You can earn Rubies in THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK without buying packs, but there is no verified, permanent “Rubies per day” rate. The reliable approach is to claim every free reward currently shown in the game’s Missions, Events, login and mail screens, then check Netmarble’s official shop for dated promotions. Treat shop capsules and headline maximums as conditional or chance-based unless the reward is explicitly guaranteed.

THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK is a mobile idle RPG with login rewards, events and optional in-app purchases. - Open Missions. Read each daily, weekly and achievement entry, including its reward preview and reset timer. Complete the tasks that list Rubies, or a free draw/token that can lead to Rubies, and press Claim after the condition is met.
- Open Events. Check every tab, its end date and its progress track. Some rewards unlock at milestones; others require a check-in or a separate claim button.
- Check login and inbox rewards. Look at the current login calendar and the in-game mail tab. Claim time-limited mail before its expiration rather than assuming it will remain available.
- Inspect the official shop’s free section. A shop event can be free to enter while still being limited by dates, region or a draw. Confirm the event rules before using a free attempt.
- Record the deadline. Screenshot the reward description and expiry date when an event matters. This prevents a completed milestone from going unclaimed after the campaign closes.

Free Ruby opportunities differ in certainty and repeatability. This table separates what you can claim by completing a displayed requirement from what is merely a possible outcome.

How to farm whatever the current Missions panel offers
No official public notice establishes a current Ruby amount or reset cadence for daily missions, weekly missions, stage rewards, achievements or competitive modes. That does not mean those activities never pay Rubies; it means the exact value must be confirmed in your current client before you rely on it.
Daily tasks
- Open Missions and select the daily category.
- Tap each task to see whether the reward is Rubies, a free summoning resource or another item.
- Check whether progress is automatic or requires tapping Go to enter a specific mode.
- After completion, return to the mission page and claim the reward. A completed counter is not always the same as a claimed reward.
- Note the reset time shown by the game. Do not substitute a generic midnight assumption, because server reset conventions can differ.
Weekly, achievement and progression objectives
Weekly and achievement pages can contain larger one-time rewards, but their conditions and values are likewise client-specific. Before spending resources to finish an objective, open its reward preview. If the preview lists no Rubies, completing it may still help progression, but it should not be counted as a Ruby source.
Stages and challenge content
New stages and challenge activities have been added over the game’s updates. A February 2026 update also discussed expanded stage content and achievement progress in Countdown Operation, but the notice did not quantify Ruby rewards. Treat such content as a possible source only after the in-game completion screen explicitly displays a Ruby reward: Netmarble’s 2/10 Update News.

Use Events, check-ins and mail before they expire
Event rewards are often the most valuable free opportunities, yet they are also the easiest to miss. For each event, identify four facts before investing time:
- End date and time zone: distinguish the event’s end from the date on which its final reward can be claimed.
- Unlock condition: check-in day, mission points, stage clear, login streak or another requirement.
- Claim method: some rewards arrive automatically; others require a button on the event page or in mail.
- Reward type: a fixed Ruby grant is different from a ticket, token or draw entry whose eventual result is uncertain.
Open the mail tab after maintenance, an update or a campaign announcement. If an item has an expiration timer, claim it immediately. Keep enough inventory space for a reward that may be delivered as an item rather than added directly to your Ruby balance.

Lucky Capsule: the current dated free opportunity
Netmarble’s official shop lists a Lucky Capsule event from September 17, 2026, 00:00 UTC, to January 14, 2027, 23:59 UTC. Its possible prizes include Ruby (Free) ×200,000 and Ruby (Free) ×30,000. The wording describes a draw, so neither amount is guaranteed for every participant. The listing is localized in Indonesian, which means the page, eligibility or free attempt may not appear identically in every country.
Check the event directly at Netmarble’s KOF AFK official shop Lucky Capsule page. If the page is unavailable, redirects, or does not show a free action after you sign in, do not assume the promotion applies to your account. Confirm the displayed region, event dates and rules first.

Safe way to use a free capsule
- Sign in through the official shop link and verify that the account is the one connected to your game.
- Confirm that the event dates are still active in UTC and that your region is eligible.
- Read whether the attempt is free, how many attempts are allowed and whether any paid currency is involved.
- Open the prize list. A “possible prize” is not a guaranteed payout; record the result shown after the draw.
- Return to the game and check your Ruby balance or mail. If the reward is missing, capture the transaction or result screen before contacting support.
Expired promotions: useful context, not current farming rates
Large numbers in older advertisements should not be treated as today’s repeatable income.
Fighters Festa anniversary campaign
Netmarble announced a “Thank-You Gift of 500,000 Rubies” during Fighters Festa, which ran from August 20 through September 16, 2026. That window had ended by October 13, 2026, so the gift is historical context rather than a claimable reward now. The announcement is available in the official Netmarble Newsroom post.
2025 launch benefits
Netmarble’s September 4, 2025 launch announcement said: “Players who join THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK now will receive up to 3,000 Summoning Tokens and Rubies (x210,000) simply by playing the game.” It also described a seven-day check-in with Ruby among the rewards. “Up to” and “now” were launch-period wording; the statement does not establish a current guarantee for a player starting in 2026. A no-spend routine that avoids missed rewards
- At each login: collect the login-day reward, inspect mail, then open Missions and Events.
- Before spending stamina or tickets: check whether an active mission or event rewards that activity. Aligning normal play with an objective prevents waste.
- After completing tasks: claim rewards immediately and verify the balance or inventory change.
- Once per week: review weekly and achievement pages, sort them by remaining time and finish the expiring objectives first.
- At every update: reread event rules. New content can add a temporary campaign, while an old page may disappear without preserving an unclaimed reward.
- Before an event closes: claim milestone items, check the final tab and empty any event-specific exchange currency if the rules say it expires.
How to distinguish a real free Ruby claim from a misleading headline
- Guaranteed: the rules name a fixed Ruby amount and state the exact completion or check-in condition.
- Conditional: you receive Rubies only after meeting a requirement, reaching a milestone or being eligible for a region-specific campaign.
- Chance-based: the amount appears in a prize pool, capsule or draw. A maximum prize is not an expected payout.
- Dated: the offer has a start and end timestamp. It cannot be used to calculate a permanent daily or monthly rate.
- Region-dependent: a localized shop page or account eligibility notice may limit access even when another player can see it.
Do not use Ruby-per-day figures copied from another KOF title, an old version or an unofficial estimate. The economy can change with a patch, and a number without a reset rule is not a useful earning plan.
Costs, eligibility and proof before you claim
A genuine no-spend route should never require buying a Ruby pack, paid summon currency or a physical product. “Free” can still mean that you must log in, clear a stage, reach a milestone, use a free ticket or complete a check-in. Read the confirmation screen so you know whether the action consumes a free attempt or asks for paid currency. If a page shows both paid and free options, select only the option explicitly labeled free.
Eligibility can be tied to the account, server, country or event dates. A promotion visible in one language or market is not proof that every player receives it. Save the displayed rules, UTC deadline and result. That record is useful when a reward is delivered by mail, appears as an item instead of a balance increase, or fails to arrive immediately after a draw.
Do not spend stamina, tickets or other limited resources solely because an outside post promises Rubies. First confirm the reward preview in your own client. If it lists only progression materials, complete the activity for normal account growth, not as a Ruby investment.
Troubleshooting when a reward does not appear
The mission says complete, but no Rubies were added
Reopen the mission and press Claim; then check mail and relaunch the client if the balance is cached. Verify that the reward was Rubies rather than a token or ticket. Keep a screenshot showing the completed condition and reward preview.

The shop event is missing
Check the event’s UTC window, sign-in account and country or region. The Indonesian page may not represent every market. Do not bypass a regional restriction with an unapproved account change; wait for an offer displayed for your account or use the in-game Missions and Events panels.
A draw result is unclear
Save the result screen and prize list. A capsule can award an item that must be collected through mail or an event inventory. If the published rules and the displayed result conflict, contact Netmarble support with the account identifier and timestamp rather than attempting the draw again.

Historical 500,000-Ruby anniversary and up-to-210,000-Ruby launch figures should not be used as present farming rates.
