Arc Raiders has two separate ways to increase what you can keep: upgrade the standard Stash from its screen in Speranza, and place storage furniture in your Outpost. Stash upgrades buy predictable account-wide capacity. Outpost furniture is item-specific storage unlocked through furniture designs, materials and Outpost projects. They are not the same inventory pool, so decorating the Outpost does not automatically add slots to the regular Stash.
The live client should be your final authority for prices, recipes and capacities. Frozen Trail changed the Stash progression, and current furniture details can vary with patches.
How the two storage systems differ
Your ordinary Stash is where items brought back from Topside are kept. Its capacity is expanded with the Expand control while viewing the Stash in Speranza. Outpost furniture is a separate storage route reported by the current guide: individual racks, shelves, tables and cabinets hold particular categories of items in your base.

Because these routes are independent, choose a Stash tier when you need general-purpose space immediately, and choose furniture when you need a convenient home for a specific category such as weapons, crafting materials or food.

How furniture designs work
Furniture designs were introduced with Frozen Trail update 2.0.0, dated October 8, 2026. The Arc Raiders Community Wiki reports 100 designs in total, attributing the count to Embark’s update. A design functions like a blueprint: once learned, it unlocks a craftable furniture item for the Outpost.

To find designs, search Topside for design drops, inspect your Outpost-upgrade rewards and check content tied to the Frozen Trail Pass or Collector Set DLC. The exact location of an individual design is not established by the available references, so use the design entry in your current collection rather than relying on an old location list.
Check a recipe before farming materials
Celeste is the reported trader for the new materials used to craft furniture. However, the cited furniture reference does not publish a complete cost list for individual designs. Open the design in the current furniture or crafting interface before deciding what to keep, sell or farm. The requirement can differ from one piece to another and may change in a patch.

Crafting furniture in the Outpost
Furniture crafting is separate from basic field crafting. Embark Studios’ Help Center describes field crafting as an Inventory action: open Inventory, select the Crafting tab, and use the material filter to show recipes supported by what you currently carry. That help page concerns improvised field items; it should not be treated as a complete list of workshop or Outpost-furniture recipes.

- Learn the design. When you acquire a furniture design, confirm that it appears as learned in your collection. An unlearned design cannot be crafted merely because you possess its materials.
- Go to the Outpost furniture interface. Select the learned design and read its current material list, placement requirement and storage description.
- Obtain the listed materials. Buy or trade for the relevant new furniture materials through Celeste when she offers them, and gather any other components named by the recipe.
- Craft the item. Confirm the design only after checking the quantity of every component. The available references do not establish universal costs, so do not substitute a copied table from an older version.
- Place it in an available Outpost slot. Choose a room and position that match the item’s footprint. Read the placement preview for collision or blocked-slot warnings before confirming.
- Test the storage description. After placement, open the furniture’s interaction panel and verify which item categories it accepts and how many positions it provides.
If you only want to make a field item, use Inventory > Crafting. If you want a chair, rack, shelf or cabinet for the Outpost, use the furniture/design interface instead; the two recipe lists are not interchangeable.
Unlocking the Outpost storage route
AllThingsHow’s October 13, 2026 guide describes the Outpost storage unlock as the three-part Sheltered Retreat project. The guide is a secondary source and warns that project requirements can change, so compare every step with the project panel in your client.
- Photograph the farmhouse. Take the required photograph of a farmhouse near the Ruined Homestead in the Farmlands’ Blue Gate.
- Deliver the construction materials. The guide lists 3 Planks, 5 Sheetmetal, 10 ARC Alloy and 10 Advanced Electrical Components.
- Damage airborne ARC machines. Deal 800 damage to airborne ARC machines.
- Damage a Bully. Deal 300 damage to a Bully.
- Claim the project result and inspect the new room or furniture slots. Do not assume that finishing the objective places storage automatically; open the Outpost layout and choose the furniture that fits your needs.
Use the project’s live checklist for the authoritative quantities. If a patch has changed a material, location label or damage target, the panel takes precedence over the guide’s snapshot.
What Outpost furniture can store
The current secondary guide reports several practical capacities, but the furniture descriptions in your game are the safest way to confirm them.

Expansion rooms add more furniture slots according to the same guide. It also says installed expansion rooms cannot be moved or swapped, a practical planning warning that is not corroborated by an official source. Treat the room choice as permanent until your client proves otherwise: plan your rack, shelf and cabinet layout before committing the placement.
Use furniture for category management, not just decoration
- Put weapon racks near the area where you manage your loadout so the four-position limit is easy to see.
- Reserve shelves for high-volume items if their description confirms the eight-item capacity.
- Use tables or cabinets for trinkets, food and crafting components only when their category list matches your intended stockpile.
- Keep a little empty furniture capacity. A full rack can make a new weapon appear to be missing when it simply has no open position.
Expanding the regular Stash in Speranza
The standard Stash starts at a reported 64 slots. The Arc Raiders Community Wiki says Frozen Trail 2.0.0 raised the normal ceiling from the former 280 slots to 328 by adding two tiers. That 328 figure excludes Expedition bonuses and capacity associated with Nomadic Envoys.
Exact menu path
- Return to Speranza.
- Open Inventory.
- Switch to the Stash view.
- Select Expand.
- Read the offered coin cost and the slot increase for the next tier.
- Confirm only if the price and capacity match your plan. The purchase is made from this panel, not from the Outpost furniture screen.
AllThingsHow’s guide, updated October 13, 2026, describes each purchase as a 24-slot increase and a level-12 total of 328 slots. It also warns that Frozen Trail revised currency and tier pricing. Therefore, the number displayed by Expand is the current authority, even if it differs from a table saved elsewhere.

The table’s prices are useful for budgeting, but they are not a promise that your client will show the same amounts. Earlier community tables retain pre-Frozen-Trail prices, and the community reference does not publish the later-tier costs. Do not spend coins based on an old screenshot; open Expand immediately before each purchase.
Additional capacity outside the 328-slot progression
The community reference reports 12 extra slots per completed Expedition. Those slots are described as separate from the 328-slot base progression. Nomadic Envoys are another separate opportunity, but the offer rotates, so its availability and capacity must be checked when the Envoy is active. Neither bonus should be added to the standard level table unless the game explicitly displays it as part of your current total.

A sensible progression is to buy early, affordable Stash tiers for universal space, then invest in furniture for the categories that consume the most slots. Compare the next 24-slot Stash purchase with the material and placement cost of the specific furniture piece you actually need; a decorative item with little storage value is not an efficient substitute for a tier upgrade.
Troubleshooting placement and storage problems
A design does not appear as craftable
- Confirm that the design is learned, rather than merely seen or collected.
- Open the furniture interface, not only Inventory > Crafting.
- Read the current recipe for missing materials; there is no published universal cost list to use as a fallback.
- Check whether the design belongs to the Frozen Trail Pass or Collector Set DLC and whether that content is available to your account.
The item cannot be placed or a slot cannot be selected
The furniture reference records reports of clipping through the Outpost structure and of an item blocking a slot so that it becomes unselectable. These are version-sensitive reports, not a guarantee that the issue remains in the current build. Leave the placement mode, reload the Outpost and try an unobstructed slot. If the problem persists, check the latest patch notes and submit a bug report with the furniture name, room and exact placement.

A Raider clips through a table
A seated Raider clipping through a table is another reported issue. It affects presentation rather than the storage count. Moving the table or changing the seating arrangement can avoid the visual problem while you wait for a version-specific fix.
The Stash price is different from a guide
Use the number shown in the Speranza Expand panel. Frozen Trail changed the currency and tier prices, and the published progression is a dated snapshot. Cancel the purchase if the displayed cost is not affordable, then return after earning more coins; do not assume an older table is still valid.
Furniture storage is not reducing the Stash count
That is expected if the furniture route is separate in your build. Move an item into the furniture piece and inspect its own inventory panel. Only items accepted by that piece should leave the Stash; a weapon rack will not function as a general-purpose storage box unless its description says so.
