirens Fall Silent as a dark, investigative psychological thriller set in early-1990s Italy. The player follows Mila, a policewoman investigating kidnappings and murders.
The official Steam content notice says the story and featured characters are fictional, and that the game contains potentially uncomfortable scenes and topics that may distress some players. Review that notice before playing, particularly if you are sensitive to those themes. This content information does not change the platform’s download or update controls.
