To complete Clean Hands in ARC Raiders, deploy to Pendola Pass, enter the underground Nomad Camp beneath the Railyard from the western side, search the yellow quest bag on the raised walkway, and take the Equatorial Sundial. Carry it to the top of the Old Town church, interact with the marked railing, then extract while the Sundial is still in your possession. After returning to Speranza, use the active quest tracker to determine whether your build also requires a hand-in to the Nomadic Envoy.
The camp has no published coordinate in the walkthroughs covering this quest. Use the Railyard as your landmark, approach from the west or southwest, and look for the pipe or tunnel leading toward the Transit Tunnel.
What Clean Hands requires
Clean Hands is a multi-stage quest associated with the Frozen Trail content and the Pendola Pass map. Its objectives are split between an underground search, an Old Town interaction and an extraction. The Nomad Camp is not a separate surface settlement: it is directly below the Railyard, near the central part of the map.
The reliable sequence is:
- Deploy to Pendola Pass with Clean Hands active.
- Reach the west or southwest side of the Railyard.
- Follow the pipe, drainage route or tunnel toward the Transit Tunnel and descend into the camp.
- Search the yellow bag on the camp’s raised metal walkway and take the Equatorial Sundial.
- Bring the Sundial to the top of the Old Town church and use the marked railing.
- Extract with the item.
- Back in Speranza, follow the tracker. Some current walkthroughs show a final delivery to the Nomadic Envoy, while others end the quest at extraction.
Because the last condition is reported differently, do not assume that extraction alone has completed the quest until the in-game tracker changes to a completed state.

Prepare before deploying
Activate the right quest
Select Clean Hands in the quest menu before launching the raid. Keeping it active makes the relevant search and interaction markers easier to recognize and prevents confusion with ordinary loot bags in the same area.
Leave inventory room
The Equatorial Sundial occupies an inventory slot. Enter with at least one free slot so the search interaction cannot be blocked by a full loadout. If your augment includes a Safe Pocket, it can be used to reduce the chance of losing the Sundial if the run goes badly. It is a risk-management option, not a stated requirement for every loadout.
Plan for a complete run
You are not finished when the bag is searched. The item must remain with you while you reach Old Town, perform the church interaction and complete extraction. Treat the raid as an item-carry mission rather than a quick pickup: avoid unnecessary detours after taking the Sundial and keep the extraction objective visible.

Before deploying, note the exact wording of the first objective. After every interaction, pause long enough to see the tracker change. This is especially useful when the game shows several nearby containers or when the church prompt appears only from the correct railing. A short inventory check after the bag search confirms that the item was actually collected before you commit to the cross-map trip.
Where is the Railyard Nomad Camp under the Railyard?
Use the Railyard as the surface landmark
Walkthroughs place the Railyard close to the center of Pendola Pass, with the Nomad Camp immediately underneath it. No source gives a dependable map coordinate, so a coordinate-based route cannot be verified. From the Railyard, move toward its western or southwestern edge instead of searching the open rail yard for a tent or building.
Find the western underground entrance
Look for a large pipe, drainage opening or tunnel that leads inward toward the Transit Tunnel. Different guides use different names for the same access route, but they describe the same approach: the entrance is on the west side and takes you below the Railyard.
- Locate the Railyard on the Pendola Pass map.
- Circle to the west or southwest perimeter.
- Check for the pipe or passage heading toward the Transit Tunnel.
- Follow the route underground rather than continuing across the surface rail lines.
- Continue until the passage opens onto the camp’s raised metal walkways.
The camp’s elevated walkways are the visual confirmation that you are in the correct place. If you remain in open terrain or reach ordinary rail infrastructure without a descending passage, you are still outside the camp.
Why the entrance is easy to miss
The camp is vertically separated from the landmark used to describe it. “Under the Railyard” identifies the area, not a visible entrance in the middle of the yard. Searching only around rail cars or surface structures can therefore waste time. The western-side approach is the consistent navigation cue across current walkthroughs; the exact appearance may read as a pipe, drainage channel or tunnel depending on the angle and lighting.
Rank #2
How to tell whether you took the wrong route
If the route keeps you on broad surface tracks, you have not reached the access passage. Likewise, a dead end with no metal walkway usually indicates a side drainage route rather than the camp entrance. Return to the western perimeter and look for the passage that continues toward the Transit Tunnel. The raised walkways, not a particular doorway, are the decisive confirmation.
Search the yellow bag for the Equatorial Sundial
Identify the quest container
Once you reach the raised walkway inside the underground camp, look for a yellow bag. This is the quest container for Clean Hands, not a random loot container. Interact with it and complete the search to obtain the Equatorial Sundial, described in the quest text as the polluted item.
Confirm that the item was taken
Check your inventory immediately after searching. The next objective should direct you toward the Old Town church. If the Sundial does not appear, verify that the interaction finished rather than being interrupted, that a slot was available, and that Clean Hands was active when you entered the raid.
Protect the item during the remainder of the raid
If a Safe Pocket is available in your current augment setup, placing the Sundial there may protect it from some loss scenarios. The guides present this as optional advice, and the quest does not establish it as universally mandatory. Without one, the practical requirement is simply to keep the Sundial in your normal inventory until extraction.
Do not leave immediately after the pickup
Remain on the walkway for a moment after taking the Sundial and watch for the objective update. If the marker does not change, reopen the bag or inventory and confirm that the item is present. Repeating the interaction without checking the tracker can send you toward Old Town while the collection step is still incomplete.
Take the Sundial to the Old Town church
Travel from the camp to Old Town
After collecting the item, follow the quest marker toward Old Town. The target is the church tower, not a ground-level church doorway or an unrelated building in the district. Keep the Sundial with you throughout the move; dropping or losing it can prevent the later interaction from registering.
Reach the tower top
A current route describes climbing the church’s spiral stairs and then using a zipline to reach the top of the tower. Follow the available vertical route until you arrive at the upper platform. The objective is completed at the top, so interacting with the church from the street or from a lower floor will not advance Clean Hands.

Use the marked railing
At the tower top, locate the railing highlighted by the quest objective and interact with it. This displays the Equatorial Sundial and advances the mission. Wait for the interaction and objective update to finish before leaving the tower; moving away too quickly can make it appear that the action failed when the prompt was simply interrupted.
Rank #3
Check the display before descending
The church step is a specific interaction, not merely reaching the tower. Confirm that the railing prompt appears and that the tracker advances after the display animation. If you only climbed to an upper landing, continue upward until the marked railing is visible. Do not start the return trip while the tracker still names the church interaction.
Extract with the Sundial on Pendola Pass
Do not treat the church interaction as the end
The Sundial must survive the extraction portion. Completing the railing interaction does not remove the item from the run, so continue carrying it until you are safely out. If you are using a Safe Pocket, confirm that the item is actually in that protected slot rather than assuming it moved there automatically.
Use the Pendola Pass gondola extraction
The Pendola Pass walkthroughs describe a gondola-based extraction sequence:
- Reach an extraction area shown by the current objective.
- Activate the radio beacon console.
- Locate the gondola after the beacon is active.
- Enter the gondola and remain inside through the extraction process.
- Verify that the raid has ended and the Sundial was retained.
The exact extraction point can vary with the active objective, so use the marker and the tracker rather than heading to an assumed fixed coordinate. If the gondola is not present, the beacon console may not have been activated yet, or you may be at the wrong extraction location.
What happens if the run fails
If you are eliminated before extraction and the Sundial is not protected, you may need to repeat the camp search. The quest item is tied to the current run, so a failed carry should be treated as a recovery problem rather than evidence that the church objective is permanently broken. On the next attempt, leave inventory space, take the western entrance directly and avoid optional fights after collecting the item.
Keep the extraction sequence in order
Reaching an extraction zone is not the same as completing extraction. Activate the radio beacon console first, wait for the gondola to become available, then board it with the Sundial still secured. If you leave the area to search for another point, the item remains at risk and the objective may not progress until the correct beacon and gondola are used.
Does Clean Hands require a Nomadic Envoy hand-in?
Current walkthroughs disagree about the final step. One set lists extraction as the endpoint; others instruct you to deliver the Equatorial Sundial to the Nomadic Envoy in Speranza after returning from the raid. This difference may reflect quest-state, guide timing or an update to the objective sequence, and no official developer quest page or patch note establishes one universal condition in the current material.

Use the tracker as the authority for your save:
- If Clean Hands is marked complete after extraction, no additional action is required.
- If the tracker says to deliver or hand in the Sundial, return to Speranza and locate the Nomadic Envoy indicated by the objective marker.
- Interact with the Envoy and wait for the completion notification rather than leaving after opening the dialogue.
Do not discard the Sundial or start another raid until you have checked this state. The disputed hand-in is the only notable inconsistency in the current walkthroughs.

Troubleshooting the Railyard Nomad Camp route
I cannot find the camp entrance
Re-center on the Railyard and search its west or southwest side. The camp is below the landmark, so looking for a surface camp in the rail yard will not work. Follow a pipe, drainage route or tunnel toward the Transit Tunnel and continue until you see raised metal walkways. If you have reached Old Town or another surface district, you passed the intended entrance.
The yellow bag is missing
First confirm that Clean Hands was active before deployment and that you reached the raised walkway rather than a lower passage or a different loot area. Search the yellow bag at the walkway carefully; the quest interaction can be easy to overlook among other containers. If the bag was searched but the tracker did not advance, check that the Equatorial Sundial entered your inventory and that you had an empty slot.
The church interaction does not progress
Make sure you are at the top of the Old Town church tower. The intended interaction is at the marked railing after climbing the spiral stairs and, where available, using the zipline. A lower-floor interaction will not satisfy the objective. Keep the Sundial in your inventory, stand at the highlighted railing and allow the complete interaction animation or progress indicator to finish.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsThe gondola is not available
Read the active extraction objective in full. Pendola Pass guides describe activating a radio beacon console before locating the gondola. If you skip the console, the gondola may not appear or may not be usable. If the console is active, verify that you are at the extraction area marked for this raid rather than another point on the map.
The quest still asks for delivery after extraction
This is the reported hand-in discrepancy, not necessarily a failed extraction. Return to Speranza only if the tracker explicitly requests delivery, then follow its Nomadic Envoy marker. If the tracker instead shows completion, the quest is finished and no Envoy interaction is needed.
I lost the Sundial before extraction
A Safe Pocket can reduce the risk when your augment supports it, but it is not guaranteed to be part of every loadout. Without that protection, an elimination can require another run to collect the item from the yellow bag. On the retry, make the camp the first objective, verify the inventory pickup, and avoid unnecessary combat on the way to Old Town and the gondola.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.A low-risk way to run the quest
For a safer attempt, treat each objective as a checkpoint. Before entering the underground route, confirm the quest and an empty slot. After searching the yellow bag, verify the Sundial in inventory. At the church, wait for the railing objective to update. Before leaving the tower, confirm that the extraction objective is active. At the extraction area, activate the beacon console before looking for the gondola. After the raid, check the tracker in Speranza before deciding whether to visit the Nomadic Envoy.

Version and source limitations
Walkthroughs published or updated on October 8–9, 2026 associate Clean Hands with the Frozen Trail update and Pendola Pass, but they do not provide an independently verified official patch number. Directions that depend on exact coordinates, guaranteed enemy behavior, rewards or a universal final hand-in are therefore not established. The stable route is the western passage beneath the Railyard, the raised walkway and yellow bag, the Old Town church tower railing, and extraction with the Sundial.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you complete Clean Hands in ARC Raiders?
Deploy to Pendola Pass with the quest active, enter the underground Nomad Camp beneath the Railyard from the west or southwest, search the yellow bag on the raised walkway, and take the Equatorial Sundial. Bring it to the top of the Old Town church, interact with the marked railing, extract with it, then check the tracker in Speranza for any Nomadic Envoy hand-in.
Where is the Nomad Camp under the Railyard?

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIs the Safe Pocket augment required for Clean Hands?
No. A Safe Pocket is optional risk reduction. It may protect the Sundial from some loss scenarios, but the quest does not establish it as mandatory for every loadout. The essential requirement is keeping the item in your inventory through the church interaction and extraction.
What do I do with the Equatorial Sundial?
Take it from the yellow quest bag in the Nomad Camp, carry it to the top of the Old Town church, and interact with the marked railing to display it. Keep it with you afterward and use the Pendola Pass extraction sequence, including the radio beacon console and gondola.
Why is the gondola missing at extraction?
Read the current extraction objective and make sure you activated the radio beacon console first. The gondola is described as appearing after the beacon step. If it still is not available, confirm that you are at the extraction area marked for this raid rather than another point on Pendola Pass.
Do I have to visit the Nomadic Envoy after extracting?
Walkthroughs differ: some end Clean Hands at extraction, while others show a delivery to the Nomadic Envoy in Speranza. Check your quest tracker after returning. Visit the Envoy only if the tracker explicitly requests delivery, and wait for the completion notification after interacting.
