To complete Scarily Sweet during Disney Dreamlight Valley’s 2026 Trick-or-Treat event, trick-or-treat at five eligible villager homes. Visit Mickey Mouse, WALL-E, Daisy, Stitch, Mike Wazowski and Jack Skellington, then interact with a lit jack-o’-lantern outside each home and finish the Trick-or-Treat prompt. Five successful interactions fill the duty to 5/5.
When Scarily Sweet is available
The 2026 Halloween event runs from October 14 through October 31, 2026. House pumpkins are available on the daily cycle from October 14–30. Used pumpkins become available again after the game’s daily reset, so you can finish the duty over multiple days if necessary. On October 31, candy buckets appear more frequently, but the house-interaction method still counts for Scarily Sweet.

At an eligible home, look for the lit jack-o’-lantern outside. That pumpkin is the interaction point; the villager does not need to be standing outdoors.

Step-by-step: complete the duty
- Open the Dreamlight Duties menu and find the seasonal Trick-or-Treat duties.
- Travel to any of the six eligible villager homes.
- Check for a lit jack-o’-lantern outside the house.
- Interact with the pumpkin and complete the Trick-or-Treat prompt with the villager.
- Repeat at four other eligible homes. The duty completes when the counter reaches 5/5.
Each completed interaction awards 5 Green Candy, 5 Red Candy and 5 Purple Candy. After you use a pumpkin, its light goes out. It will return after the daily reset, allowing another interaction on the next cycle.
Scarily Sweet rewards and milestone requirements
Scarily Sweet uses cumulative interaction milestones. The first five interactions complete the duty’s initial requirement and unlock the Halloween Town Gravestone recipe. Further interactions unlock additional Halloween Town recipes:

These are crafting recipes, not furniture sold by Scrooge McDuck’s shop. After unlocking a recipe through the seasonal duty, use a crafting station and provide the listed candy materials to make the item. The recipes must be earned while the Halloween event is active.

Scarily Sweet versus Sweet ’n’ Scary
The two seasonal duties both use Trick-or-Treat interactions but have different thresholds and rewards:

Progress is based on completed qualifying house interactions. A single Trick-or-Treat visit can therefore advance both duties when their requirements are still open.
If Scarily Sweet is not progressing
The pumpkin is not lit
An unlit pumpkin has already been used for the current cycle. Try another eligible home or wait until the daily reset.

You visited a different villager
Only the six named homes count. Candy buckets and Trick-or-Treat activity elsewhere do not substitute for the qualifying house interaction.
The counter stopped below 5/5
Confirm that you completed the interaction prompt rather than merely entering the house or speaking to the villager. Check the Dreamlight Duties menu after each completed visit to verify the counter increased.
You are playing outside the event window
The seasonal recipes and house-pumpkin duty are tied to the October 14–31, 2026 event. If the event is no longer active, the duty may not be available to start or finish.
