The most direct current way to earn Simoleons in The Sims FreePlay is to fulfill produce requests at the Community Market. Use career shifts as a passive complement while you are away from the game. The best mix depends on how often you can check in, your level, and the market orders available.
Use Community Market orders for active Simoleon earnings
Open the town map and find the Community Market near the Park along the riverbank. EA says it is ready to use without building a location. Customers request produce, and the counter shows the items needed and the Simoleon reward. Fulfilling requests brings more customers into the queue. EA’s April 20, 2025 Community Market announcement says rewards scale with player level, so an example payout should not be treated as a fixed rate.

EA compared the former level-7 gardening return of 148 Simoleons for four corn over 20 minutes with around 540 Simoleons for a common Community Market request for the same amount of corn in five minutes. That is a dated, level-specific comparison from the 2025 announcement—not a guarantee for every order or player.

Manage the market shed
Produce waits in a limited-capacity storage shed, which can restrict how many requests you can prepare or fulfill. Some customers may offer Upgrade Tools instead of Simoleons; EA says the tools expand shed capacity. The announcement does not give a current capacity figure or tool drop rate, so check the in-game shed rather than relying on a fixed number.

Update your gardening strategy after the 2025 change
Older advice to plant ordinary vegetables in home garden patches is outdated. EA’s gardening feature update says patches unlock after the “Money Grows on Trees” Progression Quest and now support Simoleon Sprouts, Life Point Lotus, and Social Point Flowers. Ordinary vegetables moved to the Community Market. Decorative, fully grown vegetable plants in the Home Store are decor, not an earning crop cycle.
In practical terms, use the market for vegetable orders; do not plan a current Simoleon routine around planting peppers, onions, tomatoes, or other ordinary vegetables at home.

Pair active market visits with passive careers
Careers can earn currency while you work on other quests or events. EA’s Day Spa Profession FAQ says more experienced Sims receive more Simoleons and XP after each shift. Careers require the corresponding workplace to be built. Professions are different: you can accompany Sims to work and help earn resources used to upgrade the venue.

Fit earning around your play schedule
- Before stepping away: Assign available Sims to career shifts or other longer actions that can run while you are offline.
- When you return: Collect completed work, check the Community Market counter, and fulfill the requests you can support with available produce.
- Keep multiple Sims busy: Apple’s App Store tips for the game recommend assigning multiple Sims to actions at once and starting longer tasks before time away. These are scheduling tips, not a promise of a specific Simoleon yield.
Inspired Sims earn extra XP according to the App Store tips, but those tips do not establish an extra Simoleon multiplier for market orders.
Keep Simoleons, LP, and SP separate
Simoleons are the currency targeted by Community Market orders and the career guidance above. Lifestyle Points (LP) and Social Points (SP) are separate currencies, so a reward in one does not demonstrate a faster way to build another.

EA’s April 27, 2025 update described an EA Account login reward through Account Manager in Settings: build items plus 25 LP and 20 SP. That was a reward in the described update, not proof of a recurring offer available to every player now. Check the in-game account screen for current availability. Do you need to buy currency?
No. EA describes virtual-currency purchases as optional, while its gameplay guidance provides earning routes through market orders and careers. Try those in-game methods first; paid currency is not a requirement for building a Simoleon balance. EA’s update announcement discusses optional purchases.

What this strategy can—and cannot—establish
The official guidance supports a practical split: use market orders when you can actively check in, and let career shifts earn while you are occupied elsewhere. It does not provide a complete current yield table for every career, hobby, quest, event, or currency. Because order rewards scale with level and vary by request, compare the actual reward shown in your game rather than assuming one universal fastest method.
