Short answer: a finished vivo T6x-versus-iQOO Z12x specification shootout is not possible yet. A report dated October 6, 2026 links the names to Bluetooth SIG certification entries—vivo model V2652 and iQOO model I2604—but the entries reportedly disclose neither specifications nor launch timing. Treat the phones as unannounced until each brand publishes an official product page and a matching retail listing.
What is actually confirmed about the vivo T6x and iQOO Z12x?
The current evidence is a certification report, not a retail announcement. MobileTelco reported on October 6, 2026 that a Bluetooth SIG listing included the vivo T6x 5G under model number V2652 and the iQOO Z12x 5G under model number I2604. The report says the listing provides no specifications and no release schedule.
A Bluetooth qualification entry can show that a product name and model identifier have appeared in a certification database. It does not, by itself, establish the final processor, cameras, battery, dimensions, software version, price, countries of sale or even whether a retail launch will follow on a particular timetable. Those details need to come from official vivo and iQOO announcements and region-specific store pages.

Are the vivo T6x and iQOO Z12x the same phone?
That has not been established. Similar naming, a shared certification window or matching predecessor specifications do not prove that the T6x and Z12x are rebrands or hardware twins.
A genuine rebrand would normally be demonstrated by matching official details such as the complete model identifiers, dimensions, display characteristics, camera sensors, charging system, software build and regulatory information. Until both brands publish those details, any claim that one phone is the other under a different logo is speculation.
Do not use an apparent match in one headline feature as proof of identity. Two phones can share a chipset or battery rating while differing in cellular bands, memory options, cameras, thermal tuning, software support, warranty coverage and price.

Why the vivo T5x and iQOO Z11x are useful only as background
The latest official predecessor pages provide context for the product families, but none of their specifications should be copied onto the T6x or Z12x. The following figures are manufacturer-listed specifications for the older phones, not confirmed specifications for the prospective models.

vivo lists the T5x specifications on its India product page. The iQOO figures come from the iQOO India E-Store page for the Z11x. The pages show several matching headline figures, but they describe separate older products and do not predict what the successors will ship with.
There is also a durability caveat specific to the T5x page: vivo states, “This product is not a professional waterproof phone,” and says resistance may diminish through daily use. That wording belongs to the T5x page only; it is not a T6x durability rating. Do not infer an ingress-protection class for either new model until its own regional specification page states one.

What to check first when official pages appear
When the two phones are announced, collect the information from the same market and, where possible, the same type of retailer. Regional variants can differ in network bands, memory, charging equipment, software and warranty.

- Capture launch and sale details. Note the announcement date, first-sale date, local currency price, introductory terms, storage tier and whether the phone is actually in stock.
- Match equivalent configurations. Compare 6 GB/128 GB with 6 GB/128 GB, or 8 GB/256 GB with 8 GB/256 GB. A cheaper phone with less memory is not a fair price comparison.
- Save the official specification sheets. Record processor model, display figures, battery rating, charging standard, camera sensors, dimensions, weight and software version before reading reviews.
- Check support commitments. Look for the promised Android-version upgrades, security-update period, service-centre coverage and warranty terms in your country.
- Wait for independent testing. Use credible reviews for sustained performance, battery endurance, charging time, camera samples, display readability and thermal behaviour. Manufacturer claims and independent measurements are different evidence.
Processor and performance: what a fair comparison requires
Identify the exact chip, not just the family name
Record the complete processor designation and any regional variation. A shared platform name does not guarantee identical clock limits, cooling, memory type or software tuning. Confirm whether both phones use the same RAM standard and storage technology as well as the same nominal memory capacity.
Separate specifications from measured performance
Once reviews exist, look for repeatable CPU and GPU results, sustained-load behaviour, temperature, throttling and game performance. A single short benchmark run can reward a brief boost and miss performance after several minutes of heat. Compare tests performed under similar software versions and power modes.
No independent performance results for the exact T6x or Z12x were established in the current material. Do not present predecessor performance, chipset reputation or a benchmark from another handset as evidence for either model.
Match the workload to your use
- Everyday use: prioritize reliable app launches, memory management, modem stability and low heat.
- Gaming: check sustained frame rates, touch response, thermal throttling and whether the display refresh rate is maintained.
- Long-term ownership: give weight to update support and storage headroom, not only launch-day benchmark scores.
Display: compare more than refresh rate
For each regional model, record panel technology, diagonal size, resolution, refresh-rate modes, peak and typical brightness, touch-sampling behaviour, colour modes and protective glass. Outdoor legibility depends heavily on measured brightness and automatic-brightness behaviour, neither of which can be inferred from a model name.
The T5x predecessor uses a 6.76-inch LCD at 2,344 × 1,080 with up to 120 Hz, while the Z11x page lists the same size and resolution. Those are historical reference points only. Wait for the T6x and Z12x pages to state whether the panels, refresh modes and brightness are unchanged.

In reviews, check readability in direct sunlight, minimum brightness in a dark room, viewing angles, PWM or flicker behaviour and whether high refresh rate remains available at the chosen resolution. A 120 Hz claim may be an upper limit rather than a mode maintained in every app.
Battery and charging: interpret the numbers correctly
Capacity is not endurance
Compare the manufacturer-rated battery capacity in the same way for both devices, then look for standardized or clearly described endurance tests. Network strength, screen brightness, refresh mode, gaming and background apps can change results substantially.
Charging wattage is not charge time
Record the advertised charging wattage, charger-in-box policy, supported protocols and any conditions attached to the claim. Independent charge-time tests should state starting percentage, temperature, screen state and whether the supplied charger was used.

Both predecessor pages list 7,200 mAh and 44 W, but those figures do not establish the capacities or charging speeds of the T6x and Z12x. Treat them as family background, not as a forecast.
Check battery-related trade-offs
- Higher capacity can increase weight and thickness.
- Fast charging can depend on a proprietary adapter or cable.
- Some regions may ship without the fastest charger.
- Battery-health features, charge limits and replacement support matter over several years.
Camera comparison: hardware, software and evidence
Do not rank the phones from megapixel counts alone. Record the main, ultrawide, macro or depth cameras separately; identify sensor sizes, stabilization, autofocus and flash; and list supported video resolutions, frame rates and stabilization modes.
Independent sample-based reviews are especially important for processing differences. Compare daylight detail, HDR highlights, skin tones, night scenes, moving subjects, portrait-edge handling and front-camera video. Check whether all advertised modes work at the highest resolution and whether switching lenses changes colour or exposure.

The predecessor pages list 50 MP + 2 MP rear cameras and a 32 MP front camera for each older phone. Those numbers are not evidence that the successors will use the same sensors or produce the same images. No independent camera testing for the exact T6x or Z12x is currently established.

At launch, note the Android version, the manufacturer interface version, preinstalled applications, bootloader policy and update schedule. Ask whether the stated support period applies in your country and whether security patches are monthly, quarterly or unspecified.
Warranty and service can outweigh a small specification advantage. Verify the authorized service network, turnaround process, accidental-damage terms, spare-parts availability and whether the warranty follows the purchasing country. Imported units may have different bands, chargers, software and support eligibility.
Include the total local cost: handset, required charger if omitted, delivery, taxes and any storage-tier premium. Do not compare an official local price with an imported grey-market listing as if they provide the same protection.

Record official weight and dimensions for the exact variant. Large batteries, cooling hardware and camera modules can make two phones with similar screens feel very different in a pocket or one-handed use.
Confirm 5G bands, 4G fallback bands, Wi-Fi generation, Bluetooth version, NFC, navigation systems, SIM configuration, microSD support, headphone jack and USB capabilities. Certification of Bluetooth connectivity does not reveal the complete radio specification.

For durability, look for an explicit IP rating, glass type, frame material and warranty exclusions. Do not turn a general statement about splash resistance into a waterproof guarantee, and do not transfer the T5x page’s warning to the T6x.

Which one should you choose?
Do not choose between the T6x and Z12x on the present evidence. Neither exact phone has a confirmed retail specification sheet or launch schedule in the reported material, and no exact-model performance, battery, camera or charging tests are available.
If you need a phone immediately, choose from models that are officially sold in your country and whose warranty, bands, software support and tested performance you can verify. Do not buy a T5x or Z11x while assuming it is equivalent to the T6x or Z12x; they are predecessor products.
When both successors are officially available, select the one that wins on your priorities after matching region and configuration. A sensible order is: support and warranty, network compatibility, sustained performance, display readability, battery behaviour, camera results, ergonomics and then price. This prevents a tempting headline number from hiding a costly regional or service limitation.
How to avoid common comparison mistakes
- Using a rumor as a specification: label certification information as confirmation of an entry only.
- Copying predecessor figures: keep T5x and Z11x data in a clearly marked historical section.
- Assuming a rebrand: demand matching official hardware and regional documentation.
- Comparing unequal variants: align RAM, storage, region and included accessories.
- Equating capacity with battery life: wait for comparable endurance testing.
- Equating wattage with charging speed: check measured charge time and charger conditions.
- Ignoring support: verify updates, warranty and service before importing a cheaper unit.
- Trusting a single benchmark or camera sample: look for sustained, repeatable testing across several reviews.
What would make the comparison conclusive?
A reliable buying decision needs four pieces of evidence for each country: an official product page, a matching authorized-retailer listing, a complete regional specification sheet and independent testing of the shipping software. Once those exist, the model codes V2652 and I2604 can be checked against the retail devices rather than treated as the whole identity.
Recheck official vivo and iQOO pages and local retailer listings immediately before publication or purchase. Prices, configurations, launch dates and availability are volatile, and a certification entry alone cannot answer those questions.
