Samsung and Nothing publish different regional configurations and specifications for these phones, so the fairest comparison is to match the exact model, storage and local price before buying. Samsung’s official specifications detail the Galaxy A37 5G’s display, cameras, water resistance and update policy. Nothing’s regional pages identify an 8GB/128GB Phone (4b) in India and publish display and battery details for the UK; those market-specific figures should not be treated as universal.
At a glance: Galaxy A37 5G vs Phone (4b)
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy A37 5G | Nothing Phone (4b) |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED, up to 120Hz, according to Samsung’s UK specifications: Samsung UK. | 6.77-inch Super AMOLED with adaptive 120Hz refresh, according to Nothing’s UK product page: Nothing UK. |
| Rear cameras | 50MP + 8MP + 5MP, according to Samsung’s UK specifications: Samsung UK. | 50MP main camera; Nothing’s India page also lists 4K video. The cited page does not establish the full camera configuration: Nothing India. |
| Front camera | 12MP, according to Samsung’s UK specifications: Samsung UK. | Not stated on the cited Nothing India or UK pages. |
| Battery | 5,000mAh typical capacity, according to Samsung’s UK specifications: Samsung UK. | 5,200mAh on Nothing’s UK page. Nothing’s India page lists 6,000mAh for India only: Nothing UK and Nothing India. |
| Water and dust protection | IP68, according to Samsung’s UK product information: Samsung UK. | Not established by the cited Nothing pages. |
| Software support | Samsung says the model supports up to six OS upgrades and six years of security updates: Samsung UK. | Nothing’s India page identifies Nothing OS and Essential AI tools, but the cited pages do not state a comparable update commitment: Nothing India. |
| Listed configuration | Check the regional listing for the exact storage tier; the cited Samsung pages do not establish a directly comparable configuration here. | Nothing’s India page identifies an 8GB/128GB variant: Nothing India. |
Which phone has the better display?
The published UK figures give the Phone (4b) a slightly larger screen: 6.77 inches versus 6.7 inches for the Galaxy A37 5G. Both manufacturers specify AMOLED displays and refresh rates up to 120Hz; Nothing describes its rate as adaptive. Samsung identifies its panel as FHD+ Super AMOLED. The cited Nothing UK page does not provide a matching resolution figure, so these details do not establish which screen is sharper or better in use.
What do the camera specifications tell you?
Samsung lists three rear cameras on the A37 5G: a 50MP main camera, an 8MP camera and a 5MP camera, plus a 12MP front camera. Nothing’s India page identifies a 50MP main camera and 4K video recording, but the regional information cited here does not provide a directly comparable full camera specification.
Megapixel counts and video-resolution support do not establish image quality. No independent head-to-head camera test or benchmark is available in the sources cited here, so a claim that either phone takes better photos would go beyond the evidence.

Battery capacity and charging
Samsung specifies a typical 5,000mAh battery for the Galaxy A37 5G. Nothing lists 5,200mAh for the UK Phone (4b), while its India page lists 6,000mAh for that market. Because the India capacity differs from the UK figure, check the specification for the country where you intend to buy rather than assuming every Phone (4b) has the same battery.
Nothing calls the Phone (4b) “our longest-lasting phone yet.” That is the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent battery-life measurement. The cited pages do not provide comparable charging specifications or test results, so capacity alone cannot settle which phone lasts longer or recharges faster.

Water resistance and software support
Samsung advertises IP68 protection for the Galaxy A37 5G. The cited Nothing product pages do not establish a comparable rating for the Phone (4b), so there is no supported basis here for treating the two as equally protected.

Price difference: compare local listings, not launch price to a changing marketplace quote
Samsung’s US newsroom announced a Galaxy A37 5G starting price of $449.99, with US availability beginning April 9, 2026. That is a US launch price; it is not a current global street price or a like-for-like comparison with the Phone (4b). Samsung also said Awesome White would be available at Amazon.com. See Samsung’s US announcement.
A comparison listing showed prices in Indian rupees, but the displayed values changed between its search-result capture and opened-page view. Those figures are not a stable price difference. Check current listings in your country and compare the same storage capacity, seller, color and warranty terms; Nothing’s cited India page identifies an 8GB/128GB Phone (4b), while an equivalent Samsung tier must be confirmed from the local listing. A third-party comparison page is available at 91mobiles, but its changing prices should not be treated as fixed.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose based on documented long-term support and protection: the A37 5G has Samsung’s stated update commitment and an advertised IP68 rating.
- Consider the Phone (4b) if its local configuration and price suit you: Nothing’s India page identifies an 8GB/128GB model, while UK display and battery specifications vary by regional listing.
- Decide only after checking current local prices: compare the exact storage tier and seller rather than using Samsung’s US launch price against a changing Indian marketplace quote.
- Do not pick a camera or performance winner from these specifications alone: the available product information does not include a verified head-to-head test.
