Choose by the recipient’s favorite Zelda game or scene first: the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092) suits fans of the tree and either Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild; Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle (77093) is the more focused choice for someone who loves that game’s climax. Then compare the sets’ size, display style and budget. Both are listed for builders aged 18 and up.
Which LEGO Zelda set fits the recipient?
| Set | Best fit | What’s included | US LEGO listing when checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092) | A fan of the Great Deku Tree, or someone who enjoys either Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild. It also suits a recipient who wants a larger display centerpiece. | 2,500 pieces; four minifigures: Princess Zelda and three versions of Link. The build can be assembled as one of two Great Deku Tree versions, then rebuilt into the other. | $299.99; the LEGO US page showed it sold out when checked. |
| Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle (77093) | A fan of Ocarina of Time who especially likes the final battle and its characters, or someone who would prefer a smaller display scene. | 1,003 pieces; Link, Zelda and Ganondorf minifigures, plus a brick-built Ganon and a Navi build. The ruined-castle scene includes interactive and hidden details. | $129.99 on the LEGO US page when checked. |
LEGO lists both sets as 18+ builds. The listed US prices and stock observations are time-sensitive: check LEGO or the retailer you plan to use before buying. A sold-out listing on LEGO’s site does not establish whether another retailer has stock.
How to decide, step by step
- Ask which game or scene they care about most. Pick 77093 for a recipient whose favorite is the Ocarina of Time final battle. Pick 77092 if the Great Deku Tree is the draw, or if the choice between its Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild versions is appealing.
- Consider the kind of display they want. The 2,500-piece 77092 is the larger centerpiece option. The 1,003-piece 77093 presents a specific ruined-castle battle scene in a smaller build.
- Set a budget using the current price, not an old listing. When checked, the US LEGO listings showed $299.99 for 77092 and $129.99 for 77093. Prices can change, and the 77092 page showed sold out at that time.
- Check whether they enjoy rebuilding. The Great Deku Tree set offers two versions, but they are alternate builds: only one version can be assembled at a time. It is not a way to display both trees simultaneously.
- Confirm the set number and availability before checkout. Search or check the product page for 77092 or 77093, then verify the price, condition and delivery timing with the seller. The LEGO listing alone cannot confirm stock or pricing at other retailers.
What makes the sets feel different?
77092: a character-focused centerpiece with an alternate build
The Great Deku Tree set is the stronger match when the recipient values the tree itself or wants a substantial build connected to more than one Zelda game. Its four minifigures include Princess Zelda and three versions of Link. The two tree designs make the set adaptable to a fan’s preferred game, but switching means rebuilding rather than displaying both versions together.
77093: one climactic scene and its cast
The Final Battle centers on the confrontation in Ocarina of Time: Link, Zelda and Ganondorf appear as minifigures, with Ganon represented as a brick-built figure. The ruined castle, Navi build, interactive features and concealed details make it a scene-based gift rather than a choice between alternate versions of a larger subject.

LEGO Design Manager Wes Talbot explained that the team wanted a Ganondorf minifigure to complete the main-character cast. The set’s removable rubble panels and hidden Recovery Hearts also draw on a game mechanic: luring Ganon to rubble so he breaks it and reveals hearts. That reference may make 77093 especially satisfying for someone who remembers how the encounter played.

The piece counts and US listing prices give a practical comparison, but they do not determine which set is a better gift. A recipient who strongly prefers the final battle may value 77093 more than the larger tree build; a Great Deku Tree fan may see the alternate version choice as the point of 77092. The prices below are what the US LEGO pages showed when checked, not guaranteed current prices.

Common gift-buying mistakes to avoid
- Choosing only by piece count. More pieces do not guarantee a better match. Start with the recipient’s game or favorite subject, then use size and price to narrow the choice.
- Assuming 77092 includes two display trees. It is a 2-in-1 rebuild. Only one version can be built at a time.
- Assuming a listed price or stock status will hold. Prices and availability can change. Recheck the product page or seller when you are ready to buy.
- Reading LEGO’s stock status as a market-wide result. A sold-out LEGO US listing does not establish availability elsewhere, and this information does not verify another retailer’s inventory.
- Ignoring the age guidance. Both sets are listed for ages 18+. That is useful context when choosing a gift, even if the recipient’s personal building experience varies.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
