To earn Fully equipped in How to Fish, put one attachment from each of four categories—extended magazine, laser sight, optic, and muzzle—on the same weapon. You do not need to buy both optic or muzzle options. The achievement guide documents this requirement for Patch 1.0.10; a separate attachment guide also lists the four categories.
What the Fully equipped achievement counts
The requirement is four categories on one gun, not four purchases spread across your inventory. The attachment reference lists these slots for each weapon:
- Extended magazine
- Laser sight
- Optic: red dot or sniper scope
- Muzzle: compensator or suppressor
Equip one optic and one muzzle alongside the magazine and laser. Buying both optics, or both muzzle options, does not add another qualifying category. The achievement guide labels its information Patch 1.0.10, so treat that as the guide’s stated patch scope rather than a fresh developer confirmation. See the attachment and achievement guide.
When you can complete it
You do not have to wait until every later attachment option is available. The attachment guide says the achievement can be completed with earlier choices; waiting for later progression is presented as a way to have more in-game money, not as a condition of the achievement.

Choose attachments for the weapon and encounter
For the achievement, slot compatibility is the main concern. For combat, the consulted setup guide recommends choosing parts to suit the weapon and situation. These are guide recommendations, not independently tested performance results.

Because you need only one option in each pair, choose for your current weapon and encounter rather than buying both in expectation of extra achievement progress. The setup recommendations are summarized in the weapon setup guide.

Set up the weapon without wasting purchases
- Pick a weapon you intend to keep. If you are close to upgrading, avoid spending on a temporary gun; the four qualifying parts need to be on the same weapon.
- Fill the magazine and laser slots. Each has one listed option in the attachment reference.
- Choose one optic and one muzzle. Use the available options that fit your current needs; purchasing both alternatives is not required.
- Check that all four categories are attached to that single weapon. The guide describes the achievement as requiring all four categories on one gun.
Prepare for bosses and progression
How to Fish is a PC game listed on Steam with Steam Achievements. Its store description says players complete quests and fight bosses to reach new islands with more dangerous creatures and better gear. A boss overview lists this sequence:
- Spider Crab
- Giant Piranha
- Pufferfish
- Albatross
- Bowhead Whale
- Mutated Bowhead Whale
Before each encounter, check the boss guide for the bait or trigger and the required hand-in item. Keep the named boss body, trophy, or fin needed for progression rather than selling or discarding it. The overview also advises bringing a dependable weapon and a recovery plan. Its stated scope is Patch 1.0.12, while the achievement guide identifies Patch 1.0.10; the two guides should not be treated as one jointly verified patch reference. Consult the boss overview for encounter-specific details and the official Steam listing for the game’s platform and progression description.
