Step-by-step download

If Amazon Music is your service, open the track’s current purchase or download details in your country and look for an explicit file format and ownership statement. Understanding 24-bit/44.1 kHz and “lossless”
Bit depth
Bit depth describes the resolution used for each digital amplitude value. A 24-bit file contains more precision in the stored samples than a 16-bit file. It does not mean the track is louder, and changing a 16-bit source into a 24-bit container cannot recreate information that was never recorded.

A high-quality source cannot force every output chain to operate at that resolution. Apple notes that Hi-Res Lossless above 48 kHz may require external equipment such as a USB DAC. For this release’s 24-bit/44.1 kHz Qobuz file, a modern phone or computer that natively supports that format may be sufficient.
- Use a wired output when checking the file’s native playback path.
- Check the operating system’s exclusive-mode or audio-format settings if a player reports that it is resampling.
- Bluetooth can introduce a separate codec and transmission stage, even when the source file is lossless.
- A DAC cannot restore detail already discarded by an MP3, AAC encode, or low-quality stream.

Verify the download before deleting anything
- Check that the filename and metadata identify Justice, the complete featured-artist credit, and “Flower In A Hurricane.”
