Which Galaxy family fits your priorities?
Samsung’s US catalog groups its smartphones into Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, and Galaxy A, with a comparison route for models listed there. Those labels are useful for narrowing your choices, but they do not replace checking the specifications and price of a particular model. Galaxy S: a conventional premium phone

Galaxy Z: choose the foldable form deliberately
Consider Z if folding is a feature you actually want. A foldable can offer a different balance of compactness when closed and screen area when open, but the model’s folded dimensions, unfolded dimensions, thickness, and weight matter in daily use. A large inner screen may be useful, yet it does not tell you how comfortable the phone will feel in a pocket or one hand.

Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report describes the Galaxy Z Fold7, a July 2025 model, with an 8.0-inch main display and a manufacturer-listed weight of 215 g. It describes the Galaxy Z Flip7, also a July 2025 model, with a 6.9-inch main display and a listed weight of 188 g. Galaxy A: a value-oriented starting point
Start with the A family if value is the main priority. Because family labels do not establish a model’s exact camera, display, storage, or support details, compare the specific A phone against the price and features of the S or Z models you are considering.

How to compare the exact models
Use Samsung’s comparison route to narrow the listed models, then verify details on each model’s product page for your region. Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report lists display sizes of 6.3 inches for the Galaxy S26, 6.7 inches for the S26+, and 6.9 inches for the S26 Ultra.
