The right CSR2 build starts with the car’s job, not with the rarest part in your inventory. Match a Stage 6 part to the exact car model, raise that component to Stage 5 first, and judge Fusion Parts by Evo Points rather than Performance Potential (PP). Before fitting anything scarce, confirm the slot, inspect both PP and Evo, and note the removal price shown in the upgrade screen.
What you are actually choosing
CSR2 presents several upgrade systems that affect a car’s displayed performance in different ways. A Stage 6 part is a model-specific upgrade that follows Stage 5. A Fusion Part is fitted into an eligible upgrade slot and contributes to Evo Points. Tuning can also affect Evo. PP and Evo appear together, but they are not interchangeable measurements.
That distinction answers the common question, “Why did my PP stay the same after I added Fusion Parts?” Zynga Player Support states: “Fusion Parts give you Evo Points, not Performance Potential. Evo Points can be seen to the right of your car’s rating. Start with the car’s job
There is no evidence-based universal “best” Stage 6 part or best supercar in the official guidance. The correct choice depends on what you are trying to do with that particular car.

Event or campaign requirement
If an event, campaign, showdown, or other activity requires a specific car, build that required car first. A faster-looking rating on a different model does not help if it cannot enter the activity. Keep the requirement visible while deciding whether a scarce part belongs on the car.
Regular racing
For a general-purpose racer, prioritize upgrades you can verify for the exact model and slot. Compare the displayed PP and Evo after each meaningful change rather than assuming that a part with a higher rarity label produces the result you need.
Resource preservation
If you are still deciding between cars, do not install a rare part merely to test it. Stage 6 pieces are described as ultra-rare, and removing a fitted Fusion Part requires the displayed in-game payment. Preserve flexibility until the car’s role is clear.
Stage 6: the compatibility rules
Stage 6 is not an ordinary interchangeable fusion. CSR2 support describes it as an ultra-rare upgrade that is more powerful than Stage 5, but it is tied to one exact model. A Stage 6 part for one model cannot be fitted to another model, even when both cars share a marque. The official instructions are in How do I use Stage 6 parts?.
Why the exact model matters
Check the model name in the part entry, not just the manufacturer badge or the car’s tier. “Same brand” is not a compatibility rule. If the inventory entry does not identify the car you are building, treat the part as unusable for that build until the game confirms a match.

The Stage 5 prerequisite
The matching component must be upgraded to Stage 5 before its Stage 6 version can be fitted. Upgrades proceed in sequence. In practical terms, a Stage 6 engine part cannot bypass an engine that is still below Stage 5; raise that component through the normal stages first.
Where to verify an owned Stage 6 part
Use the garage’s information and inventory screens to check the Stage 6 parts you own. Verify the exact model and component before spending cash, keys, or other resources on the car.
Fusion Parts: measure the right number
Fusion Parts add Evo Points, not PP. Evo is shown to the right of the car’s rating and represents extra performance gained from Fusion Parts and tuning, according to the official support explanation linked above. Therefore, a PP number that does not move after a fusion install is not, by itself, proof that the part failed.

What a non-changing PP tells you
If PP remains unchanged while Evo changes, that is consistent with the documented system. Inspect both numbers and the part’s fitted state before attempting to remove and reinstall it. Do not spend resources chasing a PP increase that Fusion Parts are not designed to provide.
A decision framework before you fit anything
- Define the job. Write down the event, campaign, showdown, or everyday racing role for the car.
- Confirm the model. Match the inventory entry to the exact car model, not merely its marque.
- Check the component level. For Stage 6, make sure the corresponding component has reached Stage 5.
- Separate PP and Evo. Capture both displayed values before fitting a Fusion Part or changing a tune.
- Check scarcity. Decide whether the expected benefit justifies using a rare or difficult-to-replace item.
- Read the removal price. If you may change your mind, note the amount the upgrade screen shows for removing the fitted fusion.
- Fit only after verification. Once the model, slot, stage, and goal agree, install the part and inspect the resulting values.
How to fit a Stage 6 part
- Open the target car in your garage.
- Open its upgrade area and identify the component you intend to take to Stage 6.
- Confirm that the component is already at Stage 5. If it is not, complete the earlier upgrade stages in order.
- Open the garage information or inventory view and locate a Stage 6 entry for that exact model and component.
- Select the matching Stage 6 part and review the game’s confirmation screen.
- After installation, inspect the car’s displayed rating and any available Evo information before making another change.
If the game does not offer the install option, first recheck the model name and the component’s current stage. A part from another model is not made compatible by sharing a manufacturer, and a component below Stage 5 cannot skip directly to Stage 6.

How to fit and evaluate Fusion Parts
- Open the car’s upgrade screen and choose the component with an available fusion slot.
- Review the Fusion Part in your inventory and make sure you are working on the intended car.
- Record the current PP and Evo values shown for the car.
- Fit the Fusion Part and return to the car’s rating display.
- Compare Evo as well as PP. The documented effect of a Fusion Part is an Evo increase; PP may remain unchanged.
- Check that the part appears as fitted before leaving the upgrade screen.
Additional fusion-slot availability can vary by the car and game systems. Use the slots the current game shows for your car rather than assuming every model has the same layout.

Yes. CSR2 support says to tap the fitted Fusion Part in the upgrade screen and pay the cost shown there to return the part to your inventory. The amount is variable or display-based; no universal removal price is published in the support answer. See Can I remove a Fusion Part?.
Removal procedure
- Open the car and enter its upgrade screen.
- Tap the Fusion Part that is currently fitted.
- Read the removal cost on the confirmation panel.
- Proceed only if the displayed cost is acceptable for this build.
- Confirm that the part has returned to your inventory before fitting anything else.
When removal is sensible
- You fitted the part to the wrong car or slot.
- You are reallocating a scarce part to a car with a defined event requirement.
- You need to test a different configuration and the displayed fee is worth the information.
Because removal consumes the amount shown in-game, verify compatibility before the original installation whenever possible.
Where parts can come from
Official support lists several possible acquisition routes. They are opportunities, not guarantees of a particular component or current drop rate.

How to plan around uncertain drops
- Do not promise yourself a particular part just because a route is listed.
- Check the inventory after each reward or crate opening and update your build plan.
- Keep a model-specific wish list so a new part is evaluated against a real car goal.
- Avoid stripping or spending resources solely on an assumed drop rate; the cited guidance does not publish current odds.
Comparing two possible upgrades without a universal ranking
The official pages explain the systems, not per-car performance tables. You can still make a disciplined comparison with the information the game displays.

“My Stage 6 part will not install.”
- Check that the part is for the exact model, not merely the same marque.
- Check that the matching component is Stage 5.
- Confirm that you are viewing the car’s own upgrade and inventory screens.
- If the part still does not appear, do not force the purchase; the official compatibility rules indicate that one of these conditions may not be met.
“I fitted a Fusion Part, but PP did not increase.”
Look at Evo to the right of the car’s rating. Support explicitly says Fusion Parts give Evo Points, not PP. Confirm that the part is shown as fitted and that Evo reflects the change before diagnosing a problem.
“I cannot find a part I expected.”
Acquisition routes do not guarantee a particular component. Check the inventory and the exact model requirement, then consider the listed routes that are currently available to you. Do not infer a drop rate from a single reward.

“I installed the fusion on the wrong car.”
Open the upgrade screen, tap the fitted fusion, and read the displayed removal cost. If you accept it, confirm removal and verify that the part is back in inventory before reallocating it.

“The rating changed after tuning and I am unsure why.”
Fusion and tuning both contribute to Evo according to the official explanation. Record PP and Evo separately before and after a tuning change so that you can identify which displayed measure moved.
Resource and inventory checklist
- Car’s exact model and intended activity are written down.
- Stage 6 entry matches the exact model and component.
- Component is at Stage 5 before a Stage 6 attempt.
- Available fusion slot is visible on the target car.
- PP and Evo have been recorded before fitting.
- Removal cost has been read before committing a Fusion Part.
- Acquisition route is treated as possible, not guaranteed.
- No claim of a “best” car or part is being made without car-specific evidence.
How to keep your build decisions reversible
Use a two-pass approach. In the first pass, inspect compatibility, stage, slot, and expected role without spending anything. In the second, install only the parts that satisfy all four checks. Save your rarest items for a car whose event or racing purpose is known, and leave a fitted Fusion Part in place when the Evo gain serves that purpose and the removal fee would add no useful information.
The official CSR2 site describes its offers as in-game and notes that availability can vary by region: CSR2 Official Site. That regional qualification matters when you are planning around events, crates, or other time-sensitive opportunities; use the offers and activities actually displayed in your edition of the game.

Choose the car first, then verify the part. For Stage 6, exact-model compatibility and a Stage 5 component are non-negotiable. For Fusion Parts, evaluate Evo rather than expecting PP to rise. Treat multiplayer, Rare Imports, challenges, events, and stripping as possible sources rather than promises, and read the in-game removal cost before fitting anything you may need to move. This evidence-led process is safer than chasing a universal ranking the official documentation does not provide.
