Project Slayers customization is handled inside the Roblox experience rather than through Roblox’s general avatar editor. On PC, press M to open the game menu, then open the appearance or customization panel if it is available in your current version. The community-maintained Character Customization guide describes four editable clothing and appearance categories—Shirts, Pants, Shoes, and Hair. Select an item first, then change its color with the panel’s text field or color wheel. Exact labels and availability can change as the experience is updated.
What you can customize
The clearest player-facing description comes from the Project Slayers community wiki. It separates the basic customization controls into four categories:

The guide also says that extra face accessories and extra eyes are offered through gamepasses. It does not establish the current pass names, prices, or whether every pass is presently available, so check the in-game purchase panel before spending Robux.

- Join the current Project Slayers experience from its Roblox page.
- On a PC keyboard, press M. Roblox’s official Project Slayers listing identifies M as the menu control.
- Look for the appearance, character, or customization option in the menu. The official listing documents the key control but does not document the exact customization button or current panel layout.
- If the option is missing, close and reopen the menu, finish any introductory sequence that blocks normal menus, and check that the experience has finished loading. A changed interface or temporarily unavailable feature may also explain the difference.
There is no verified, universal set of mobile or console button mappings in the available documentation. On those platforms, use the platform’s on-screen Roblox controls and the in-game menu rather than assuming the PC M shortcut applies.

Change a shirt, pants, shoes, or hair color
Use the following sequence for each category. The wiki’s important detail is the order: select the item first, then edit its color.
- Open the customization panel and choose Shirts, Pants, Shoes, or Hair.
- Select the specific item or style you want to edit. Changing a color before selecting an item may leave the control with nothing to modify.
- Use the panel’s color text field, if present, to enter the supported value, or choose a color on the wheel.
- Inspect the character preview. If the preview does not update, click outside the field or move the color-wheel selector so the interface registers the change.
- Repeat the process for other categories. Treat each category as a separate selection; a shirt color change does not automatically recolor pants, shoes, or hair.
- Use an Apply, Confirm, or Save control only if the current panel displays one. Its label and location are not specified in the published instructions, so do not assume that closing the panel saves or discards a change.
Color controls can look different after an update. A text field may accept a format that the current interface explains beside the field; do not assume that a value accepted by another Roblox game will work here. If the field rejects an entry, use the wheel or the format shown by the panel instead of repeatedly pasting the same value.

What the Part 2 information means
The wiki has a separate “Character Customization/Part 2” page, but that page explicitly labels its material as upcoming content and says it may change. Its claims should therefore be treated as a roadmap or provisional description, not as guaranteed features of the live game.

If your game shows a palette or RGB sliders, follow the labels and preview in that build. If it shows only a wheel or text field, use those controls; the Part 2 page does not override what the current client actually presents.

Extra eyes and face accessories
The main community guide describes extra face accessories and extra eyes as gamepass content. A gamepass is an in-experience purchase, not a requirement for changing the basic shirt, pants, shoes, or hair colors. Before buying, open the current in-game pass description and verify:
- Which exact accessory or eye option the pass unlocks.
- Whether the pass is available in the current version and region.
- The displayed Robux price and whether the purchase is one-time or otherwise limited.
- Whether the item appears in the customization panel immediately or requires rejoining.
The available documentation does not verify current prices, pass identifiers, or inventory behavior. Do not infer those details from old screenshots or third-party videos.

Troubleshoot a missing or ineffective change
The menu does not open
- Confirm you are using a keyboard in the PC client and press M while the game window has focus.
- Close chat, an open text box, or another Roblox overlay that may be capturing the keystroke.
- Use the Roblox pause/menu controls to leave and rejoin if the interface has stopped responding.
- Check the experience’s current controls after an update; the official listing confirms the default M control, but controls can be revised by the developer.
The customization option is absent
The official Roblox listing does not document the player customization path, and the wiki is community-maintained. An absent option may mean the feature is disabled in that server, has moved to another menu, is restricted during an introductory sequence, or has changed in a new build. Rejoin a fresh server, wait for assets to load, and compare the labels in the current panel with the category names above.

- Return to the category and select the item again.
- Change the value with the wheel instead of the text field, or use the field if the wheel is not responding.
- Click outside the field and check the preview for an update.
- Look for an Apply, Confirm, or Save control if one is visible.
- Reopen the panel after leaving it to determine whether the change persisted.
If only one category fails while the others work, the issue is more likely to be that item or the current build than a general Roblox avatar problem.

The character looks different after rejoining
Record which category and item you changed, then repeat the edit in a new server. A temporary preview state, an unsaved panel, or an update can make an appearance change look permanent when it is not. The published instructions do not establish a separate account-wide Roblox avatar setting for Project Slayers, so do not try to fix an in-game clothing color through the general Roblox avatar editor.
Do not confuse Project Slayers customization with Roblox developer tools
Roblox Creator Hub documentation describes HumanoidDescription, a developer-facing way to apply character appearance properties such as scale, accessories, classic clothing, body parts, body colors, and animations. That API is for creators building or scripting an experience. It is not a player instruction for changing a Project Slayers character, and entering developer code is neither necessary nor supported by the player customization guide.
For a player, the relevant path is the in-game menu and its appearance panel. Use Creator Hub documentation only if you are developing your own Roblox experience and need to script a character description; it does not reveal hidden Project Slayers controls.
A practical customization checklist
- Join the current Project Slayers experience, not the Roblox avatar editor.
- On PC, press M to open the game menu.
- Find the current appearance or customization panel.
- Choose Shirts, Pants, Shoes, or Hair.
- Select an item before editing its color.
- Use the available text field or color wheel and verify the preview.
- Apply or save only when the panel provides that control.
- Reopen the panel or rejoin to confirm the appearance persisted.
- Treat extra eyes, face accessories, and all Part 2 details as dependent on the current build and purchase screen.
What is confirmed, and what can change
The basic category workflow—selecting shirts, pants, shoes, or hair and then using a text field or color wheel—is the most concrete customization guidance currently available. The official Roblox listing confirms the experience and the PC M menu shortcut but does not supply the appearance path. The community wiki supplies the category and color instructions, while its Part 2 page warns that its information is upcoming and subject to change. Consequently, screenshots, menu names, color formats, gamepass contents, and availability may not match every server or update. When the live interface conflicts with an older guide, follow the labels and controls shown by the current game client.
