If you own Hytale’s Cursebreaker Edition, the reported Founder benefit is one extra Standard Edition copy for each Early Access chapter released before version 1.0. The eventual number is not fixed. What the Founder’s Edition friend-copy benefit means
On October 9, 2026, GamesRadar reported a statement from Hytale founder Simon Collins-Laflamme: “For every Hytale early access chapter we release, Cursebreaker Edition owners will get 1 extra game copy to give away.” His example was six extra Standard copies if six chapters launch before version 1.0.

That example is an illustration, not a guaranteed allocation. The practical rule is one Standard Edition copy per Early Access chapter released before 1.0. Because the number of chapters has not been fixed, nobody can accurately promise a final total today.
Who should expect these codes
The reported benefit is tied to the Cursebreaker Edition. Standard and Supporter purchases do not acquire this particular per-chapter allowance simply because they can be gifted through the store.

Where to look for a Founder copy
Check the inbox associated with the Hytale owner account and the account’s game or gift area for available codes. Delivery and eligibility are account-specific. The published report does not establish that every code has already been issued, that codes never expire, or that an upgrade made after a particular date qualifies retroactively. Treat an absent code as an account-status question rather than assuming the benefit has been cancelled.

How to claim a Cursebreaker friend copy

- Look for an issued Standard Edition code. A code may arrive by email or appear in the account interface. Do not assume that a chapter has generated a code until the account actually shows one.
- Confirm the edition before sending it. The reported reward is a Standard Edition copy, not an automatic Cursebreaker or Supporter upgrade.
- Copy the code exactly and keep a private record. Treat it like a one-time voucher. Do not post it in a public chat, stream description or screenshot.
- Send the code and the official redemption address to one intended friend. The friend should redeem it on their own account at accounts.hytale.com/redeem.
If several chapters have already been released, the account may show several codes, but the October 9 report does not establish a universal release schedule. If a code is missing, support can check the account’s eligibility and delivery history.
How to buy and send a normal Hytale gift
The official gift workflow is separate from the Founder’s Edition allowance. It creates a game profile on the recipient’s own Hytale account after redemption.
- Open the official Hytale store. Select the Early Access edition you want to give. The live store currently lists Standard, Supporter and Cursebreaker Founder’s Edition, each with a gift option. Editions, prices and availability can change, so use the live listing at the time of purchase.
- Select GIFT, not PURCHASE. The two buttons lead to different checkout purposes. Choosing Purchase adds access to the account completing checkout; choosing Gift generates a code intended for somebody else.
- Confirm the purchasing account. Read the gift notice and verify that the order is attached to the intended Hytale account. If the wrong account is signed in, switch accounts before paying.
- Complete checkout and save the transaction ID. After payment, the store generates a gift code and sends it by email. Keep the transaction ID until the recipient has successfully redeemed the code; support can use it to trace a missing or failed delivery.
- Send the code and redemption address privately. Give the intended recipient the code and the official redemption link. A code is the handoff; your password, recovery email and other login details are not.
Important purchase limits
- Gift purchases are non-refundable according to Hytale’s gift help guidance. Check the edition and recipient before confirming payment.
- Gifts are not regionally priced. The buyer is charged the global price shown for the gift transaction, even when the recipient lives in another pricing region.
- The code is intended for the recipient’s account. Do not redeem it first on your own account as a test; that can attach the game profile to the wrong person.
How your friend redeems the code
The recipient should perform the redemption while signed into their own Hytale account. If they do not have one, they can create an account during the process.
- Sign in to the recipient’s Hytale account, or create that account first.
- Open https://accounts.hytale.com/redeem.
- Enter the 16-character gift code. Hytale displays codes in groups similar to
ABCD-1234-EF56-7890; type the letters and numbers exactly as issued. - Review the edition shown on the redemption screen. Stop if it is not the edition the buyer selected.
- Confirm redemption. Hytale creates a game profile on that recipient account.
Once the profile is created, the recipient uses that account for Hytale access. The buyer does not need to remain logged in, and the buyer’s account should never be shared to provide access.

The Founder announcement was reported by GamesRadar from Simon Collins-Laflamme’s statement rather than reproduced here as a full primary account post. For that reason, rely on the official account and support channels for the status of a particular code.
Current editions and the gift choice
The live store currently shows three purchasable Early Access editions with a GIFT option. The store is the authority for the price and whether an edition is temporarily unavailable.

Do not confuse buying Cursebreaker for yourself with sending one of its reported bonus Standard copies. The former is a paid edition choice; the latter depends on the Founder benefit being issued to the owner account.

A purchased gift costs the global price displayed at checkout, regardless of the recipient’s regional pricing. A Founder copy has no separate checkout charge once it has been issued to an eligible Cursebreaker account, but obtaining Cursebreaker in the first place was a separate edition purchase. Since the live store can change prices and availability, compare the current totals at checkout rather than relying on an old post or screenshot.
Do not assume that a Support-a-Creator code reduces a gift. Hypixel Studios’ March 18, 2026 creator terms describe commissions on qualifying game and virtual-item purchases when a creator code is applied, but they do not establish that gift transactions qualify. Use a creator code for a gift only if the live checkout and current program terms explicitly accept it.
Account security and license rules
Never give a friend your Hytale login
Hytale’s account-security guidance says account sharing is not allowed and that the account owner is responsible for activity on the account. A gift code provides separate access without exposing your password, recovery methods, payment details or other personal information.
Do not use unauthorized code sellers
Hytale warns against buying game versions or tokens from unauthorized third-party websites. A cheap code can be invalid, revoked or obtained through a compromised payment method, leaving the recipient without access and making support more difficult. Use the official store or a code issued through the Founder benefit.

Understand the license boundary
The Hytale EULA describes the game license as personal, non-transferable and non-sublicensable. That language supports the official code process: the recipient redeems a license on their own account. It does not make lending your entire account an acceptable substitute for gifting.
Why older gifting advice may be wrong
A December 2025 FAQ said that gifting had not yet been implemented. That answer predates the official gift help article published on September 30, 2026, which provides the current purchase and redemption steps. If you find the older wording in a forum post or video, do not use it as today’s procedure. The live store, current help article and account redemption page take priority.
Troubleshooting a missing or rejected gift
The purchase email did not arrive
- Check the inbox and spam or junk folders for the purchasing account’s email address.
- Confirm that checkout was completed under the intended account and that the payment was successful.
- Keep the transaction ID and contact official support if the code is still missing. Do not buy a second copy until support has determined whether the first order exists.
The code is rejected
- Re-enter all 16 characters, preserving the letters and numbers. Compare the typed value with the original message rather than relying on a screenshot or manually reformatting it.
- Make sure the code has not already been redeemed on another account.
- Verify that you are on the official redemption page and signed into the intended recipient account.
- If the error remains, provide support with the transaction ID or the Founder code details. Do not publish the code publicly while asking for help.
The recipient redeemed on the wrong account
Redemption creates the game profile on the account that is signed in at confirmation. Stop before confirming if the displayed username is wrong. If a mistaken redemption has already happened, contact support promptly; do not attempt to fix it by sharing credentials or buying an unauthorized transfer.
A Founder copy is not visible
- Confirm that the owner account actually holds Cursebreaker Edition.
- Check the account inbox and any gift or code area for a newly issued Standard copy.
- Remember that the reported allowance is tied to chapters released before version 1.0, so a future chapter may not have produced a code yet.
- Ask official support to verify account-specific eligibility and delivery. The available announcement does not establish a universal delivery date, expiry period or retroactive-upgrade rule.
The store shows a different edition or price
Edition names, availability and pricing are live-store data and can change. Reopen the current listing rather than relying on an old screenshot or cached article. If the gift notice, edition name or total is not what you expect, stop before payment because the purchase is non-refundable.

- For a purchase, select GIFT and verify the signed-in buyer account.
- Record the transaction ID and retain the delivery email.
