The reliable way to track ARC Raiders quests is to use the in-game quest log for the quests your Raider has accepted, then follow the active objective shown on the HUD during a raid. For route planning, group objectives by map, check prerequisites and single-round requirements, and confirm each completion or turn-in in the quest list. Third-party trackers can fill in maps, rewards and checklists, but their totals are not official and currently disagree.
This guide explains the objective types, a repeatable route-planning process, the verified Tracks of the Beast route, and what the published quest counts do—and do not—tell you. Because ARC Raiders is a live service, use the current in-game list as the final authority for what is available to your Raider.
What quest tracking shows in ARC Raiders
Quests generally ask you to travel to a named place, locate or carry an item, interact with a landmark or object, or destroy specified ARC machines. A single quest can combine several of these verbs, so read the complete objective text before entering a raid rather than planning from its title alone.

The quest log is your accepted-quest inventory
Open the game’s quest log or logbook to see the missions your current Raider has accepted and the objective text attached to each one. An independent guide describes accepted quests as appearing in the logbook, but interface labels and menu locations can change with updates. If your build uses different wording, follow the screen that lists accepted or active quests rather than relying on an older button name.

- ARC Raiders Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the following content: The Wanderer Set, including the following cosmetic items: “Valente” Outfit" “Pathfinder” Backpack,“Blanket Roll” Backpack Attachment.
- Plus: Character Cosmetic, Finger Gun Rapid Fire Emote, Cowboy Scrappy Body Type and Skin, 2 400 Raider Tokens.
The HUD is the in-raid progress check
When a quest is active, its current step is shown on the in-raid HUD according to that guide. Use the HUD to verify that a location visit, interaction, ping or machine kill registered before you leave the area. If the objective does not advance, reread the verb: “find,” “interact,” “ping,” “destroy,” “extract” and “turn in” are different requirements.
How to see how many quests are left
There is no verified official counter that establishes one universal “quests remaining” number for every player. Your personal remainder is the set of incomplete entries in your current quest list, including missions that are locked until a prerequisite is finished. A database total may include quests released in a different update, count entries differently, or include content not yet unlocked for your Raider. Count the incomplete entries visible in-game, and treat external totals as planning aids.
Read the objective before you choose a route
Travel and landmark objectives
Travel steps require reaching the named map area or point of interest. Plan from the recognized map name and a nearby named landmark, especially when a quest uses a descriptive phrase such as “northern tracks.” Enter the map shown by the quest, then use the HUD text to confirm that the game has registered the correct zone; passing near a similarly named location may not count.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteFind, carry and extract objectives
“Find” can mean locating an object at a specified place, while “carry” or “extract” adds a requirement to leave the raid with that item. Keep the objective item secure until the relevant extraction step is complete if the game allows you to do so. The available evidence does not establish a universal rule that every quest item is retained automatically, so do not assume that an item in your stash or inventory satisfies a later turn-in.
Rank #2
Interact, ping and machine-kill objectives
Interaction steps require using a particular object or place. A ping step requires identifying the requested target with the game’s ping function; simply seeing or damaging the target may not count. Combat steps name the ARC machine to defeat, so killing a different machine does not substitute for it. Read quantities literally: “destroy three” is not complete after one kill.
A pre-raid procedure that prevents wasted runs
- Open the current quest list. Record every incomplete quest available to your Raider, including its map, objective verb, quantity and any prerequisite note.
- Check the chain order. Some newer missions are locked behind earlier missions. Finish the prerequisite or identify the exact earlier step before planning the locked mission.
- Group compatible objectives by map. Select quests that can be completed in the same location and note the order of landmarks so you do not cross the map unnecessarily.
- Flag one-round missions. If the description says all steps must be completed in one round, plan the full sequence before deploying. Do not treat a partial run as progress you can safely finish later.
- Separate required and optional work. Write the core completion conditions apart from bonus kills, extra loot or optional extraction tasks. Optional tasks can consume time or inventory space without being necessary to clear the quest.
- Confirm the exit condition. Decide whether the quest requires only an in-raid action, a successful extraction with an item, or a return to a quest giver for turn-in. If the description does not state a turn-in or extraction requirement, do not infer one from a guide for another mission.
- Review the route immediately before deployment. Quest text and availability can change after a patch. Use the current description in your client as the final check on spelling, quantities and map names.
Verified route example: Tracks of the Beast
PC Gamer’s guide dated October 9, 2026 describes Tracks of the Beast. It is a useful example of why the single-round condition and optional steps must be read separately from the core objective.
| Quest field | What the published route establishes |
|---|---|
| Quest name | Tracks of the Beast |
| Map | Pendola Pass |
| Required route | Travel to the northern tracks, then follow them south toward Almatera Station. |
| Required target actions | Ping a Bully and a Skulker. |
| Round condition | PC Gamer says all steps must be completed in a single round. |
| Optional steps mentioned | Destroy three Skulkers and extract a Skulker Targeter. |
| Quest giver, prerequisite and reward | Not stated in the available route; verify these fields in the live quest description. |
| Turn-in requirement | Not stated in the available route; check the quest log after extraction or completion. |
Step-by-step route
- Accept or select Tracks of the Beast in the current quest list and make it the active objective.
- Deploy to Pendola Pass.
- Navigate to the northern tracks. Use the map’s recognized names and the HUD objective rather than assuming that any track or trail is the correct one.
- Follow the tracks south in the direction of Almatera Station.
- When a Bully is present, use the game’s ping action on that target and watch the HUD for registration.
- Repeat the ping requirement for a Skulker.
- Complete every required step in that same round, then extract if the live description requires extraction. After the raid, open the quest log to verify completion and any turn-in prompt.
Do not confuse the optional work with completion
The route also mentions destroying three Skulkers and extracting a Skulker Targeter as optional steps. Those are not the same as the core instruction to ping a Bully and a Skulker. Attempt the optional objectives only after the required pings are registered and only if the current quest screen labels them as optional or bonus objectives. The guide’s location names and single-round condition should be checked against the live client after updates.

Quest lists can show missions that are not immediately playable. PC Gamer notes that some newer missions are locked behind earlier missions. A locked entry is therefore not proof that the quest has disappeared or that your list is complete.
Rank #3
How to work through a chain
- Open the locked quest and record the prerequisite wording exactly as shown.
- Find the named prerequisite in your accepted or available list.
- Complete its objectives and any stated extraction or turn-in step.
- Return to the quest list and refresh it before planning the newly unlocked mission.
- Rebuild your map grouping: the newly available mission may share a location with another incomplete quest.
If no prerequisite appears in your client, do not import one from a third-party list without checking its update date. Services can lag behind a patch or use a different definition of “available.”
Why published quest totals do not agree
At the time covered by the available 2026 pages, three sources reported different totals. These figures are publisher-reported page states, not an official in-game statistic.
| Reported total | Publisher and context | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | PC Gamer, 2026; its article says “as of the Riven Tides update” and the page is dated May 1, 2026. | A snapshot tied to that update and article date. |
| 103 | Arc Raiders AI, 2026 page state; no publication date is shown, and the page was crawled in the week before the count was recorded. | A tracker listing whose update timing and counting rules may differ. |
| 122 | MetaForge, 2026 page state; the tracker page was crawled on the research date and has no stated publication date. | Another tracker total, not a reconciled official count. |
The pages may count different releases, hidden or locked entries, or categories of mission. Do not average the numbers or present one as the definitive total. For the October 13, 2026 state, no authoritative official count was established in the available material. The only dependable answer to “how many are left?” is the incomplete, currently available entries in your own in-game quest list.
Using external quest trackers without losing control of progress
External databases are useful when you are planning several raids, but they are supplementary tools rather than official game features. Compare them by the information they expose, how they save progress and whether they require an account connection.

| Service | Features described by the service | What to verify before relying on it |
|---|---|---|
| Arc Raiders AI | Lists quest objectives and rewards, provides a checkable quest list, and includes item shopping lists according to its page. | Check the page’s update context and manually reconcile its list with the current in-game entries. |
| MetaForge | Says it can sync completed and active quests from an Embark account, save checkmarks for signed-in users, and prioritize “Next up” quests using unlocks, same-map opportunities, rewards and XP. | Confirm what account permissions and data are requested, read the current privacy terms, and verify that synchronization reflects the latest patch. |
| RaiderBuddy | Describes a game-data sync feature and explicitly identifies itself as a fan project unaffiliated with Embark Studios or ARC Raiders. | Treat sync status and data handling as changeable; review its current privacy terms before linking an account. |
Manual checklist or account sync?
A manual checklist is appropriate when you only need map, objective and reward references and do not want to connect an account. Account sync can reduce duplicate marking across devices and may identify active quests automatically, but it introduces an account-access and privacy decision. No external service should replace the in-game confirmation that a quest is actually complete.
A safe workflow for a tracker
- Use the service to filter quests by the map you plan to enter.
- Compare each selected quest’s objective, prerequisite and reward with the current client text.
- Mark only objectives you have confirmed in-game; do not assume a stale checkmark represents the current Raider state.
- If linking an account, read the service’s current privacy and authorization terms first and use only the permissions you understand.
- After a patch, clear or recheck affected entries instead of trusting an unchanged route.
Common tracking problems and fixes
The objective did not advance
- Check that the quest is active, not merely accepted.
- Confirm that you used the exact required verb: a ping is not a kill, and a visit is not an interaction.
- Verify the named map and landmark on the current quest screen.
- For a quantity, count only the specified target type.
You completed part of a mission but it reset
Look for a single-round instruction. Tracks of the Beast, for example, requires all its steps in one round according to PC Gamer’s October 9, 2026 guide. A reset may therefore be the intended rule rather than a tracking error.
The quest is missing from the list
Refresh the quest screen, check whether a prerequisite chain is blocking it, and compare the current build’s availability with the date of any guide you are using. Live-service content can be added, moved or renamed.

The tracker says a quest exists, but the game does not show it
Use the game as the authority for your Raider. The tracker may reflect a newer or older update, a different counting method, or content that is locked. Do not plan a raid around an entry you cannot select in-game.

You extracted with an objective item but received no completion
Reopen the quest text and check whether extraction is required, whether a separate interaction or turn-in remains, and whether the item must be delivered to a named giver. The available material does not establish a universal retention or turn-in rule, so verify the specific mission rather than applying a general assumption.
A repeatable completion plan for every currently available quest
To clear the quests actually available to your Raider, maintain one current list and process it in passes:
- Inventory pass: copy each incomplete in-game entry, its prerequisite state, map, quantities and required verbs.
- Unlock pass: complete blocking missions in chain order and refresh the list after every unlock.
- Route pass: group objectives by map and arrange landmarks into a practical sequence.
- Constraint pass: mark single-round, extraction and turn-in conditions in a separate column so they cannot be overlooked.
- Raid pass: keep the active objective visible, confirm each step on the HUD and avoid optional work until core requirements are registered.
- Verification pass: after the raid, confirm completion in the quest log and record only what the game has accepted.
- Refresh pass: repeat the inventory pass after patches or content updates; do not carry an old total forward as if it were official.
This method gives you a defensible answer to what remains without pretending that a third-party total is universal. It also scales when new quests arrive: the in-game list identifies what your Raider can do, while a tracker supplies optional route and reward detail.
